WOW! Seriously!?! Stupid sh*t?

Have a nice day being raped and robbed while waiting for the law to come to your aid. What's the average response time around the nation? Probably a whole lot longer than brandishing your family protection and scaring said a$$hat away.

But whatever bro, you protect your family how you see fit and I'll do likewise. Defensive weapons training and lots of practice have kept many women, and men, alive to see another day.

Crime is going up as the economy and jobs keep heading down and I've yet to see a mass hiring at any police departments to keep up with the pace of crime rising.

"BIG AZZ GUNS", nor the little ones, are stupid sh*t, unless of course you lived in a country where you were allowed to own them for self protection and didn't and someone near and dear to you was harmed because of this frame of mind.

Let me clear this up...

What I was trying to say is having High Power firearms for home protection sometimes does not work out so well, The round can go through your house and into the next hitting someone else... I have seen people with AR-15's and Ak-47's next to their front door for "Home Security". How much over kill power do you really need...

Give that High Power S*#T a rest.. Theres to many fake Rambo's out there who think they can take on the whole world until it comes down to it than they fine out they are not about S*#T and usually become the victim.

Just my 2 cents on what I think would work for protecting yourself at the front door. Not everybody has military training, I was thinking more along the lines of the Wife/Girlfriend/Teens home alone when someone trys to break in... Having some kind of weapon like a Taser/Pepper Spray/Mace/Bat at the ready for those who are not trained would be to their benefit over a Machine Gun or Hand Cannon that could be taken away during the fight than where are you at ??

I know first hand what it is like to take on an armed suspect... Iv fought a few people who were armed while Iv been on duty... NOT GOOD. I have also responded to a failed home invasion in the past where the suspect needed IMMEDIATE MEDICAL AID....

You are right on police response times... Its just not gunna happen in time, Your on your own, however using your head and having a solid plan you may survive a break in.. If you can get them from comming in than great.. Get em out and get the cops... If they really want to get in the S*#T and invade your home than you need to stop the threat anyway you can even if it takes sending that DirtBag to hell where he belongs! :D

:ahhhhh:

I don't think anyone here would seriously recommend an AK-47 or an AR-15 for self preservation within the home, however the handgun choices are seemingly endless, and do not take Military training to teach a wife/girlfriend/child to properly use them in the absence of the man of the house.

A well placed Federal HydraShok is going to hit nothing but said a$$hat, no walls, no innocent bystanders, no family pets, just the dirtbag. And they come in many calibers that any female/child would be able to handle.

I'll post this for the education of all and leave my argument there. Some folks believe Obama will save us all, others are preparing for the zombies. I fall somewhere in the middle myself.

A MUST read for those inclined to make the bad guys wake up dead.

Its definately scarey out there these days when you cant feel safe in your own home. I used to love having my windows open downstairs, but dont feel to safe doing that anymore. I dont own guns, but I will def be putting my bat by the front door. I dont typically open my door if im home alone. I am going to post some signs beware of dog hopefully for a deterant. I also have signs up for my alarm. Hopefully all that will help them move on.

A few months ago there was a home invasion right around the corner from my house. An elderly couple home early evening. A guy knocks on their door saying his ball went in their backyard. The elderly guy goes to open the door and another guy comes around the corner and they push their way into the house. They beat up the elderly couple and robbed them at gunpoint. Just this last weekend I saw the elderly couple moving out. So sad what this world is coming to.

Ive often thought about taking classes and getting a gun since im hope alone alot. Im always afraid it will get used against me however. :(

Again 4 legged organic home protection with teeth works very well.

I agree they usually give a suspicious punk a second thought before entering but have you ever watched it takes a thief on the discovery channel? I saw one where the couple said there house was protected by there dog but the two guys walked right on in with confidence like they owned the place and the dog didn't do a darn thing. It was surprising cause they really thought they had a good watch dog. I have a huge dog at my house but he makes a better throw rug than a guard dog. Anyone who doesn't know him would think he would kill you on command because he is so big and vicious looking but he is a wimp. My other dog who is only about 45 or 50 pounds is my real watch dog and even she wouldn't take much to scare off. Maybe dog guard training would have been a good thing to invest in.

My dogs are great with the family but I have 2 dogs now and a pup in training that don't care. I am very careful about bringing people on my property. When someone comes over the dogs go in the garage or the dog pen. If they do get past the dogs though they won't get out of the house.

i used to raise yorkies and they are the BEST guard dog there is! you mite be disappointed with your "vicious" guard dog pitbull, rottie, german shepherd.....but that yorkie (or any other little "yappie" dog)will let you know before the guy gets anywhere near your house that he's coming because they are small and pay attention to threats coming their way. big dogs have defences that don't require them to pay so much attention. i've owned both. just be mindful that there's a good chance you won't see them coming and they get the drop on you. my friend was H/I a few months ago(she moved out too btw). she was napping in the living room watching tv. guy sees her through opening in blinds, another guy goes through open bathroom window, by the time she hears fluttering blinds...wakes up to knife at throat. throws her on bed duct tapes her....asking where stuff is....where's the $$$$ bitc*.....she gets free while they're looking goes out back door to neighbor(naked)....never caught the SOB's. MIGHT have been different if she had a yapper. one thing i think should be done is leave a little stash of money(a few twenties or hundreds, depending on yer money situation) and just give them the money while the rest of the big money is safe somewhere else. btw...while this girl is telling me the story while i'm working, one of my customers tells me when i get off the phone he got H/I a few weeks ago too! almost beat him to DEATH! yaw daaaam rite it's gettin' dicey out there! be ready to scream like a little girl too if someone gets the drop on you.....if there's no noise they won't be worried if neighbors heard anything and can take their time beatin' the shi* outa yuh.

I did a test a few years ago to see what my doberman would do....had someone they didn't know walk right thru the front door and I think she would have tore him up if I hadn't got between them(ran at him like a bat outa hell, showin teeth and lookin crazy).....but just for good measure I got one more dobie and a little yappie dog to wake the big ones up. layers of security work best, they should hold em off long enough for me to chamber a round :B

pepper spray is great if the wind is not blowing it back in your face or if there is only one person and the same with a bat you can only swing once before the other person gets ahold of you so the only real defense out there is training and practice if you dont ever practice these situations then your brain dont know how to react that is why when people say my life just flased in front of me this means your brain is searching for a similar situation so like said in another post invest the money in some training like front site and practice then make the commitment and where your weapon at all times

Police Release Photos of Home Invasion and Robbery Suspects

LAS VEGAS -- For months, a group of people terrorized homeowners in the all parts of the Las Vegas valley. Five people have been arrested so far for the string of home invasions and robberies.

David Hayes, Sarah Cowen, Abdul Shakir, Jovan Carter and Leonard Hunt have all been charged with various crimes surrounding the robberies.

On Wednesday night, two of the five suspects were caught at an apartment complex near the Orleans Casino. Police were watching the pair as they burglarized an apartment.

Police say the victims and the homes were randomly targeted.

"Open windows always present a challenge. No animals in the yard," said Metro Lt. Clint Nichols. "People were accosted in the driveway putting groceries in the house. It's those routine things we do everyday they took advantage of."

Detectives say the group was responsible for 17 home invasions and robberies. They are still looking for more people involved in the crime ring, though they don't know how many more are out there.

Most of the incidents happened in the west side of town and some parts of Henderson.

They believe the criminal activity started as early as last November and police say this group may also be responsible for a string of unsolved burglaries.

Police found more than $20,000 worth of stolen items. It's now being sorted out so victims can claim them.

"We're talking about a massive amount of jewelry, a lot of big screen TV's, small electronic devices; iPods, cell phones, those type of items," said Nichols.

Police say there is still a lot more work to be done retrieving stolen items, finding others who are involved and sorting out the charges for those who have been arrested.

SORRY SOB'S, sad thing is they probably wont do much time, get away with a slap on the hand. At least they are off the street for now. Alot of people im sure feel alot safer.

It would be justice to find out where these azzhats live and take 4 or 5 guys and home invade them and beat them to within inches of death. If they do die so what. That could be considered as taking out the trash.
