  1. thanks everyone for all the input. hopefully will have some nice weather this weekend; we are hoping to make it out. after turkey day weekend ive been blessed with the need to get a rail, buggy, or side by side.
  2. loose screws; popped up on you tube.....
  3. yeah he ending up getting 700 for them; when i saw him the other day i screamed out the truck that i'd give him 350!
  4. my neighbor was the dude with the 2 sick knives; from the WW1 era. Said he was trying to sell them on craigslist and that the history channel contacted him and asked him to come down. no money involved, just 4hrs of is time and now he's "famous"; haha just kidding......they were sweet pre geneiva act knives though.....
  5. hello all, first off i kn ow that that this is a "dune" site; but im sure most of you also trail ride as well. im new to the west coast; or at least much more west than mimai, fl, im looking for some good riding areas with trees, grass, wildlife, etc. we've got sports quads and will soon hopefully be adding some new toys to the collection. i've camped way north "fish lake" but did not have the toys; seemed like a sweet area to bring them though. heard coral pink kinda has a mixture of sand and trails / trees. any input would be great! the wife enjoys the dunes, but really wants to explore mountain trails..... we started to explore the mt charleston area but never made it all the way up; i've been told you can go all the way over to pahrump..... thanks DDR.....oh also, what type of turn out are we expecting to see at the 70cc regatta?
  6. hello all! well i headed out with 2 other friends on thurday mourning; this was the first trip for all of us.....i moved here from Miami, FL a year ago... Kevin "me" (blue and gray Cannondale (USA), Travis "honda 400" is from Utah, and Nick "the orange (#%@#%@) banshee is from Michigan. We were all over whelmed with the dunes, especially with the turn out. we tented it, and thankfully had enough firewood, but damm the sand storms were kinda redic! first night of riding was a pain in the $@#, we kept getting lost and could find our little camp; but by friday we were good to go. Friday night at the Hill was out of control, im hooked no doubt! watched some dude in a 2 seat rail "red 406 powered" shoot up and over the right side of comp hill doing at least 75; figured he was a goner, but came back over a minute later with a cracked frame and a hell of a story to tell...... we made it out to the south pole for the meet and greet; tried to be as friendly as possible. talked to sand chick, john "never to old to be blown", jimmy "tricked out blue side by side?", and a few others, but everyone was kinda keeping to them selves, so headed out once the rails started heading out. either way, good to meet some of you. i want a ride in a rail SOooooo bad! well couple BS pics attached and maybe meet some more of you DDR's in the near future...... long story short; we had a great time; wish we ended up in a big group though......next time.....
  7. thanks, on a budget and trying to pick something up here local.......ive got a honda bolt pattern.....hit me up if anyone has some their looking to get rid of......
  8. wow that kinda sounds bad! either way new to the sand and have yet to have the chance to ride with front sand tires. whats the deal with a single vs double ribbed tire? got a quad "Cannondale" and curious what i should try to grab for T-day weekend; just basic free riding.... looking forward to the meet-n-greet..... Thanks,
  9. ill be there for my first meet as well as my first trip to the dunes; counting the days.....
