  1. Thanks. Can you be a little more specific? Is the business name "Powerhouse" or "Pure Evil racing"? Do you have a contact number?
  2. Like a lot of RZR's my 07 needs a top end rebuild. It's a simple motor so I'd rather do most of it myself than deal with the moron, pricks at Ridenow. Can anyone recommend a machine shop that can handle this work in Vegas? Once rebuilt, I'll probably sell the beast because we just don't use it enough.
  3. They may have been testing and doing setup for San Felipe which is next weekend.
  4. 10-4.. We actually have two cars running. My 10 car. I start then Joe Desroisers does a few laps and Rick Paquette finishes up. We figure we'll get-er-done by about 1600hrs. The second car will run in Unlimited Sportsman and will start with the oldest racer entered, Clare Ross at age 71 and Su Shannon. That car will be out 'till 2200hrs. ANd for more trivia, their car raced it's first race ever at the Mint back in the 1980's. The 10 car is in my avatar now. This from the MORE Kartek Dash a few months ago.
  5. We are racing in Class 10 and our car will be on display on Fremont Street on Thursday night. Cheers
  6. It is clear that she is not a tweaker! That's a rarity in those parts.
  7. Maps are up.. http://www.bitd.com/main/index.php?m...Document_id=14 I still do not know where I will be.
  8. Good for you Aaron! I tried to download/view your videos but the links attempt to instal .php files on my system. No bueno. BTW, has anything firmed up for the Vegas CORR race? This is a must for a large tailgate event.
  9. Jola All, It looks like we will be at the "timed" start/finish. Details to follow. Of course the smoker will be smokin', No mudslides this time. The next event is the MORE race at the end of May. We will be entering the Chili Cookoff and two vehicles in the Sportsman class. You are all welcome to stop on by. Cheers
  10. Dave, we are squareing up plans now. We may see you all out at the A-Dunes.
  11. We went to Spot-X and avoided the clown factory. There were more people there than I have ever seen but no injuries to report all weekend.
  12. Sunday pics. Sorry for the late post.
  13. Click on originals to see high resolution versions.
  14. No, she is a US Senator from Kommiefornia and anti-OHV to the core. Her and Feinstein orchestrated the Desert Protection Act of decades ago that created the Mojave Preserve and completely ended OHV access outside the designated areas in Kali. She is flat out eff'ing evil!
  15. Boxer is paying her debt to her Eco-Extortionist Handlers. And, if you voted Democratic in the last election, you voted for the demise of the OHV community.
  16. Not sure if my post is a dupe but check this out. One of the moron locals at this year's Baja 1000 gets smacked by Alan Pflueger's Trophy Truck. The word is he lived.. http://www.dirtworksfilms.com/videos/ojosinsanity.wmv
  17. Bad part about this is that the car was fully intact after the crash except for an AN fitting that cracked or snapped spewing race gas.. POOF!
  18. Plenty of Sonic's in Las Vegas. Great Onion Rings and BLT's. The burgers are pretty tasteless. As for 'Mad Greek". They place is extremely overpriced but I do grab a Strawberry Shake once in a while. They are very, very good. We always try to eat when camp is set up because cooking is a big part of our trips. A few here can atest.
  19. We headed down yesterday to SoCal for from Vegas for a family gathering. There was a steady stream of toy haulers and mohos towing toys going east all the way to Baker. We dropped down to Devore at about 1700hrs and witnessed bumper to bumper traffic going east all the way from the 15/215 merge to the 15/10 interchange. THAT'S BAD TRAFFIC! They were crawling for 15+ miles YOW!!!!!! Some people must have arrived at midnight in Dumont. We moved out of SoCal in 1992. I don't think I could bear the traffic now.
  20. Would Helmets have mitigated the fatal injuries?
  21. Yup! Did a 20 mile shakedown. All good. The trailer has a 10k gvwr. I expect some cracking on the original trailer in a few years. When that happens, I will rip up all the floor boards and reinforce the lower side rails in the front.
  22. I took up metal fab last spring. I had no idea what I was doing, no training and no clues. My goal was to fit all of our family OHV's on my flatbed so that our rig was just shy of 65' long - the Kalifornia length limit. The base trailer is a 10k GVWR, Carson RV Special. It has big axles, a big frame and brakes on both axles. The paint looked like it was applied from left over Testors model airplane cans and that can only be testament to the stupid exco-extortion laws in the Kommie run state to my left. I bought a nice little Miller 175 MIG welder, a cheap chop saw and I dug out my old carpenters square and went to it. Before I cut, welded or ground (I did a lot of grinding), I used Microsoft Visio to get my dimensions spot on (The rig has an inch to spare going through the shop door). The trailer deck was my second project. The first project was a mobile cart for my trusty Bradley Smoker "R2D2". It has some special geometry, to say the least. Anywaze, the top deck came out great and I have enrolled in the Wizard Fab class and man-o-man have I learned some technique and tricks. I am not sure what the next project is but, I am pretty sure it will move under it's own power albeit with small humans at the controls only. That's R2D2 smoking some brisket in the bottom right corner. The total investment is about $5750 excluding my time. We'll be at Rasor Rd this comming weekend, 10/27-29. See this thread if ya wanna void the crowds at Dumont. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/i...?showtopic=1984 See you all in the dez!
