Nope, we have literally grabbed an ATV whip/flag off a Quad, zip tied it to the rear bed post (Whatever the hole is named) and were good to go. Drive slow and careful, nothing worse then breaking down your tow rig that gets you back home.

Excellent visual Pete. Correct, the only laws for kids to ride quads are ability to reach and operate all controls and be directly supervised by an adult (Kid or Adult must have taken the AT Safety course). As long as the kid can reach the foot pegs and hand controls with ease...no issues. The ATV Safety Cert, they don't check for often unless they see your kid zipping round and no parent in sight, that's when they will roll up and start giving tickets. Watching your kid ride around camp from inside the trailer or motorhome doesn't count...LOL

Correct, you can take out the two individual seats and place a bench......but having a third person in the middle where the mfg did not have a seat before...against law on 2014 or newer models.

If it is a model 2013 or Older....you are ok. Anything 2014 and Newer...you will get a ticket.

That is a VERY nicely modified Funco Teryx, I can understand the desire to get more out of it.... ..however, you would be ahead of the game to sell it now and buy a newer machine with a turbo.

Any SXS that is 2013 or older can keep its modified seating, etc. Any SXS that is 2014 or Newer...can't have seats where there wasn't a seat before. Enjoy your Rhino, I use my converted 4 seater at Dumont and have no issues, its legal.

We want to change it up a little this season, my boys want to try MX Bikes, we'll see. I do have some kids quads to sell and upgrade to next size up.

My kids love their Quads, that is the market for Quads....Young (or Younger then us) People. Of course the new higher $$$ for anything "Performance" based are just crazy!

Oceano Dunes is GREAT Midweek. Weekends are like ay other Dune spot on a major holiday weekend. Go Mid-week and enjoy that SoCAL Beach dune riding....who cares if its small. We just did our first No-Toy trip to Pismo, stayed in North Beach Campground and had a blast....was weird at first seeing peeps with toys coming and going. My youngest son hard the hardest time getting over it, He said it was like standing outside the gates of Disneyland without a ticket...LOL....reminded me of being at a strip club actually LOL Some day I'll get a motorhome and explore that part of this state...looks so tranquil and serene...
