My boss pulled a frickin sneak attack... 20 bucks says im going to end up sitting around here w/ my thumb up my a$$ waiting on him and he wont come thru... its just the way that f*cker works... tells me he has a new project that needs to be implemented today so they can start calling this weekend... and i dont know sh*t about it... something that would take me about 45 min to get straight but he still isnt done w/ his part and said ohh ill have it sometime this afternoon.. yaa right... if he doesnt get it to me by the time he leaves tonight im rollin at 7 fk that!

I have only had two cars and I'm on my second car now. My first buggy was a b-day present from my wife, she bought it with trailer and spare parts for a whopping $2500 and it ran like a champ!! It was a two seater Chenworth frame car with a 1600cc VW engine that I tried to blow up but couldn't. My second and current car is a Prowlers Sand Sprite 4 Dual Sport 4 seater mid-travel car with a 2275cc VW in it. This car runs like a champ also especially now that I put fuel injection on it. The family and I have a blast in it!!!!!......

You had me worried...I have a SandSprite 4 - mid engine (no travel!!) so I went here to check it out.

This is my first rail, and it's on the 2nd season....hoping to go to powder coat in the off season. It's a blast even with a 1835 in it. Someday I hope it will grow up into a LT rail. I really like the Tatum a lot.

FYI: Engine oil becomes dirty (darker) from fuel, not sand.

If you got some sand in the oil, you should't really see any difference in the color when you change it.

Firepole, I used to change mine every other trip in my vwpowered cars. Valvolene vr1. Cheap insurance for aircooled engines. I assume thats whats in your car, a vdub?

Yes..... nothing major just a 1835cc. I'm also using a K&N remote filter. I'm not sure if it's worth $12 a pop, but I just wanted to be safe than sorry.

On my last trip my breather hose split...I didn't catch it till who knows how much later. I was hoping for cleaner oil on this last oil change, but it's kind of tainted test with the hose split. I'm going to bump it up to every other trip and see how it looks then. Hopefully it'll look cleaner.

I'm curious how often most of you change the oil on your sandrails....

I've been out 3 times and just pulled the plug....it's pretty black. Dirtier than I would have thought.

we use the same software as other forums and people automatically think we are trying to copy thier design and we arent... some things just look similar cuz it takes time to make a skin or theme look unique.. and im still workin my a$$ off to make ours diffrent.. and 100x better!!!

There are a lot of sites that use the same forum software. I'm in the trade and can recognize it. However, I never meant to even give the impression that this site is the same as the others. I'm here and contributing because I think it's unique and the peeps here show respect. I am a computer and database programmer.... and also do application support for over 17 apps where I work. I always try and beg, borrow or steal what I can then code the rest. I don't believe in re-inventing the wheel and it would be foolish to spend countless hours coding a portal.

However, IF you ever need any help....you can call on me. I do have some skills besides talkin' shiat around here!!

and yes like pete said.. any image attached to a post will be watermarked and any image added to our (now not a surprise) Gallery will get a watermark as well... And i will end up using the coin logo as the other one just isnt panning out the way i planned... Now to re-create the coin and make it look 200 times better..

We are still working on it. It will probably be a 50% transparent and might be the coin logo instead if we can get it readable when kinda small. Please be patient as we try to get it dialed in.

When I heard about the sewn in Crow's ripping.....I replaced mine right away. I was going to ask Crow to replace the bottom portion of the shoulder harness but after inspecting them they were out of date, and they were the 2x3's. We are building a baja for my son, and just put in the class 11 cage.....so there was a new set of 3x3's available and not being used at the moment. I like the 3x3's much better and my son wants his replaced with the 3x3's with sewn in padding.

I'm also thinking about moving my rear bar where the shoulders mount....I'm not super happy about where it is now.

The main reason why i dont mine vegas at all... When i want to go somewhere on the weekend the traffic always plays in my favor.. I leave town traffic is backed up coming into town.. im coming home traffic is backed up leaving town... its great..

Yeah...that's the great part about livin' here. When I go to Dumont I go through Baker and fuel up...then it's through Tecopa then a detour via the Red Rock Loop (to avoid the line at I-15) and then home.

I hear people saying every 2-3 years replace your belts... i believe they go by 2 years cuz thats what major racing sanctions go by..

It's 2 years and from what I understand all belts have a date stamp on them. I don't think twice about it..... It's too cheap considering the cost of injury of life.

it was the first trip for the car I was told he had just got it. he was having ps problems with it.
