comp hill seemed to have a lot less trash than last year when I went out on sat. morning (7 a.m.) and on sun. morning same time there was very little I was surprised :freakin_nuts:

We got home last night about 11:30 after the longest trip home ever :rant_on: had a blow out on the trailer about 8 miles from Baker so that started the trip home off the wrong way But had a few friends close behind that stopped and helped me out. We got to the dunes on tuesday afternoon the entrance was the worst I have seen in a long time but leaving it was nice. The dunes were great for the first day so a lot of seemed like there were more people camping out towards the lil dunes ( between vendor row and lil dunes) than I have ever seen. Had fun giving lil peeps rides that had never seen the dunes but compared to previous T- DAY trips it seemed like half the crowd I know this is :freakin_nuts: but what was up with and guys in very little clothing :ah: Other than that comp seemed rather melow the 3 nites I went out there seemed everyone called it early compared to last year On sunday afternoon I had seen a rhino flip on its side by #8 went and helped them flip it back on all 4 seemed that they were ok I hope they were the lil guy seemed more shooken up rather than hurt hope they are ok

We bought our $40.00 holiday pass at Valero (west side by Denny's) on Monday (11/24) night about 9pm and they had a HUGE stack of them behind the counter. The girl said they weren't numbered so they had no way to count how many they sold. I didn't ask about the annual passes. Sandqueen P.S. Just an f.y.i they had the annual passes for sale at the sand show in Costa Mesa in September I think we paid $110 or $120 don't quite remember.

Sounds like some killer with a little dust. Don't know if you were there about 3 years ago same weather and one of my best trips ever!

That Really sucks I use to live bout 30 mile from there (Gilroy) but at that timedidnt have any toys so was hoping to go there this summer thanks for the new info

Yeah I know what you mean about virgin sand and comp :beer_bang: I the same qd and 5th gear down the hill is Sounds like a great trip was there on tues. nite after mlk at that place Its like a complete different pl than on big weekend

yeah just ride the trail along the wash like your going out to the mines and about 2 miles or less there will be a sign telling you how far to mines and how far to the date farm its a cool ride about 1.5 hrs. one way on quad taking it easy :freakin_nuts:

the car actually not to bad as for the drive train other than previous problem now add the whole front end and the wing but thats it

Oh sorry forgot that part .Why would a sand car builder use such a thin tubing for the frame? So I guess it would be more of a question as what thickness of tubing for the frame would be sufficient for v78 rails cuz this tubing ripped like a pepsi can next to the welds. The car is Mike 156 old blue car

Imagine this driving home on thurs night after making it over the Cajon pass while smowing w/trailer never done this but no prob snow plus stupid drivers made it down to normal conditions rain then CRuising along and see this car come on to freeway clip front of your best friend/brother that is in front of you with truck and trailer w/sandcar (Mike156 old blue rail) then bounces off wall back into truck again causing my bro to loose controll of truck and hit the wall head on and trailer flip and your coming up on himat 55 with no more than 50 yards infront of you knowing your gonna hit him and manage not to at this poinT I pull over and after seeing this happen with his lil brOTHeR witnessing the same w/ me We run over thinking the worst ( dead or badly injured ) there they are (2 brothers) standing next to the truck aand I was like WTF there is no way that you walked away but they did,I had to give both a big hug just to make sure that they werent ghost and Iwasmt trippin .As for the girl in the lil white that drove Away in her car said oops sorry it was my fault It is true YOU CANT FIX STUPID ! Now I ASK MYSelf why doooesnt DMV at least give a common sense test or something similar because this stupid young female thought it was ok to enter a freeway on ramp at 60 in rain @ the 60 and 57 interchane with traffic sorry no picks my wife already posted some, sorry for all the but still a bit shaken up

Wow !! Dumont with only one other camper there other than the host is is a lot of :kart: and more with none of makes for a great guys onlt trip Well got home from dumont last night after a long and terrible trip home.Got there on tues night no wind but really cold did a lil till bout 6 am got a little sleep wed. had a couple runs in the rail ,then helped a fellow duner out flipping his car back over by the north pole car started then we were off. wed. and thurs. both great wheather no wind but VERY HARD TO REaD THE dunes..wed. night crazy wind and rain but great in a.m. I will most definately do the week days again only bad part of the dune trip is I managed to rip the frame of car where the trailing arms mount Has any body else had this w/ a SAnd Candy Car?Well Iwill post the end of the trip w/another topic such as STUPID drivers in rain!!
