  1. Looks nice. That style of car is limited in travel which limits your speed over the whoops. You will have fun though. The suspension style has been around for some time and works well. Much better than the same car with swing axle. My only concern is the upper shock mount. That is where all the bottom outs will transmit force. I don't see any gusseting in the pic. I'm no expert though, just seen things over the years. I also like coil over shocks better. Those air shocks will work but if they leak, the car squats at rest. I do like the Rhino case on that T1 trans. I would also check to see if the shifter assembly sticking out the back doesn't extend passed the tires. Don't want to drag it if you wheelie over a lip on power. Just my 2 cents. Back in the day, that was a high end setup.
  2. The one oil press switch is for the idiot light only. That much I'm sure. I also know for sure a VTEC problem, (solenoid or press switch) and crank sensor problem will limit you to 3000 rpms (Been there, done that). Having seen your issue, I'm still stumped. I know of no sensor that would do that. Brandon who goes by Kraut n Rice on Glamis dunes is an expert on the Honda motors. He was a tech on them for years and does the computer mods and harnesses. I've called him several times during my build and he has been spot on so far. I have his number if you want it. Your engine should rev out way more than it does.
  3. The part about both feet flat on the floorboard was amended out in a later bill.
  4. Haha, you seem to have had a few visits/contacts from "The Man" over the years. Your high profile!
  5. Yes, Paragraph before the one I posted. I only posted what I did since it answered the question everyone seemed to be asking. I think it's dumb but I didn't write it. Its only been there a couple of years so it's fairly new law. As far as I have read on forums, they have only been picky about front lights and some rear lights (not tail lights) but as I read it, whips could be included since the law doesn't give any leeway on that. I don't have this problem on my car and since I'm not an LED whip guy, I won't be testing that with law enforcement. § 38335. Headlamps When operated from one-half hour after sunset to one-half hour before sunrise, each motor vehicle shall be equipped with at least one lighted white headlamp directed toward the front of the vehicle. Such lamp shall be of an intensity sufficient to reveal persons and vehicles at a distance of at least 200 feet. § 38345. Taillamps When operated from one-half hour after sunset to one-half hour before sunrise, each motor vehicle which is not in combination with any other vehicle shall be equipped with at least one lighted red taillamp which shall be clearly visible from the rear. (a) Every such vehicle or vehicles at the end of a combination of vehicles shall be equipped with one lighted red taillamp when operated from one-half hour after sunset to one-half hour before sunrise.
  6. Here is the relevant law. Sounds like they have been starting to enforce it. Vehicle Code California Off-Highway Motor Page 120 Vehicle Laws 2014 § 38346. Prohibition: Red or Blue Warning Lights A person shall not display a flashing or steady burning red or blue warning light on an off-highway motor vehicle except as permitted by Section 21055 or when an extreme hazard exists.

  12. I think your right! It's an awesome mag. I might be a little biased though.
  13. It clamps to the roll cage, that's pretty much all I know at the moment. I've seen some pictures but they didn't have the mounts on them. I don't think you get to keep it. Anyone I use for this will be payed by me for their time. It's just things got fluid after I originally made this post so I'm kinda on hold for the moment. I've done work for this company before with UTV's and it went pretty smooth once everything firmed up. They make nice stuff. The sound system from the last shoot I did with them was pretty badass.
  14. Thanks for replying guys. The customer is having issues right now so this probably won't happen on the 9th. I'm waiting on more information and if they still need rails, I'll ask here. The Item they want to mount on a rail is a prototype system and hasn't shipped to them yet.
  15. I need two sandrails for a photoshoot in Las Vegas. This is for an audio company. Basically, best info I have at the moment is they will mount some speaker system to the car for the shoot. This will be over the weekend of Jan 9th. Initial location will be a hotel and then a local scenic location. I have a small budget for this but basically your car will be part of a larger ad campaign. I'm hoping to get more info as we get closer. Looking for a long travel car, more modern with body panels. No old school beam cars. If your interested, PM me. Thanks, Neal

  18. I'll be out Saturday. I'm looking to get some photos of anyone interested to use in Sand Sports Magazine. Some family stuff is going to keep me out of the dunes for a little while so I want to be able to fill some content. My rail is broke so I'll have a Rhino But, I can get to the good photo spots!
  19. I'll be out on Thanksgiving day through the weekend. The sandrail is down right now so it looks like I'll be duneing the Rhino.
