Holiday weekend people count

For example...the big weekends like Thanksgiving and Pres Day.

How many people would you say are out there on a big weekend? 20,000, 50,000, 100,000????

There has to be a way to find out this info from maybe Western Maintenance or the BLM. Anyone know? :freakin_nuts:

I don't remember what holiday it was but I heard one of the rangers say there was 30,000 plus out there.

I dont knwo how BLM plans on counting its always just a big guesstimation of how many people are there in a weekend since so many people come and go during the weekend its hard to get a accurate count... IT would be cool to see actually HOW many people really do go out on a holiday weekend.. Maybe use one of those little deals that the city uses to measure traffic on a city street... it counts the car as you drive over it..

There is already one of those in place, and they count 2.5 people per vehicle

I believe the big weekends the rough numbers are about 25,000 people.
