For all of you that have been to Glamis know they have the sand drags every afternoon on the weekends. How would we go about getting the same thing started at Dumont. It's one of my favorite things to watch and would add to the excitement. So, where would be the best place, and how do we get it going? I was thinking about the area to the far south of the big dunes.

I totally understand, I have been into this sport for some time now. I was only refering to a direct quote of using cheaper parts. I personally would only go with a top ten builder......Sandcars Unlimited, Funco, Tatum, Extreme Performance, Alumicraft, ETC......that's just my personal choice though. So, here is the quote I was refering to..........

1.75 tubing probably costs $1000 more, spindles I don't know, grade 12 bolt don't matter, CNC turn brake costs no more that jamar and isn't any better, hanging brakes are how much more?, Howe power steering over charlynn is probably $1000 more, you run 934 micros and I think the midboards he has are more expensive, they have skid plate too, 5 buckets cost $250 more, he has crow harnesses as well, fuel tank is $500 more, paddles are maybe $200 more, 4 piston brakes are $300 more and engine is $800 more. For a grand total of $4000............ Now he has Bypass shocks all four corners another $500, front beadlocks $200, they have wing trunk $500, full floor tunnels and roof $600, midboard hubs $1000 more, chrome front suspension, and candy powder upgrade $1000 for a total of $3800 more. So you have $200 more in parts and are $11,500 more................I guess the deal would be swings towards them......Just my opinion though. This is very easy way to voice your opinion to our governor regarding what our kids are taught in school. You don’t even talk to anyone. It’s just a recording that you respond to by pushing the number of your choice. The situation is this: Bill SB 1437, was passed and sent to the governor. It requires all textbooks to be rewritten and reissued at a cost that our school system, not to mention taxpayers, can little afford. They will indoctrinate schoolchildren with a homosexual agenda. The bill requires that all new textbooks (K-12) highlight homosexuals and eliminate all references to "mom" and "dad." Instead, they could be referred to as "sperm donors" and "sperm receivers." This bill is ridiculous, it is expensive and it singles out a small, special interest group. We do not need elementary school children exposed to this nonsense. Can you imagine: School proms (Prom "kings" and "queens" could not be gender-specific) Gender-specific sports ("Boys Basketball" would be "discriminatory" against transsexuals) Cheerleading (Can you say "transsexual cheerleaders"?) We did about 18 trips last year. Hopefully Tim and Don will still be up for all the trips. And if Steve gets a car, I know he will be up for it!!!
