  1. You just look at the poor sole at glamis week before last was going 65 mph right by the camping area and hit a kiddy rutt flipped severl times with the whole family in the car.. and the driver was killed....

this is the kind of thing that flags help prevent (caution ) there are ppl around....

Now you brought up another sore subject that should probably be the start of another thread......

Just this weekend at Amargosa one of our riders hit one of those abandoned kiddy tracks and she broke her wrist in 3 places!! :headbang: Ouch!! .....and she wasn't going over 10mph. This one was the end of our close calls with kiddy tracks.....I can't count how many close calls we've had with those booby traps! :rockwoot:

I have no problem with taped off kiddy tracks...but don't be so lazy as to leave it as is when you roll up and go home. After that incident I noticed a bunch of kiddy tracks left by kids and more importantly their parents......doesn't seem very responsible to me either! :headbang:

When my kid was that age I made sure I took a shovel out and buried the berms and ruts before going home.....and NO my kid never played on the fingers when he was that small. I'm not willing to take stupid chances with his life.

  2. Looks like I might have to go up there this summer Heck I ride @ Apex in july and august just because I dont get much time to ride at all Lets plan a trip. ROAD TRIP ROAD TRIP ROAD TRIP..!!!!!!!

I'm definitly in for some PINK!!

  3. I realllly want the ceiling to go.. i hate that accoustic spackle crap... want to just scrape it all down float it out w/ some real mud then apint it.. but ehh.. whatever..

We just did our whole house....it was a mess but it looks good now. We were lucky though...if there's no paint on the popcorn a little water will allow you to scrape it right off. Either way....BIG improvement already.

  4. Jeez the damm thing is so big it has a entrance and an exit door! :beercheers: It looks like you may have to add a Wal Mart greeter to your payroll. Hi, welcome to Pete's Place"

    :beercheers::beercheers:

Very Sweet Pete!!! is there room in there for your buggy? i like the floor. my hauler has the roll out carpet, thats getting really old rolling up and down everytime we go out!! look forward to hitting your place up as the party place this weekend!!

ok i just looked at the pics again, look like you do have carpet you roll out?

We have the carpet too....but that stays home when we go to the dunes.

  5. I was wondering what was up with the TV thread and why it keeps coming to the top. Knowing you guys I should have checked it out earlier.........

    :beercheers:

    Now that's FUNNY!!

I was thinking ISBB should put that in his new toy hauler right next to the outdoor $hitter!!

    :beercheers:

  6. basically it is or we wouldnt be out there? think about it arent rails and quads our toys and what are we doing with them when we are there, playing. sorry nick almost forgot, you 2 wheelers also included

Yes it is....but when big kids mix in with the little kids it's obvious who's going to get hurt.

It still doesn't make it cool to tape off the dunes.....no matter how you twist it.

  7. Nobody knew I was hurt at the time. I just got up REAL quick and got the fk outta there. :beercheers: I was in some serious pain, but noone noticed.

....and you're all better now right? How did the stick and sponge work out!!!

    :shocked2:

  8. :beercheers:

I have to agree....you shouldn't be taping off any dunes for yourself....the flats are different. You are asking for it if you have little kids playing on the dune. Why not let them play in the street.....just tape it off.:shocked2:

    No disrespect intended.

  9. XPS M140 w/ Intel 250 Pentium Mobile chip, 1gb ddr2, 60gb 7200rpm drive and all the other little goodies.. :D and its the 14" widescreen w/ truelife display which is absolutly KILLER!! needless to say im VERY happy w/ my purchase

Did you get the DVD/R with that?

  10. This might be a little off topic, but for the first time at Amargosa there was actually a vendor, sand crazd, on Sat March 4.....they left that day and returned with toys to ride on Sun. I can't imagine they sold much. They had Dumont shirts that I tried to talk them down on, only because we were at Amargosa. They weren't going for it!!!

  11. You spend most of your time at work looking at pictures of the sand....

You spend most of your time on the internet looking at satellite photos trying to spot a new sand dune....somewhere....anywhere.....

    It's only been 3 days....and I'm craving the dunes.

  12. We are referring to the sandrail market as a whole these days. 10K is by far not a cheap price tag to me either, but as a whole it is cheap compared to a 50 or 60K car. :laughoff: Sandrails have come a long way and it's crazy how many high dollar rails are out there in the dunes. :laughoff:

Alright...I'll buy that one. But it is still hard to believe that some of the top dollar rails cost more than my house sold for in '91. Even worse is that they cost more than my '05 2500HD 4x4. :finger: I would love one, I just can't swallow the price! Even a ride in one would be nice, but I'm sure that'll really hook me in even deeper than I am now. :laughoff: I guess when I pay off my truck I might be able to finance one and probably will!! I've had to get into this sport a little at a time. I'd like to know how most of these folks are affording the high dollar LT rails....it's hard to believe there is that much $$ out there...but I'm sure there is. I need to get out of the Govt sector and into the private sector.

    :laughoff:
