It was one HELLUVA weekend for sure!!! I'd like to thank everyone who came out and was involved! You guys all made the 1st annual 70cc regatta at Dumont a very successful and memorable one for sure. All of the events went very smoothly and were a ton of fun. A quick recap of how the day went Saturday: -A couple crazy group races in the morning. Those were utter chaos! -Then "best of 3" time trial laps for each guy. -Wheelie contast. Alex won- man he can hold those wheelies forever! Bert was disqaulified because he had 4 wheels. lol -Then everyoine grubbed on the great BBQ by Smokin Als Al and the whole crew- I can't thank you enough! -After lunch, it was the cruise to vendor row. HOLY CRAP was that badass. I left camp in the front of the group and turned around to see if everyone was leaving and there was this HUGE crowd of :atc: leaving camp. It looked badass! We definitley made our presence known at vendors row. Sandcrazd & Loose Screws both commented on how badass that looked. Then we did a few photos and headed back to camp. -AFter getting back to camp- it was time for the atc drags. I was killin everyone with my bone stock 70 until 702LTR450 and Tyler waxed me with their 125cc 70's. Those things ripped! -Once all the "competitive" events were over, we voted on all the atc's. Beer cans were used to mark everyone's vote. -Then it was time to dune and do whateva! Good times. Again, thanks to ALL that made this happen. Especially Sandcrazd for doin us up some badass shirts and Smokin Als for the very good lunch and dinner! Cole, you deserve a huge pat on the back for running the mic all day. You kept it going great and made it feel like we were out at the real track. I'm already looking forward to the 2nd annual 70cc regatta. I don't even think we could change much to make next year's any better...other than even more atc's showing up. GOOD times guys. I'll get the pics up soon as well as the time's for best laps and the overall winners.

I'll stick to drunken cookie poker. :headbang1: ALWAYS a good time.

Mike, part of the reason we are having this regatta is to get everyone from DDR together. Like mineurbiz said- it's one big camp bud! Just pull up and park mang. cool cool, let's hope we can at least make it work and half azz stick to it you know it
-
ok cool, no prob mang. I'm hella stoked. The 70's, the rail, the truck, the hauler...all cleaned up and ready yo! YIAH I might bail outta work early tomorrow and get out there early. We'll see. It would be nice to get a jump start on setting up so I have even more dune time.

ok somewhat change plans with the tenative schedule. Instead of doing the pulled pork & tri-tip for dinner time, Al is going to be cooking that for lunch then doing maybe some ribs later on around dinnertime. SO... Friday (all day) Track setup practice runs test & tune dune drink beer Saturday morning & day time -in-camp race track event, timed laps or group race to see who is the "track dominator" -lunch by Smokin Al's BBQ (~1PM) BBQ pulled pork & tri-tip sandwiches -after lunch...a quick 70cc group run to vendors row for a photo op -back to camp for the 70 drag races to see who is the fastest 70 drag racer -wheelie contest evening/after party -some more BBQ from Smokin Als -cake, festivities, and contest/ vote for most unique, cleanest, and ugliest 70 -winner announcements & trophy awards (only for the Honda 70's) -"track dominator" -"longest wheelie" -"fastest drag racer" -"most unique 70" -"cleanest 70" -"ugliest 70" -open track: the free for all nighttime track races & ATC jousting. The reason there is any kind of schedule is becasue I have trophies for the winners for each of these events. :atc: I'm guessing we'll get started about 9 or 10 Sat AM at the latest.

good looking out, Nick. Way to step up and help.
-
nice edit jackass. lol If you leave on Sunday you will probably run right into that mess.
-
holy 70 parts! Can't wait to see how they turn out.
-
at 6 which day? Steve you are welcome to stay w/ us if you wanna make it a longer trip.

Leave the orange alone!

Actually the sandboni takes up no room at all. It fits flat in the bed of my truck and just acts as a thicker bed liner (since thats what it is). No on the new hauler. My hauler fits 2 quads and my rail just fine plus I still have the space in my truck bed for the 70's, but I still have an 80 and a 4WD Grizzly to get out there. Anna is gonna be driving out on Friday though with our Z71 so that takes care of the Grizz. I'll probably have Bert bring the 80 out. Like I said, I'll figure it out.
-
I will have a few extra carb parts on hand, but not a new kit.
-
and where do I get one of those before the weekend? All MY chit fits just fine...it's everyone elses chit that doesn't!
-
Don't worry Mike. There should be enough shirts to go around.
-
ahh dammit, but congrats, Eddy! Sucks you can't make it. Was looking forwad to finally meetin ya. Cool As long as you can still be our stop-watch man. I'm bringing my buggy too, Mike. (There is always time to dune ) Actually...I'm bringing my buggy, my Raptor, my Grizzly, Steveo's 450 and two 70's, oh wait plus OGP's LT80 that he's buying off rhino king. I'll figure how to get it all there somehow.
