  1. Since my Saturday gig got cancelled i decided to go ahead and make the trip to Coral Pink. Rap_ I am glad to hear that you experienced Coral Pink. It is absolutely beautiful there. Sucks about the wind, but with wind comes smooth dunes. Thank you for stopping by and sharing your adventure with us. Also, what is your youtube screen name? (I now want to check out this video)
  2. This will save time & money. The days of driving across town to get a CA tag are almost over. I do not mind paying for our vehicles to be registured. Will I still need to buy a temporary OHV registration when I ride in other states that require registration? No. A valid Nevada OHV registration decal will allow you to ride your OHV in other states that have an OHV registration program
  3. All this talk about where to meet is GREAT, now let's decide. I say 4Kegs or Roberto's..... :surrender: Also, what time? I have a doctor's apt at 5pm, but the Family & I can join everyone after.
  4. Hey, I enjoyed this one trip...I gained a spatula & pepper - LOL
  5. The dunes will not be the same without you & your family. You are one of the best driver's and I have enjoyed every ride you have taken me on. Hopefully "maybe" will change into "YOU will be there next season". I just read your comment to Bill and his reply, WHY? (shocking voice)
  6. All this damage at only 15mph! WOW - Thank GOD they are all alive. Stock roll cages are garbage! And in this photo, it appears the frame folded. I think I will re-think about getting a four seater. And I hate to be a smart azz - But; what the heck was Polaris thinking, car seat belts in an off road vehicle?
  7. We ended Dumont season with 4 days of riding. We arrived on Wednesday, unloaded and headed out to check out the dunes. MarbleMD In his RZR and my kid and I in my husband’s RZR… Mike thought it would be okay to go over a razor back – NOT ME. Down I went to the bottom. Mike asking; what the hell? – Me, I’m not duning the RZR, I want to putt putt around. So, off to the lower dunes we went. We made our way to North Pole and then to comp to play on the hill. Back at camp, we chatted and laughed about stupid stuff. No camp fire, the weather temperature was perfect to watch the stars. WOW – Thursday rides, rides, and more rides. We started the day with Mike teaching my kid how to ride. And in only a few hours she was jumping dunes and going over razor backs. Later that afternoon RapRider arrived and we headed out to jump and play. I sat back and watched Mike, Adam and Kid jump. There was one jump that Adam took and my kid followed – “I think I nearly sh!t myself” – She was probably six feet in the air, landed and came back around to do it again…Remember, she just learned how to jump a few hours earlier… When she took this jumped, I zoomed down the hill, stopped my bike, looked for Mike to see if he seen what I just seen … Both of us were shaking our heads, because for a quick moment – I thought the worst…But she “Rocked It” claps all around. A special thanks to Mike for taking the time to spend the day teaching her how to ride. Rides, Rides, Rides . . . Good Morning Friday … Here we go again for another day of lots of rides. I took the back of the line behind three males..yep, only girl in line. Mike leading, Adam behind, and older (young spirited) man, and then me; off we go…Over the finger dune and out into the dunes we went… I thought to myself – “Don’t let the old man fool you”… The guys would wheelie, jump, speed, & slide around corners…I was impressed at myself for staying in line. But then my bike just shut off up a dune and I didn’t have time to turn around, so I got stuck – grrrr moment! The guys turned around and rescued me…off we went and made it to the North Pole. Relaxed for a few, and then headed out behind Comp Hill and back to camp. GREAT RIDE Its Friday Night… We headed over to comp and went up and down a few times…WEEEEEEEEEWEEEEEEEEEEEE all the way down. I thought it was just Sandchick and I going up, but here came a few RZRxp’s wanting to race. Needless to say – “I don’t race, nor care to” But I will go up for fun and I reached the top and slowly came back down checking out the few people that were hanging out. Back to camp for drink-drink time around camp fire, but when things became challenging, it was time for bed. (Enough said) Rise & Shine its DUNE time. It’s Saturday and I am getting tired and sore from the past few days of riding. No time to whine, its ride time…5 quads, 1dirt bike, and 1 car. CampIdiot lead us over Banshi Hill to have fun. At times I cut corners to catch up but managed to stay in line. As the leader he made sure everyone was there. He would circle around dunes for all to stay in line and to make sure we were all there. And then…Oh’ NO happened – One quad wrecked. When I realized there were no major injuries, he left and headed to the North Pole to meet my husband. As I was waiting, everyone else arrived saying he was behind. But thank goodness he was there…I was hot and he had water for me. After lunch ynot and his friend arrived for an afternoon ride. A few quads & my husband headed out for a ride. My Husband (not on DDR) came back saying it was a FUN ride. I watched the Go-Pro video and I definitely missed out. Maybe next season. After relaxing, SandSnake led his girl and me on a quad ride. We started over the finger dune towards the back side of comp. We hit untouched sand, some tracked sand, and razor backs. And just when I had the feeling he was leading us over comp hill he stopped to check if I was okay. He said, yep, but I don’t go over comp. We were right there, but he was cool about cruising around the dunes to comp. We relaxed for a few and headed around towards the North Pole we made a pit stopped and I tried riding someone else’s Suzuki where I felt the difference in her quad to mine…Time to get a front stabilizer and a few other parts. (Mike – no need to comment, YOU were RIGHT) Great Ride again! By this time, I am now thinking I have to book a spa day just to relax. In the early evening CampIdiot mentioned a Ranger rolled down a finger dune. A few of us rushed over there…Brian looked at me and said cell phone; I rushed back to camp to get his wife’s phone and back to the accident. SandSnake was already there calling 911. The male was bleeding from his head and someone applied pressure to his head. A Military paramedic arrived on scene applying pressure and bandages to his head. Kristen headed out to find his camp/family and I headed to the ranger’s station to meet the ambulance. When I arrived at the station, another man was injured from rolling a RZR or Rino. Paramedics’ arrived and one stayed with the injured at the station and the other just tossed his equipment in my RZR and said take me to the other accident. With everyone’s fast thinking, the man was treated and released from the hospital with 7 staples in his head. I am unsure what happened with the other male but he was air lifted. I hope he made it home safely. After all this… Dinner & Movie around the camp fire sounds great. “Talladega Nights” and Carne Asada burritos (Thanks Jodi for cooking our last dune dinner for the season) It has been an adventurous season.
  8. Myself and the kiddo should be there Wednesday Night unless I change my mind and leave Thursday morning. (my mind always changes) I am hoping for great weather and not tooooo hott *I forsee GOODTIMES*
  9. I have two TMW roll cages - "It saved my life", along with the harness seatbeats. This is a great deal. Hope it sells fast for you.
  10. I have a quad & trailer you can borrow. All you need is your riding gear & 'Burb'. *I should be on the beach sipping umbrella drinks*
  11. **sorry so my report is so late**BUSY all week** But here it is Locked & Loaded Thursday afternoon. I started in North Las Vegas and made my way to Dumont in a few hours. I arrived with the sun shining, warm weather, smooth dunes, and VegasStyle relaxing. Unloaded and headed out to comp hill to take a picture to send to my Husband; let him know I made it safely. Due to Mother Nature, comp hill had a few new ripples near the top of the hill. After going up & down comp a few times we headed around through the back side of Comp and made our way to camp. NO, need for a camp fire…It was really a waste of wood – the weather was comfortable for shorts & T-shirts. Friday – We went out on a few relaxing rides. Saturday- I woke up right on time to get ready and head over to the "Clean Up" registration booth with Stacey. At first I was unclear what I will be doing as a volunteer; but needless to say, Stacey spoke right up and informed me. "Come on Down, Don’t be Shy" sign the clip board, get a ticket for AWESOME prizes (whips, chairs, tools, ATV tours, Season Passes, goggles, and much more), buy additional tickets for 50/50 prize, and grab a few garbage bags to pick up trash…. Simple, I can do this. After a fast morning, it was time for lunch (providing by BLM) and Terry drew names for the amazing prizes. I had ‘1’ ticket in the drawing and I WON – a magnetic pen. I passed it on to MarbleMD. "Watch out!" – Shirts are flying into the crowd, people are excited and having fun. ---SandSnake is standing on the back of an XP – one is headed Jim’s direction; he leaned over the top of the XP and was within reach of the T-shirt (and when I thought it was a touchdown)… some random guy came out of nowhere, and intercepted it. LMAO Later that afternoon, after the winds died down, Aundrea (my niece/kid) and I loaded up for a putt putt ride on the RZR…but we were stopped by SandSnake…Quad ride instead. I geared up as fast as I could and hopped onto my quad…wait, I forget my gloves & goggles. Ran back to get them and fell down the stairs; leaving a painful bruise on my elbow…but at that moment I didn’t care – "we were going on a ride." We headed out for relaxing scenic ride. Wind, Wind, Wind ruined dinner. I tried to cook steaks wrapped in bacon & baked potatoes in the oven – YUCK! So, I headed over to CampIdiot’s dune home and watched them dance & sing along to county music – They appeared to be having tooooooooo much fun, so I decided to join the fun. Good Morning Sunday – "Kids Ride" – Here we go… 2 RZR’s, 2 dirt bikes, 3 quads headed to the North Pole. This ride was diffidently trial & error from; stalled bikes, RZR buried to the frame due to stopping on a side hill to assist one of the children (Marble MD to the rescue), one jumped a razor back dune (it appeared to be a clean jump, until boobs hit the bars), witches eye popped out of nowhere, quad buried, leg & toes ran over by RZR, ect. After all this excitement it only took about 2hrs to get from camp to the Nrth Pole with NO Injuries. Last Ride of the Weekend – After the kids ride, we headed back to camp and loaded everything. We are ready to head back to Vegas and Jodi said, "We are going on a GOOD ride" …. I asked my husband if he wanted to go – "Sure" – We unloaded and headed out…. I will keep this short and sweet – "HEART Pounding FUN" This ride was completed with the guys jumping and the girlz taking pictures. *MarbleMD has a video posted also with cute bubble effects* Thankx to everyone for a FUNtastic weekend. See ya next time.
  12. Thanks to Stacey, Cynthia(?) and Jodi Terry, You are welcome and really, this was an honor for me. BTW - I go by Christina. If you host "Clean Up" next I will be there at 0730 with coffee in hand to help you. ******To everyone else, thank you for all that participated****** and as soon as I get a chance I will post a thorough report including rides, fun, and interception of Sandsnakes T-shirt. Christina
  13. If we happens to get "W" (the w-word) - wear GOGGLES
  14. ~ hahaha ~ "No guarantees", If I lose you or can't keep up; you will be able to find me at the bottom of the dune or North Pole - LOL
  15. We will be there also. I will be joining Stacey assisting with the registration booth for Terry, but ... after ... Will you lead a "girly" quad ride?
  16. I seen the pics - hahaha - I missed a great "burb" ride ... I want in next dune trip ... and there will be plenty more. This was a great group!!!
  17. (MO’s – Missouri Crew / Military) Yea, Yea it’s Dumont time! I was so eager to get to Dumont, so I left Thursday night by myself. But before I could leave, I had water over flow issues. Marble MD to the rescue! I left the day before my husband & kid. Yep, I towed everything myself, I even stopped and got gas in the dark. On my arrival I found Becky, Dave, MO friends & their friends all settled in around the camp fire. Dave & a few friends assisted me with unloading the toys. Now it’s DUMONT TIME!!! I started the night with a bottle of homemade “cherry” wine, brought out by one of the MO’s. The wine went down my throat smooth with no bitterness. It was like gliding across a sand dune after a nice wind storm. Took a cruise over to comp-hill to show a couple Dumont Virgin’s around. One of the MO’s had a brand new, never on the sand XP. We took it up comp and when we shut the engine off the battery died. A nice guy (Brandon) jumped started it and we headed back to camp. The three minute ride back caused the muffler to light up like an orange glow stick. I’m not really sure what was wrong with it, but after driving over 24hrs to Dumont, I would be beside myself if my toy broke down the first night. The guys spent half the day on the phone with the dealer and messing with it – They got it fixed. J Good Morning Friday … Let’s go on a RZR ride! Becky and I took two of the MO girlz out for a ride. Becky led us to see comp. Up & Down a couple of times - WeeeeeeeeeeeWeeeeeeeeeee. My passenger (Dumont newbie) screaming “This is Awesome”, then we headed over to North Pole. We relaxed for a few minutes; the MO’s arrived on dirt bikes & quads, so we chatted for a few minutes. Off we went around North Road to camp. “It’s going to be a fun-static weekend” Later that afternoon Steve pulled up and asked; what do we had to offer? Good-Times and my kid will be making jalapeño poppers tomorrow night. Steve made his way around and settled in. When he unloaded his RZR, my eyes popped out of my head looking at his new cage. Beautiful black radius cage, bas a$$ speakers for great tunes, awesome doors … But later that day or the next (can’t remember its dune time), he came back to camp with a light bar on the top. His RZR looked complete! When asked who did the cage, he was eager to say H-TOWN. Not to mention they are friendly J that says a lot, I will have to keep them in mind for future toys. Also during this weekend H-TOWN had a booth at vendors where they repaired a few tires of other Duners in our group. It’s Friday night and everyone arrived safely J … 10 “campers” (aka-toy hauler, motorhome, toy box) all made for a great camp circle. Time for some Camp fire love songs, jokes, pranks, drinks and fun!!! Rise in shine Saturday morning. Capt friends arrived and they were shortly after. Here we go!!! As I sit here and think about how to describe this ride … I am lost for words and a little speechless … But I will try. We started out up over the finger dune, the flats and then; when he hit the accelerator and went from probably 10-20mph to God knows how fast in 2seconds, my head flew against the back of the seat, my hands trying to pull the harness tighter, I knew I better keep my hands inside at all times! At one point my knuckles where so white from holding on so tight. Awww, just when I thought we were going to stop … Nope … Here we go again … My fingers crossed, my heart pounding, thinking is my husband still behind us? (He was driving a RZR) … during my moment of thought, it was distracted by the razor back we just went over that sand blasted me… Dang, my goggles are even being filled with sand! Now, my eyes are closed and didn’t want to see what was coming. But when we hit a witch’s eye, my eyes popped out and there was no more closing them. –Hey, I see my husband, he caught up at somewhere along the way- Arrive, North Pole! J We headed back to camp for a fuel. Oh’ I almost forgot, if anyone finds a cotton black face mask – it might be mine. I flew out before I could react to reach for it! LMAO Second ride with Capt “THE JUMP”…. Not wearing a mask (lost it), my goggles are as tight as I can get them, head set covering my ears, seat built tight as I can get it, hands in . . . Not knowing it was coming until the last second . . . my mouth flew open, eyes wide open, all I seen was blue skies for a split second and then beautiful natural tan DUMONT sand while floating in the air!!!! Needless to say – I had sand for lunch! Thank you for an experience of a life time! Now that’s a “CORVETTE ON STERIODS” Back at camp…which I have not seen most of the day… we headed over to Vendor’s to do a little shopping. I enjoyed walking around with a Capt’s wife, their friend’s wife + the kids. After a long day … I decided to have a RoCkStAr (I cut back a few months ago) … It kept me awake enough to enjoy a few “cartwheels” at comp … But then I hear someone say “NIGHT RIDE” … Let’s do it! I won’t bore you with the first part of the ride. I am in the passenger seat with my husband following Paully… We started out nice and slow… and then, “The sailor mouth in me came out” … we hit some virgin sand, razor backs, slip & slide all over the place. We were following a RINO, and at times I swear it was going over. This is my second favorite night ride in ten years; it would be my first favorite. But I jumped out of a Ranger while it was moving because I was so scared! -Night duning is a sick mental “exciting” torture- After all my screaming at my husband to get me out of this thing … we arrived at the North Pole, where I jumped out so and sat on the ground… I was so scared on that ride, I begged my husband to take the flats back to comp! As I’m hearing “Oh’ we were only going 32mph, that’s when my governor kicks on” LMAO!!!! I swore a few months ago, I would never do night rides again! “I lied” Why go to DISNEYLAND, we just created our own ride? Thanks Paully for the free heart attack. Hello Sunday … final day … Steve and my husband headed out for a ride … They started out behind comp, I didn’t want to follow so I headed towards comp. I arrived just on time to watch them come over comp J and then I followed them around for a little while. They started taking the dunes that I don’t feel taking on the RZR…bad choice to get out of their line… I now was lost! GPS would have been nice. *just sayin’ I seen a sand car go by and I’m lost, so I followed it until I seen a row of approx 8 quads, I jumped into their line until I seen familiar Dunes. I made my way back to the flats and over to the Drag Races…Yep, I was about 20-30min behind Bill & Steve. After this much fun and such a great weekend – Bad News … Something is wrong with our generator! This made me moody and I took it out on a few people/friends that did not deserve it… I do owe a few people an apology and I will make sure I will do this privately when I see ya J But with every great adventure and if this is the only “drama” we had!!! “We have it better than we think” Our adventure was absolute amazing… We definitely made “Unforgettable Memories” with an M80, Dog pile on a tent, kids sliding, adult sand boarding, generator & pizzazz at the camp fire, diesel Short Bus, nice talk with Dunesmurf while waiting for my husband, Sincity_Blondie I missed the burb ride, but thank you for taking Drea with you to the drags… Memories -To be continue next trip… Thank you everyone for such a fabulous weekend… *no offense if you are on DDR and I do not know your screen name.*
  18. Stacey we should be out there this weekend. You are welcome to use our home to relax or just stop by for a drink.
  19. Reading your story breaks my heart. There is hope, read Stacey's post, true story. Hopefully whoever has Bobby takes care of him until he is returned home. *I will keep my eye's open and my ear's open to anyone that may mention finding a dog*
  20. Jodi your report is right on! I will just add a little to the weekend. Decisions, decisions, decisions … I thought about this all week … Well, Friday came and around 1600 hours sitting at my cubicle, I decided – “Let’s go to Dumont” My husband and I had everything locked & loaded by 1830hours. Bye, Bye Vegas!!! When we arrived at Jodi & Mike’s camp they had a few friends hanging out by the camp fire. We unloaded our toys and hung around the camp fire for a few. We started Saturday morning with - Wakey Wakey eggs and bacey!!! And then we headed out towards the North Pole to watch Mike’s son Justin ride his new toy. Super Cute! We made it back just in time for FOOTBALL. Oh’ yes, I paced back-n-forth for the Niner’s – and holy crap, 4:02 left on the clock – Alex Smith proved himself tremendously - The game kept me away from riding. After a great win by the 49ers, Mike turned on the Bronco’s game on the projector for Jodi. OUCH!!! OUCH!!! The game was so bad that I convinced Mike to get the UFC fight. That was so much more interesting! By the way thankx for getting the fight Good Morning Sunday. Joe Duner arrived at our camp to say he was going for a ride. I asked if I could take passenger. Such an awesome guy, he said, yes! I hopped on in and off we went. WHOOOHOOOO - weeeeeweeeee - oh' crap, transitioning on my side - fun fun fun... *It was very nice to meet you* We planned on heading home Sunday night but it was such a nice weekend we stayed another night. Monday morning we went for a ride – Two RZR’z and Two quads – we made our way to the North Pole and back to camp in an hour. The dunes were so soft and smooth it made for a great ride. … Oh’ snap I forgot to mention the funniest part about the morning …. Mike’s son Justin was playing on the hill, up and down all morning on his quad – and then … Mike and I at the same time seen Justin’s quad upside down on the dune. (My heart sank) … Mike screamed Justin’s name so loud (the fear in his voice was priceless - I knew it was a fear scream, but he sounded like a little biiiioooootttttcccchhhh) … As I headed towards the hill, I seen Justin walking around my truck with my husband…I tried telling Mike, “Justin is over here”, he was still running towards the quad. Here comes my husband completely calm, “Hey, Justin came and asked me to help him with is quad.” I asked Justin if he was okay, and he replied, “I forgot to put on my wrist strap.” (Meaning: engine, cut off lanyard)…. Once I realized everything was okay with Justin, I couldn’t stop laughing at how Mike screamed. Thanks to everyone for a relaxing weekend
  21. If you wake up in the morning and see my stuff camped next to you, don't wake me up with excitement! I may take over your TV on Saturday at 1335 hours!!! If everything goes right, we may be there late tonight. BTW - you are now considered a Spoiled BRAT - *just sayin'
  22. If I get my butt in gear, we will be there late Friday night till Monday ... I already made plans to camp with my girl-friend ... You are always welcome to come join us. Hope Mother Nature steps up and cleans the dunes ... New Years, the dunes were beat to crap - I think my quad needs new paddles and bolts! and my body needs a message - lol -
