Hmmmmmmm I guess nobody sees that as a good thing. I was thinking that calmer heads were prevailing, and that a compromise was coming? :shocked2: It is tough being an optimist.

I still think ecoterrorists are an entirely different beast eco terrorists go out and commit violent acts on persons and property in the name of the environement. I still don't think that environementalist is a dirty word.

I don't have a scanner so here is an article from ATVmag march issue "DUNE RULES Blm offers land use rules Off-highway vehicle access within certain areas of California's Imperial Sand Dunes Recreational Area that was taken away in 2000 might get a second chance for off road uses. The BLM released draft management rules for OHV use within California's 160,000 Imperial Sand Dunes Recreational Area that would apply to 33,000 acres of space that will replace OHV access lost in 2000. Under the proposed rules, OHV use will be permitted but limited to no more than 525 Vehicles a day and not open to overnight camping.The proposed rule also would limit access to the 33,000 acres between Oct 15th and Mar 31 each year. Other provisions include users obtaining a Permit from the BLM, obey posted boundries and display a permit flag under the vehicles existing approved saftey flag. Permit Applicants must complete a short resource conservation program, which will include a written test to demonstrate knowledge of the rules and regulations for the designated area. Proposed penalties for violating these rules include fines up to $1000 and/or up to 12 months imprisonment." :shocked2:

I seem to read and hear alot of discussion about ecoterrorism and environmentalists here. I am not sure but it does seem like those 2 words are thrown around alot and I don't think they are one in the same? It would seem to me that most if not all of us on this site ARE ENVIRONMENTALISTs. aka we do care about our environment, and would hope we leave our campsite cleaner than we found it. Or as an environmentalist would put it leave our planet better than we found it for our grandchildren! I am not sure what the hell an ecoterroist is. I thought it was either destroy the environement who cares what it is like for the next people to come here. or I thought it was those zeolots who go in and destroy labs and let the monkeys run free. I do know what a tree hugger is..... Hot chicks that live in a Tree so the man won't cut it down......and they doody in bags and use them as bombs!! I really don't know what to call the people that piss us all off that try and are succsesful at closing riding areas but I think they deserve their own name.

I just did'nt know for sure. It would be ridiculous for some one to put a plow on a 2 wheeldrive pickup. Now the question is , is all wheel drive as good or better or worse than 4X4 for plowing or anything else?

My daughter downloaded suprise stuff on my MP3 player including Ludacris"Move b*tch get out the way" That is my favorite song to ride to. It is also fun to Listen to Dane Cook and laugh while you ride. I couldn't get ear buds to work in my helmet so I tucked some regular earphones in the earspot inside the helmet and then velcroed them in.

Damn...... I am from the country not the city.......Driving a big a$$ truck around, just to look good now thats a waste. It looks to me as if that truck is gonna go out and make the owner some money, instead of costing him(or her). No No NO it is not a waste, Those trucks are made to work hard, wash it off and then head of to the hoedown I love saying hoedown.

hmmmm :mc_smiley: Maybe there is a reason for this difference. Could be a purposeful design, just because you can drill a hole in it easier, does'nt make it weaker or less structurally sound. All work and no play for me on the strip I like my truck better than either of these cars!!! notice the camper levelers so I could get this thing high enough off the ground to work!

Remember also Pete, they used the jaws of life to extricate the driver and there was no blood. Say what you will the truck did what it was supposed to!!
