WE PLAN TO BE IN DUMONT THIS HALLOWEEN FOR SURE FOR THE FIRST TIME I WAS ALSO PLANING TO BE OUT THERE LABOR DAY WEEKEND ANY THOUGHTS?

It won't be dune weather quite yet. It's still way too hot out there. Unless you are very experienced and know how to read the dunes well, I wouldn't advise it. You'll only be able to hit the dunes super early in the morning. The rest of the day will be crazy hot and no shadows.

Don't go, will be close to 110deg, there is some SOFT blow sand this time of year and the dunes are difficult to read especially due to the suns placement in the sky minimizing shadows. Weekend would be miserable at best for a first timer and possibly deadly.

100% agreed! Halloween is not the best time to "feel out" Dumont.

Halloween is super fun to watch the sh*t show. Don’t expect to do any fast crazy runs (not that you should, unless you know Dumont) 

tons of people on Halloween, it’s actually one of my favorite weekends. 
 

speaking of which I guess it’s time to put my car back together lol
