Seeing as though my buggy might not make it back out this season, (maybe it will, who knows at this point) I plan on doing a couple of quad-only, simple trips before the end of the season is over. Any other riders interested in getting together like we did for the buggy roundup? It would be fun to hook up with a bunch of other riders, do a group camp and run the dunes all weekend on the bikes. Let me know if you're in and then we can start to figure out a date. I'm thinking sometime in Feb.

Same thing happened to me with one of mine. They couldn't identify the date so they said no way. New tanks are about $90 each from Johnny Walker RV. The gas station/ propane guy said you can exchange them. My question is where.

The Dakar has claimed a Honda rider in stage 5 as well as 2 journalists that plunged off a cliff following the race. From RDC... Tragic news from Stage 5 of ‪‎Dakar2014‬. Earlier this morning, Belgium bike competitor Eric Palante was found dead at km143 along the fifth stage of the rally. The 50-year-old motorcycle rider was competing in his 11th Dakar. As of now, the organizers have said that the cause of his death is under investigation. Highly doubt it. MLK day is Jan 20th. MLK weekend is 17-20th.

They are filming a film called The Uberkanone. I had the picture of the plane up here as well but the executive producer emailed me and kindly asked I remove it at least until they run their publicity campaign. Their props are apparently a big secret for now. She told me she'd send me links and images as the filming progresses. She was really nice although NE14SAND had a different experience with the crew out there when he stopped to take a couple pics from a distance. They wanted the pix deleted immediately and tried to grab his camera or phone when he didn't do so right away.

Villopoto would have won it had he not fallen over in that corner. I still think he'll dominate this season. I actually thought Bubba was going to pass Roczen. He was looking good but then his signature move (crash) took him out. He should have just stayed focused for another lap and he would have had it. Oh well. Pretty nice to see 1) KTM 2) KTM at the top of the race results.
