Just Mike
So I decided to take out the sandrail instead of the rzr this weekend to Dumont. It was a very tight fit to load the rail and the Ace up in the toy hauler but they fit. I was not disappointed. Although it was wet as could be out there I had a blast driving it. It took a couple runs to get used to driving it again but what a blast it was. We had more SXS in the group than sandrails so it made for some interesting and great rides. I can't wait to get out there again and tear some more sand up. Thanks to all that came out and braved the weather to make it a great trip
dunefreak
Looks like a fun time and group. Glad to see you still have the buggy. Let's hope those rutted dunes dry up over the next 2 weeks.

sand chick
It was a GREAT season opener! We have had a BLAST traveling around for the summer dune season, but it always feels great to be "home" at Dumont. We arrived Thursday evening a little later then expected, had a bit of a truck issue going up Potasi, but Mike got it fixed and off we went on our way again. We rolled in to an already roaring campfire, so quick unload and set up and off to kick back with drinks and friends! Love our new to us toy hauler, so easy to get set up, everything is already in its place for the most part. It started to rain on us, so quickly cover the toys and hang out under an awning to finish off the drinks and head to bed. Fell asleep to the rain on the roof of the toy hauler. Woke up in the morning, thinking that maybe we should have brought a boat Didn't matter to much, a rainy day at Dumont is still better then any day at work! But the rain finally stopped and we headed off for our first Dumont run. The sand was wet, but we had a blast shredding the sand and tearing it up laying fresh tracks. We spent the day riding between rain storms. The rain storms made for some incredible views. Low clouds, rainbows and lightening. The rest of our group rolled in almost exactly the same time Friday night. Woke up Saturday morning and it was really weird to see Dumont all socked in with low clouds, you could not see any of the surrounding mountains. But the sun came out and it ended up being a nice warm day. Saturday we had two mishaps. With one injury, broken arm, ride to UMC in an ambo, but thankfully every one walked away from both accidents. Can't thank all the people who helped out with both incidents enough. Duners helping duners! So appreciate it!! All in all it was a great weekend with great friends. And sorry everyone... we tore the F N S T outta those dunes! These guys were some of the awesome peeps who helped out one of our group that broke his arm! Thank you again guys! Dent boy
Looks like a great trip. Pretty good turnout. The wet sand is a blast. IF no one broke a trans it's a win. Can't wait to get out there.
