MaureenBS Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 Looking for "destination" trail rides we can take from Dumont. Have done Sperry wash many times, never found anything "interesting" to go to, though the ride is good. Any suggestions? Thanks! Quote
BusaBirth Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 (edited) We're also looking to venture out further into the canyon. When we find our way will let you know. Been looking at a couple of places. Edited October 18, 2017 by busabirth 1 Quote
ynot Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 The mine by the little dunes is always scenic and gives you an idea what it was like to mine the area many years ago. Quote
Crusty Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 More details please, how to locate the mine - thanks Quote

ynot Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 The mines are to the southeast of the Little Dunes. Here is the info from DDR. I have been over there on paddle tires before. Just take it slow and watch out for large rocks; Little Dunes Dumont Little Dunes GPS: 35°38'56.35"N / 116°17'34.49"W Also referred to as Little Dumont, the Little Dunes are located right off highway 127. These dunes are most frequented by families with kids. There are no big hills or dunes at Little Dumont. All the same rules as the main dune area apply over there as well. There is a trail that connects Little Dumont with the Big Dunes. It is fairly long and dirt tires are recommended. Quote
dunefreak Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Here's a little more info on the mines and how to get there. It's not a very long ride, but it is well worth it if you've never been. 2 Quote
jalper Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 What about a day ride to the Date Farm or the Brewery in Tecopa, is that possible or not really Quote

If I remember right it was a great post. 1 Quote
