  1. just asking ,as that would be another benefit for people to donate to the cleanup as well
  2. i looked at those too before i bought my ranger....neither the sammy or the tracker would fit in my toyhauler :mischevious: but i agree with the power and everything else you said
  3. don't know what happened there i used to stress over the amount of fatalities at oceano, until someone pointed this out to me take the number of people that go to Dumont for the entire year (probably close to a few hundred thousand???) then take the number of fatalities at the riding area for the year go on the internet and look for cities in the US with similiar population demographics compared to the number of people that visited Dumont in the year The number of fatalities and deaths is going to be MUCH higher for those cities with similar population numbers... any time there is a fatality in a riding area, it's sad, as it probably could have been avoided. On top of that those stats are looked at very hard by our opposers, and also used in the assault against us and our riding areas. Very sad indeed RIP
  4. is FoDD a non-profit organization? (501c3) what im asking is if we can claim a donation to the raffle on our taxes?
  5. one thing about ASSUMING that no one would hit the cones......you never can control what type of situation is going to occur, or who or what is right over the other side of ANY dune. if two vehicles, for whatever reason, had to dodge each other on the top of that dune, and one rider decided the orange cone was a better hit than the front of the oncoming vehicle, well then, your metal stakes would have probably proven it wrong. personally, i have never been on a big weekend with my family. but I have been to other riding areas that get about the same as Dumont Does on a big weekend, but in a 1500 acre riding area....pretty dense camping arrangements, with the next camp not yards away, but FEET away. in order to keep other people from coming in our camp, we tighten up the circle as best we can, park vehicles between rigs, and work it so we have 1 entrance/exit for our camp. this cuts down on AZZHAT trespassing considerably. as I am with a child myself, i can fully understand the want/need for you to worry about the safety of yours with 20-30K people, with various dune machines, but at the risk of putting your fellow duners at risk for a bad accident? the one cool thing about dumont, is, compared to where i have ridden sand, the place is HUGE...and it has the little dunes too, which, in my opinion, is prolly the best place one could insure the safety of his/her children the best. I appreciate your honesty coming on here and admitting the stake incident, and I understand that it is all about the safety of your children in the dunes. I think though, that if one wanted to be the SAFEST, then right underneath a dune, especially with a steep dropoff, isn't the safest place in a riding area.
  6. :kissass: :rant_on: dirt HOMOZ is EXTREMELY opinionated ,especially when it comes to who takes out the most advertising in their mag....example..........while a subscriber for over 5 yrs, i not ONCE saw ANYTHING written that criticized Yamaha in ANY WAY on virtually all their products reviewed by them .....but, they take a DS650, stock, and pit it against an ERASER.(european-built badazz 20K+ quad out of the box), which, anyone could tell ya, would hand ANY BIKE, much less the DS, its azz on a platter. well, it happened, then the dirt HOMOZ crew just trashed the DS650, and Bombardier(the name of the company at the time) for how bad the bike performed against th ERASER no raptor no kfx 700 no honda 400 :boyyy: EFFE DIRT HOMOZ OK... i feel better now oh yeah...the 450 input from the riders are that the low end isnt all that great, but the mid and high ends are the shizz....most likely wont get the holeshot, but can carry itself through the rest of the race, if thats what you do. not much reports i have read on the can am forums about duning it yet tho..

  20. man those things are fast a guy pulled up to me at a light in a stock 4wd one like that one you have, wanting to race.....im in my d-max, with a 60 hp tune on it, and i was LETS GO AZZHOE!!! ill tell ya, its agood thing i had that tune on, cause i barely pulled him till the next light....had i had about 100 more yards, i would have hit the meat of my powerband and dusted him...but from a dead stop to about 45 mph...it pulled pretty good for a stock nissan.
  21. you could run that sayno DVD/CD player in the above thread i posted, then connect it to this kicker zx700.5.. 5 channel amp and still be able to run in 12v...but with the tv on youre gonna have to fire up the genny anyway, so its all good. you have outside speakers too, right? you could piggyback them off the front channel of the amp as well ive seen some of those amps on ebay, refurbs from the factory @ around 150 $ too
  22. actually....roping off, coning off or sectioning off any public land, without a permit, is illegal. if he were to take the cones down, and give them to the people who owned them, and informed them, then he wouldnt be doing anything wrong but if he were to STEAL someone elses property, then he could face going to jail for gankin somebodies 25 dollars worth of orange cones and thinkin don't mix
