  1. I vote the Draft House. Count 2 more of us in if it is.
  2. That was a GOOD day trip! Weather was tolerable, smooth as glass dunes, couple good runs (for me at least), and a lot of good laughs! Will definitely try and make some future day trips with you guys! Too bad Scott's Honda didn't hold up. He'll get it up & running before long. Getting up at 2am really wore me out by the time we got home. Turned my lights out at 7:30 that night. Looking forward to the next one we can make.
  3. Count 2 more of us in. Talked a buddy into this day trip, we'll be there. Got room for 1 more on the trailer if someone up here in the NW Vegas area wants to meet up in the wee hrs of Sun. morning. BTW, is everyone meeting at D, or meeting somewhere else then heading to D?
  4. I'll try disconnecting the Onstar module thingy. I've also removed the radio fuse in the under-hood fuse compartment for a full day, and that didn't work. I suppose I can re-program the steering wheel controls, if I could remember what I did with the instructions, lol. I just need to find the time. Thanks for the input.
  5. I've tried this already, and nothing. I held both sets of cables together for 5 min, and that didn't work. I'm at a loss. The stereo works fine, I just have to remember to turn it off otherwise I'll be buying new batteries again. The steering wheel controls on the other hand, is another story.
  6. Please forgive me if this post gets a little to long. Gonna try & give some key info to try & get some help. Long story short...I was on vacation in another state, and had a no-start issue. Was able to get a jump start from a friend. Went to the local Autozone & had them check the batteries. They determined that (1) battery was bad. Well, thinking the other was soon to follow, I replaced both. Then the new problems start. Got back to my original destination, and upon shutting off the truck and opening the door, the radio continued to stay on. Investigated a bit further, and most of my steering wheel controls are jumbled. Also noticed I lost my door chimes, and can hear engine idle through the speakers. I know the radio stays on for a handful of minutes after you turn off the vehicle, but with the key off & doors open? I can turn on/off the radio without a key in the ignition. Wasn't like this before. Now for some vehicle info: '06 Chevy Silverado LBZ DMAX Aftermarket Alpine stereo GM Onstar GMOS module PAC SWI-Jack I've narrowed it down to the problem possibly being the GMOS module, and I say that because the problems all involve the stereo. I'm hoping someone may have had a similar problem, and can offer some help, thanks!
  7. This is a score! They don't seem to have the Pocket door sliding track clips though. Gonna have to keep searching...
  8. Ok, thanks for the tips guys. I'll check Johnny Walker's & Camping World.
  9. The clip on the outside is a cheap plastic part, the one for the pocket door is a clip that slides in a track. The door just hangs from 2 clips, and slides in a track above it.
  10. Hauler is an '06 Weekend Warrior. Anyone know where someone could get the clips to hold the outside compartment doors in the open position? Also in need of the mounting clips for the sliding pocket doors. Got (1) of each broken, and it's causing me some grief. Any help would be much appreciated.
  11. Exactly. I'm going to make it a habit to start it up around the 1st of the month, and run it for about an hour under load to try & prevent this from happening again.
  12. Well, it turns out it needed a new carb. Seems to be a common problem with these generators. Runs like a champ now. Thanks for all the help everyone!
  13. Well, I removed the mixture control solenoid under the float bowl today. It's not stuck, still has it's "plunging action". Next I'll probably try the C4, along with a new fuel filter and see if that helps.
  14. lol, isn't C4 an explosive? Where can I get the 4C? Never heard of it before. Dunefreak-I know of the part you're speaking of. I'll give that a shot, weather permitting. Thanks guys.
  15. So my Onan Marquis Gold 5500w generator was giving me a hard time to start. Ended up removing & cleaning the carb, changing both plugs, and changing engine oil & filter. Got it running, except now it surges with or without a load. The throttle lever/choke arm jumps with each surge. No codes flash. Just want to get this thing to idle properly. Anyone have a similar problem? Any ideas? Thanks for any help.
  16. Congrats on the restoration, I'm sure the car will keep a smile on your face while you "drive" it! It turned out absolutely beautiful!
  17. Congrats! You guys are famous! I saw the article in the LVRJ's business section this morning. I hope the dealership gave you guys more than just those t-shirts to show their appreciation.
  18. Nice truck you got there! Now you've just got to get some tow mirrors to complete it.
  19. That's what I'm finding out. Trying like hell to avoid it! Darn thing seems to be around $600 or so!
  20. Got a damaged window frame on a Vortex hauler. The part that's damaged is the exterior vertical piece (where the window would lock on the inside, but it's the exterior piece) and it needs to be replaced. The rest of the window frame & glass are just fine, it's just the center vertical frame piece thingy that's damaged to the point that the window can't be locked, and it's partially open to weather. Anybody have any ideas on where to get parts, or a relatively affordable fix without replacing the ENTIRE WINDOW???
  21. I put up some chicken wire type stuff under the roof eaves where these nasty birds like to hang out, works great! Another thing you can do is put a strip of wood with nails exposed, they do not like that either. Last one I've got is to spread a vaseline type substance (don't know exactly what to use) where they congregate...they don't like that stuff on their lil pigeon toes. Good luck!
  22. We happened to be parked broadside to the wind as well, and WOW! It was nasty out there. Almost felt like tying down the hauler, for fear it was gonna blow over. I was sure the wind was going to expose a couple stabilizer jacks. Well said on the wet sand under the dry stuff. Made for some rough riding for sure.
  23. I think I seen that truck at the clean up lunch/raffle. Looks BAD ARSE!
  24. Congrats on the catch, that's freakin' awesome! Where did this take place anyways?
  25. On Saturday, one of the haulers in the camp next to ours decided to dump their grey tank, and after confronting them I got P'oD enough to go find a Ranger, but found a San Bernadino Sheriff's Officer in the rail they ride around in and asked about dumping your grey water. The officer said it was ok to dump fresh & grey, just not your black tank. Had no idea that was ok.
