As most of you know, I do freelance work for Sand Sports Magazine. In discussions with them, on several occasions, they have talked about changing up things, or for a better phrase, give themselves a makeover. The availability of online content has forced many publications to adapt but Sand Sports wants to do this in a smart way. They have on occasion tried to solicit feedback from people but it seems to not be effective in getting any good responses. I told them I would give it a try here. Most of you already know me and I've been on here for some time since I'm a "Dumont is home" guy so I thought I might get a response. All I ask is please be honest and if you have a criticism, please be constructive. Your thoughts may have an impact! If you have questions, I may not have all the answers but have their ear and can ask. Thank you and look forward to your responses. I will share with them but will leave out names. Do you subscribe to Sand Sports? If not, why? What type of content would you like to see? Any current content you don't like? Any current content you want more of?

Thanks! It came out pretty good. Little hard to read on the first page for me, black text on dark sand. Maybe I'm getting old, lol. The group shot looks cool over the two pages. It's always a surprise to me what photos get used and the layout since I always submit more photos then they could use for an article. I have a great relationship with Sand Sports and it's pretty cool when Dumont duners get some exposure.

Sandrail MX Done Right!

Go to an RV store. They make stuff just for this task. You mix like epoxy and use it as a putty till it hardens. The repair I did on my tank was 13 years ago. Still solid.

It was pretty cool to this massive hoard of buggys roll up by the FSA race and Pete yell out to me "Is this a good time?" It was fun to get the group photo and I'll make it available for everyone once I get done with them all. As you guys were leaving, I managed to get some pretty good shots of most of you. I also did a little night stuff around camp. It was good to meet some new folks and see some I haven't seen in a while. This shot I grabbed from my Facebook. It was a handheld three exposure merged into one. I also took this the normal way but it's the only one I have at the moment.

I used the term "event" loosely. A bunch of friends getting together for a weekend of buggy runs on an off weekend is more accurate.

The more I think about it, this event might make a good article for Sand Sports. If there is interest, and you guys want to make a few passes by my camera, we can do it.

I'll be there by the FSA races but can do photos if you want. Swing by and wave me down. I'll have my equipment to do night action if anyone is interested. I won't have my buggy, just the white Xterra. I'm always looking for stuff for the readers showcase section of the magazine also.

They are a pretty good group. If you want to see the best in four stroke tech, this is the place to be. Some of the turbo bikes are amazing. They also have SxS classes. Those are pretty cool also. I'll be out there.
