Dakkar overall winner at Dumont with his MINI Cooper Countryman racecar

Jay Leno was riding with Nani Roma (Dakkar overall winner) at 1st then they switched seats, the best part was Leno describing, in his typical comedic style, his experience behind the wheel. Nani gave me a rundown on all the different things on the MINI like water cooled rear disc brake calipers. The cars reported cost estimates range from $850k - $1 million and is heavy at 3800lbs.

Pretty cool that they're in Dumont though. From what I've seen and heard, the dunes in SA are way more technical than anything here in the states.

Looks like a little ripper in the sand. Cool Shots. Jay Leno is a cool guy. I use to share the building next door to him in Burbank CA where he parts all of his cars. Seen his collection up to 2006. I am sure there are a few new ones now. Dont know the Dakar guy though.
