:black: I wanted to take my rail to Dave at the buggy place here in Henderson to listen to my motor. Unfortunately he is out of town on personal business. Does anyone know of someone in Henderson or close that might be able to listen to this motor and tell me if is OK to take to Dumont on Turkey day. I'm not used to this motor yet and it has a noise that may be nothing or something that needs to be corrected. Any help would be appreciated.

If this doesn't work out I may trailer it to town and see if Butches will listen to it for me. Would like to avoid that if possible. :booty::lol::lol::beercheers::censored: :kitty:

Thanks,

:broke: Guy!

Get ahold of 1320. He seems to have all of the answers. He will even be able to tell you how dangerous your new car is. Motor diagnosis and safety check up.

thanks dog,

The long time mechanic and regular at Dumont says to adjust the valves a little tighter and drive it like you stole it. I 'm putting in the ear plugs and drivin it.....damnit!!!:lol::think::lol:

Now all I need is a truck bed stretcher.

Got the Rhino in there today but the rear wheels will sit on the rear bumper. Any one know how much weight that bumper will take. I already have the 26' toy hauler on the end of the truck. I even took off hte frount bumper to get 4 more inches.....Never mind a comment on that one  I could put a 4-12 on there for the wheels to rest on but it would be a b*tch if the buper collapsed!!! then the rear of the Rhino really hangs out there and I don't think it will clear the propane tanks if I turn. Sh*t, Sh*t :black: :black:  Hate like hell to leave the Rhino home!!!

I know, I needed to buy a long bed in the first place.....Save it!!! :dope:

On the VW motor, I used to set mine all at .004 intake and exhaust.

Firing order is 1-4-3-2

You can check them yourself. Not too difficult to set either once you get the hang of it. :black:

On the loading issue......

Lets say I'll just meet you out there when I go. deal?

I have 4wd, but I can't clear a bumper, rhino and,or what ever else might be falling off dat chit. :flipoff:

Good luck all across the board Dawg.

Be careful and let us know how your trip goes.:clap::mc::mc:

I've set them to .006, .004 and now he said go to .002. It's so much fun to do the valves. thanks for the info. :black:

Well we can put this post to rest. I have the new rail sounding like a r egular VW now. I reset the valves to .002, pulled out the rush rids and blew them out, turned them around and put it back together. Started it and the noise was there still but when it warmed up it sounds just fine now. Now just a good tune up with a new cap and rotor and points and condensor and we're ready to go!!! :beercheers::lol::usa::clap::clap::hello::hello: :moon: :laughoff::lol::old::thumb::usa:
