  1. Before I whine: I am so glad duniemonkey is OK I left before her accident What a woman!!!! My Weekend report: Before I left, I lost my (wifes) digital camera. Since I spent so much time looking for it; dunefreak,BBBert, and OGP were ahead of me on I-15, so they had to s l o w down for me . It was fun having ourselves a convoy!!! Walkie talkies made the second half of the trip more fun . Lot's of police activity the entire way up there on thursday. Right up to Kanab!!! On the way into the dunes I saw a kangaroo, it may have been a wallaby .I fell off of Berts Raptor, luckily it stopped when it ran over my left leg . The suspension on my quad broke again :headbang: :headbang: . Angela let me ride her KFX. Angela is the Fire Queen!! Thanks AngelaI owe you!! I got it stuck going up a hill and when i lifted the front end out of the sand I crushed the ring finger on my right hand. I was too scared to even look at it until I got back to camp. Somehow it just quit hurting as soon as I got back on the KFX and rode. Oh and I almost forgot. My flagpole snapped in 2 places during one of the wind storms. So.......... in retrospect another great trip with the DDR peeps. since my return to town. New Camera ordered!!!!! Quad is already in shop!!!!! the scrapes I got falling off of berts raptor somehow have already healed. my finger is almost done hurting. Still have to see about my flagpole. Coral Pink Sand Dunes is one amazing place very challenging and beautiful slice of nature. I love hanging out with all of you guys well maybe not all of you but most of you Looking forward to next time!!
  2. I get the feeling I missed someting on this thread??
  3. there ya go desert tires who needs sand
  4. Ok Dave now you put up a quote for us to figure out!
  5. What do they use the silicone in???
  6. POA= piece of a$$!!!! Loved it when they killed the guy in the office!!
  7. OK cmyfirepole you brought this game to a screeching halt no one seems to be able to figure this one out. how about telling us and giving us an easier one something like "badges we don't need no stinkin badges"
  8. Yep it was called angel peak. Youth Camp that makes sense! I saw a big pile of firefighting picks and a bunch of big planks of wood that I see stuff built from all around the campgrounds. They are the ones maintaining the campgrounds and the mountain.
  9. Wow is there ever a bad day riding? We rode up from the west side of 95 right across from Corn Creek/Desert Wildlife Refuge. Made it all the way up to the observatory that I have seen from down here in the valley and when I was on the highway up at the mountain but I never could find a road leading up there. The really strange thing is the football field yes FOOTBALL FIELD in the middle of the mountain!! Maybe it is a landing strip for aliens disguised as a football field. Does any one know what this little city is? It is just right below the observatory. Where I took the pics of observatory and field we were sitting at about 8500 feet. It was cold. You can see vegas down in the distance.
  10. As long as they can be planted in the ground, then yep, cut flowers from a florist HELL NO chocolate is OK :headbang:
  11. Right Dave. He didn't put a new quote up. How about this "you skin grizz pilgrim? Skin thisn and I'll bring you another."
  12. I was thinking and of course it hurt about great movie lines and thought we could make a game out of it!! Here is my thought I would start the game by giving a movie quote, Whoever gets it right would put their quote in and whoever got that right would do their's so on and so forth. "etcetera etcetera etcetera" see how I snuck a movie quote in right there. Who knows what Movie that is from? Who knows the actors name that said it? Of couse if the person making the quote gets it's it wrong there is enough of us on here to correct them and still get the move right. Should it just be get the movie right or should it be the movie and actor or character name? Is there a game on the market like this? Sounds fun to me but my favorite game is called "Whoops I am an Idiot." I will explain that one later. Ok here is my Quote to start the game. Character one: "Who's a$$ did you kiss to get here?" Character two: "The list is long and distinguished!" Oh the answer to "etcetera etecetera etectera" was Yul Brener in The King and I got to be old to know that one.
  13. I just can't remember the last time I gave any customer good service? I live to piss them all off Customers who needs em
  14. Great day riding we rode all the way into pahrump gassed our quads up and drove the quads thru a drive thru restaraunt. Put a total of 90 miles on. That is the most miles in one day for me. But I am ready to ride some more right now. Oh to get there the way I went take 95 north turn left at the prisons, cold creek exit. Follow that rode up into the village of cold creek and off to the right is the begining of trails.
  15. Yea I got a ton of stuff to do too...........so I guess I am going to ride anyway Just got done riding from my neigborhood to my buddies house and loaded quad up there. I have to figure out the right road to get up in there with campers I saw several up in the big pine trees the only time I rode up there, but I know you can't bring a camper up from the cold creek side although you can camp at cold creek but I am sure it will be much cooler up in the pines, I need a close place to camp and ride when it is Hot and I think it is now officially summer!!
  16. Anybody feel like riding from Cold Creek up and over Wheeler Pass?? Gonna go tomorrow Morning and scope out which road you can pull campers up from the pahrump side. Should be nice and cool up there!!
  17. Don I don't disagree with you! I only feel the labels/names you use may not work for me or my perspective. I did like how you said misguided environmentalist. Wait one thing I do disagree with. It is NOT our right to ride it is our priveledge. Just like driving a Car. It is not guarenteed in the bill of rights. and by the way al gore currently has no reason whatsoever to be talked about in our posts unless we are simply thanking him for creating the internet
  18. Oh And something else........ Everytime I have left Dumont or Amrgossa or anywhere else I've camped and ridden, I have seen piles of trash some stupid a$$ just leaves. Even Campsites with dumpsters. I am more pissed off at the people who don't appreciate nature for giving the buttheads more ammunition to take away more space.
  19. Hey Dunefreak....thanks for bringing a sense of reason to this thread. I can't believe the lack of any appreciation for how lucky we are to enjoy riding in the places we GET to ride at. I guess people who hate treehuggers and environementalists are the same pieces of sh*t that leave a whole weekends worth of trash just laying at the dunes because treehuggers and environmentalists are the same people who go out and clean up the dunes because they have an appreciation of nature and feel they are the custodians of the planet not the owners of it . I don't belong to any organizations at all unless this sweet site is an organization. But I guess I would consider myself a tree hugger or an environmentalist, simply because I want to be able to enjoy nature, not destroy it and leave my campsite cleaner than I found it. As far as the complaining about they should have never taken it away from us to begin with, well you can't change the past (hmmm I wonder what a Native American might think upon reading this thread). I think It is a real shame that almost all comments on this thread were negative. It still comes down to we MUST at least act like an environmentalist or tree hugger, we have to do our best to preserve and COEXIST with nature, or someone who doesn't want us to enjoy our freedoms will take any excuse to take more away.
  20. Looks good, it will be an even nicer rig!
  21. I guess I am :shocked2: for thinking any progress is progress?
