wind did die down this morning. but picked back up. no reason to stay at home though. it is sweet out here. the tracks i laid down this morning are already covered up.

i am in a 40 ft cyclone pete. you shouldnt miss it. ok, the wind did die down for a bit this morning. right when i thought we were cool, whamo!! the wind is back good and strong. the tracks i laid down this morning are already gone. other then that, still fighting with the battery. bad wind and all. this place rocks!!!!!

yeh it is blowing pretty hard. its seems to be calming down a bit since i got here.

made it to Dumont. road is in way better condition then a couple weeks ago. i still did about 10 mph, but i can see some of you being able to do the speedlimit. river crossing totally fixed. the wind is blowing like crazy. getting sandblasted standing outside, so i am gonna snuggle up to the tv. there is already a bunch of people out here. the camp next to us has already at least 8 rigs. and a bunch of other camps starting up. had my first break.....my battery is shot. seems my guy at the shop sold me a bad battery. waiting for the battery delivery service, or might have to run somewheres. ok thats it for now. i will check back in later. cool pics. i was out at Dumont last year at the begining of the season and just about the same thing happened to me. bunch of rigs pulled in, cam setups and the works. silly me joked around to the crew i was with and said i am gonna take the rail and drive circles around the shoot. needless to say i didnt. come to find out later, it was one of my favorite big bootied babes, Jennifer Lopez was filming something out there. pissed me off that i didnt crash that party. thanks again for the report.

was there a drop off at the end of the slab? there was a drop off there a couple weeks back. when i went off the end with my toyhauler, the a$$ end would have dragged if i didnt have the casters on the back. bob had his "window licker" pulling his friend buggy out there. and his trailer dragged off the end too. and since my casters decided to break on the way back from the last trip. cant rely on them this time.

Well if thats the case you can definitely count me in. Plans are set! Going to arrive late Friday night most likely.

only a half day on thursday, and friday off for the lil one this week. so was gonna try and make a long weekend. might end up going for the opener. just hope they get some dirt in those trenches. i can take the washboard road, but not the dropoff at the end.

I was going to head out next weekend. but it seems like i wont be able to make the river crossing unless i bring my own load of dirt.

they need a load of dirt for the end of that bridge also......that was rough!

yep looks like the route i will be heading. some guy was camping at Calico with a setup like that and my bells and whistles went off in my head.
