well i finally got myself a dslr nothing high end; just tired of the pocket camera! especially since i got a baby girl due any day now !, but got a steal on a canon xs with kit lens....it will do for now; either way made it though this complete thread....lots of great shots here..... fe135 how long was you exposure on these launch shots? is there kind of a known standard for star trails? thanks and im sure will be seeing some badass shots from this halloween weekend; not gonna make this one due to blown quad motor and baby any day..... manxter, checked a few things......we really need to know what ECU is in there, because some used a 4th wire on the TPS for idle. its all depends also on what engine is in there. i got the pinouts for the TPS and what the correct readings should be; just need to throw the volt meter on there and check the readings. try to get that ECU model #, but the symptoms point to the TPS.......(the neighbor)

holly cow! just now checked from my post earlier and i'm amazed with the response i i got from what i mentioned. i've been out here (moved from Miami) for almost 2 years now (4-5 times to dumont) and have been amazed with how great the crowd is out here let alone everyone from this site. i've been to a few meets at the pole and chatted with a few as well. ive done my share of BS as a kid, but damn i never understood the whole "tagging" graffiti crap! not sure if my schedule will allow to make it out this sat, but i will do my best. i'm truly just glad to see positive responses from everyone on here and that this pointless destructive act will now turn into a bathroom with a fresh coat of paint! thanks to all who chimed in......

i have an engine cradle on my quad and its aluminum so a tig wil be needed. its like 3/4" square tubing a should be able to be done on the quad, just tilt it on its side. its still holding together just cracked at the oem weld point. hopping someone can help me out for a little $$$. here's a pic..... not lookin for anything fancy and not stressed about the powder.... ooops, no we had a hauler for that trip! had that sucker in the 50's like an ice box......i think next weekend will be be fine, it drops enough during the the night.......besides we relocated from Miami about 2yrs ago and the wife is cold if it drops below 75, yes i know a freak indeed and there is not a drop of humidity out here.....either way ill be out there chillin.....

heading out sat-mon hopefully. were gonna camp around the lake; just tenting it.......anyone going or want to meet up? i was out there last 4th of july and had a blast! having the lake with temps over 115 and near 120 made it much doable, but the weather should be awesome! let me know few quads, wives, kids, dogs.......

same here, we rolled in on friday evening and setup camp, sat am the dunes were perfect and had a few great runs. went for the the last run before the sun went down and dropped the tranny / clutch in the quad. after playing around tryin to pull it bak finally decided to go back and get the truck; i was stuck over on the south side behind the mountain with the cross on the top. when i got back to camp for the truck, we had lost 2 tents, 2 canopies and had about 2inces of sand in every tent! no good, the wind was a blowing! packed up and headed home. on on another note did anyone see that @!@$ of a father let his no older than 11yr old boy hit comp saturday afternoon, in a fully decked out rail? well we did and he made it up the hill about 2/3 and rolled it 4-5 times on the way down, we all knew somthing was gonna happen, i was the first one to get there, once i checked that the kids were ok, i let the troops take over but thats no good! running the flats is kinda pushing it to begin with but hitting comp is plain out dumb! i mean really the kid probably was 10 or a 11 and the rail just had way too much power......

thats sick! wonder if the government has any machines similar to that.....only problem i see is the weight do to the nature of the design in order to with stand those conditions on the drive line / suspension.

well glad to heat that some of our DDR peeps will be making it out. i still have yet to get a solid answer......what type of crowd should we expect out there? got a quite a big group myself going, and many first timers; i myself have only been a few times and those were the big holidays. hoping that comp hill will have some action? we will all be heading out friday-sunday and tenting it up.....no toy haulers yet; hopefully some day. as crazy as the weather is now we should see some good weather though......right!

i feel ya as well....this thread is tearing me up just reading everyones posts. i've got a siberian husky that is going on 11; crazy thing is shes in amazing condition. we all make jokes and call her the grandma dog, but i cant imagine day to day life with out her. shes been through my complete 20's and those were some years.......ok...ok....either way your doing the right thing if he's in pain and suffering....with you the best!

no, got a f150 gray on black rims....need a sticker as well....funny i'm buying a home too, in underwriting now and hope to close by mid-week.....what do you need money for other than the gas to get there......good luck on purchase, its a frigging nightmare out there!
