  1. Not much in the way of pictures, but feel bad for those who didn't come to Dumont due to predicted weather! Overall great weather (we arrived Thursday noon) only spending two games of rummy 500 indoors Saturday morning. All the rest was playing in the sand ❤️
  2. Yes. What ^^ dunefreak said ^^. The route we take depends on the load that trip. Tecopa is quicker but that hill...
  3. Like new from 660 Raptor. Sold ATV, come get 'em. Only $300 this is a smoking deal. 702-575-0485
  4. The road was great when we left Sunday before noon.
  5. Ended up renting from ElMonte . . . They were nice, efficient, and reasonably priced with unlimited genny use. Pick up and drop off were hassle free. Would rent again.
  6. Some one said there is a 5' sinkhole in the center that "ate" a truck . . . can somebody keep us updated?!
  7. I've looked at all the Yelp reviews and for each good review, there is a bad review on all the RV Rental plances :-( I guess I'm most interested in how the RV performed (no mechanical failures) and if it was clean.
  8. We sold our trailer and don't think we will have enough time to find something to buy before Halloween. Has anyone ever rented a Class C from Cruise America and taken it to Dumont? Pros and cons if you have . . . . Thanks!
  9. 2006 Forest River Sandpiper Sport 32' Fifth Wheel Toyhauler - SOLD!! We are open to $$ or trade+$$ for a smaller toyhauler. We have title, but we can't take payments - sorry. In great condition and ready for a new family of duners! We only used her twice last season and are down to just 3 people, a RZR and motorcyle so we don't need this big anymore. Going to switch to a small moho or smaller toyhauler. Over the years we have slept up to 10 and carried everything from an Odyssey, to quads, to motorcycles and the RZR. There are two electric beds in the back (the picture shows just one, but we have the other one too and will reinstall if wanted.) There is a fold down dinette bed and opposite is a fold down couch/bed. No rips, tears or stains. Vinyl floor is in good condition, but there are two tire stains in back. Up to you to replace or just throw a carpet over it! 14'7 to first cabinet and 18'6 to the step up to the bedroom. We put the quad in the "kitchen" area between the cabinets. Upfront is a queen bed with under storage. Bathroom with door has toilet and shower. Separate sink and wardrobe. Onan 4000 genny (oil changed every 50 hours). Ducted air and all the standard features. Everything is operational and has always been maintained to keep it that way. Tires are upgraded load e Bridgestones and in excellent condition. 30 gallon fuel tank, 106 gallon water, 44 gallon black and 44 gallon grey. Checkerboard awning. Storage cover (picture was first day of summer, it does have some small wear holes now because these cover suck against LV winds! This is our fourth cover.) Will include fifth wheel hitch for right deal. :-) Thanks for looking and hooray it's almost dune season!
  10. Post up if you find one . . . I'm getting ready to sell mine too. 32'.
  11. Works Performance Pro Shocks from 2004 Yamaha 660 Raptor. Used but excellent shape (low hours). Sold the quad, don't need anymore. These shocks are top of the line and sell for $1200+ new. $500 obo is a fair price. Located in Henderson, NV . Call or text Mark at 702-575-0485
  12. We are super impressed with their customer service too!
  13. Started to load the motorcycle today and the paddle tire won't hold air . . . I think it just needs to be remounted. Hopefully. We live in the Henderson, NV. Can anybody recommend a place to get the paddle remounted tomorrow (Tuesday) preferably near Henderson or Las Vegas? Thanks!
  14. Hey vegas style. Do you recall Steve if you gave me 2 keys when I bought the rzr? We lost the one we use on the way to camping and Can't recall if we have a spare. Thanks! Susan
  15. Anybody in Las Vegas -- need a part (today) if you have one Steering Rack for a 2006 Rhino 660. A friend is out of town asked my help -- we are supposed to go meet him tomorrow (11/30/13) and would like to bring with us. Thanks!
  16. Yes what Sand Chick said .... I love the dunes. I have only been into dune sports for the past 12 or so years (well, I'm told we did it as kids too at ISDRA, but I don't remember) but in that time alone I have watched it change and change and change. There use to be the unwritten rules of duner etiquette since we are all there enjoying the same thing, but this past Halloween I saw a lot of bad element, azzholes, punkazzes there to just party, steal, and just leave their trash behind. Don't get me wrong -- I like to party, but the Girl Scout in me comes out when it comes to trash and common courtesy. I can't imagine how bad it would be if I had to put up with Prius people AND thuggery all because of easy access. Well, it is kinda of funny when I see the rented mini-van full of tourists cutting out across the sand just to get stuck.
  17. Michelin's this time for us -- load range e / 16". Same as above -- no blow outs. Ride well.
  18. We have the ability, we just don't feel the need to push the limit especially going up hill! Why push your truck unless you got extra money to spend on a repair and one day, its going to need the repair. I like to spend my money on good times and if it takes 15 more minutes to get there - so what. It's also safer. We used to run with a group who had to prove to each other whose stuff was bigger, faster, stronger and then we almost ate it when the trailer got squirrelly. Never again. Just slow down and enjoy the trip. What ya hurrying for anyway -- to get back to work?!?
  19. So how much money does something like this cost? In regular dollars not government pricing.
  20. I had just filled the water tank and my daughter was stomping about in a cranky teen who had to help fashion . . . maybe it was the tank settling. I crawled back under there and looked around -- still nothing obvious. I guess extra slow on the entrance road for me.
