  2. Cool on the kby and progressive springs, got a source for that??? I want the car to sit a little higher and work the suspenssion and can live with the camber. I like to trail ride and want the travel. who steers anyway, I use the cutting brake!!! I have adjusted the nitrogen up and down but the sh*t that is on there now just doesn't cut it.
  3. My bad, I had heard on the scanner this weekend that the injured person had chest injuries and figured>>>>>>> Sorry I couldn't see the forest for the trees in my way!!!! and I just spent big money to have my eyes fixed!!! I'll start rebuilding my motor and get my Tranny close ratioed and quit posting bogus comments!!!!
  4. "My boy went up Comp when dark and we guess he thought it was flat up at the top but instead flew right over the lip onto the backside. He's a very experienced rider and just happened to get disoriented by the darkness (I assume). He'll be ok." We were sitting at camp and mentioned that those lights had been on the hill for awhile, so Bert took Pauly Paul, Sand~Snake and I over there in the Tracker to see what was going on. Bert tried to get to the guy in the Tracker when we found out that they couldn't get to him, but we couldn't get there. We were sitting there when the medics got there and we asked them if they needed the help of a sand rail, they said yes and we headed back and got CaptNkllm. He loaded 3 medics and their gear into his rail and took them to the guy, they were very grateful. Bert towed the Raptor the rest of the way down the hill, so that us helping you (El Coyote). I do have pics of the bike and the frame wasn't broken, the left side tires were flat and the plastics broken. We waited while the guy was being pulled down the hill on the back board to see if he was going to be ok. We were told he was conscious and in a lot of pain, but that he was doing ok. We heard that he couldn't feel his legs at 1 point, but glad to hear that is not the case. Keep us posted on how he is doing. Glad the DDR crew could be of assistance . Tell him to stop by the site when he is feeling better . This was in another post I copied for you to see! http://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/i...?showtopic=7975
  5. Anybody got a picture of the track layout. Might be able to see some of it from my place!
  6. I know, I had the exact same thing on my first swing axle but I know with todays technology with shockss there is a better set up! The front needs help.
  7. I've done my share of this! :drunk2: I've done my share of this too. I've done a little of this too but I have and will not go out of my way to annoy someone else, even if it is unintentional I still consider others during my activities. Society has changed, younger people are living at a different standard than I did or do. Shall we discuss reinacting the draft or parents that know that they have kids and how to raise them with some respect???? Sorry!
  8. It was a dark colored truck, don't know the make. It was loaded with young people, like early 20's or late teens. They aren't the only ones. There are usualy several stereos going at full blast. Bottom line is I have to get used to things like that or find another way to entertain myself. Hope it doen't come to that. I have enjoyed the sand for many years. Times and people have changed. To much, "more money than brains" of late. And don't forget I am
  9. Any suggestions for raising the car a couple of inches and improving the ride with a different set up. 13 inches now on front and 16 inches on rear for shock length with car up on stands. Set up stinks with hard ride and no travel. Car should have 8 inches according to hi jumper. Car is very light 800#s and 1,000#s with me in it! Thanks
  10. It must be an age specific issue I deal with. I finallly talked one of my camp mates to go to Comp with me on Saturday night. He has never been out at night before. We parked several rows back on the left. Action on the hill was very light due to the condition of the sand. It was about 8:00 so early for me. We had big trucks spinning around the corner right by us, quads were roosting us and others. Bikes and quads were doing wheelies in the isle in front of us. Trucks and rails would back into spots in front of us and leave their lights on, who knows why it took so long for them to turm them off. Folks were running huge light bars at full wattage through the crowds.?????The final straw for my compadre was the huge lifted truck that pulled two spots away from us, open their doors and turmed their stereo up to a point of annoyance and left it that way for the duration. The speeding in the isles and spining out seemed real un safe too. Been going out for years and the action on the hill was the draw. I'll have to get used to the people that think differently then I. My friend talked the rest of the weekend that he would never, never go out to the hill again at night. The fact that in my two previous trips to the hill resulted in someone pulling right in front of me, blocking my view of the hill and wanted to start something just because I asked them if they could move. Oh well! The area is made for partying and I know that, but it just seems like a younger more agressive and not too considerate group is increasing in size.
  11. I'll check BugPack, thanks. I see a new shifter coming!
  12. Need to find out who builds this. Need adjustment details. Thanks
  13. Your probably right.......This thread has nearly "Shot it's Wad"! And to think it all started with a damned weather forecast. Yup, ya had to be there on this one too!!! How about I put up a "Whipping Post" next time I'm out at Dumont???? that would be a Dumont happening!!!!! Actually found the perfect DDR "Whipping Post" It's a natural. It is steel and permenant. All it needs is a sign. It's west of vendor row about a mile by the edge of the ridge overlooking the road in. A very private place with ambiance. It points right to San Francisco, How appropriate is that?
  14. I estimate that the total crowd was down as much as half to last year. The group at comp on Sat night was as large as I have seen it and they were wilder in our area. With the new hoops at the top and left of Comp I agree carefull if running the hill. Banshie was packed Saturday and there was some filming of some kind with some desert trucks. I didn't like the idea that They would climb about half way up the hill and go down full throttle and jump the burm at the bottom on Friday afternoon. Too many people in the area. Some jumps were in excess of 50-75 feet long right into the left side of the parking and looky looing area.
  15. Too many teeth, only thing missing is a "pole"
  16. Seems like the crowds at Comp at night are getting bigger and more boistrous. I used to love to go out and watch the hill and some of the crazziness in the crowd;. Seems like the influx of Newbees to Dumont have brough a whole new eliment of folks whose idea of a night at Comp is to aggitate as many as possible. Maybe it's just me! Hope we are not headed the direction of the closure or real restrictions like Glamis has had.
  17. One consideration might be to try and have it out at the south pole. Kind of a DDR thing! with the BLM's blessing however! Or maybe the vendors would support it in their area????
  18. IMHO........ I think anything that would draw a crowd to your camp could be an issue. If you are in an area with other camps, that could be an issue as well with the noise if there are amplifiers and mikes, and vehicles that would migrate to the party!
  19. Thank Gawd the weather dorkcasters haven't got a clue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7 beautiful days with 2 hours of rain once in the early morning while asleep ! Rail held up, Rhino carried me on several side trips. Good friends showed up. Great Turkeky day meal. Great fires at night. It was awsome. Sand was rough from the rain. Crowds about half of normal as I saw it. Great Trip! Road in last Sunday was a little rough, graded today on the way out and smooth as a babys bottom!
  20. There is a thread in here somewhere. You really need to be there to appreciate why I am ROTFLMAO right now. Not laughing at you ltr450, It's something that happened on my end that your post brought up!!!!
  21. No not the dreaded calluses :angry2: What if I want to sqeeze some "mellons"??? I wouldn't be able to tell if they were ripe, real or those synthetic ones......................... for the fruit bowl. Would hate to scratch the skin on one. I better get out the: 1 a: an oblique allusion : hint , insinuation ; especially : a veiled or equivocal reflection on character or reputation b: the use of such allusions <resorting to innuendo> Seems a little harsh!
  22. :?: Damn, Sure a lot of deviants in DDR that are concerned about me "Pulling my Post". :angry2:
  23. It's a proven fact that us :angry2: oldies take a lot longer to get the job done but the result is total quality!
