  1. it actually is a law now...has been since Jan 1 2010...The state is doing odd vin #s one year, even the next you will know when you get your dmv renewal in the mail If you have modded your truck by removing any smog equipment, make sure you put it all back on before going in for a smog, or you will fail the test consists of a visual of your smog equipment, and an opacity test, where they put a white background next to your tail pipe and stomp on the gas. the smoke has to clear within a specified amount of time If you rock a tuner, put that bad boy on stock BEFORE you roll to the smog shop, and leave the tuner at home. if you have an aftermarket air intake, call the manufacturer, and ask for the CARB sticker for that item immediately. make sure you have that CARB sticker on the intake BEFORE you go to get it smogged Aftermarket exhausts are OK, as long and the kitty is still on there. if you dont have your kitty on your truck, put it back on BEFORE you go to get your smog
  2. wow...first they run off the camp hosts, now they want to jack our fees up again, but disguise it with "simplification" ? Im not for it, but if it turns out to be the only thing that can be done, maybe we should ask for a 5 year period of no fee raises? With less and less people going to Dumont due to the recession, the fee should DECREASE, not increase. I feel that the BLM is attempting to do this to shore up their budget that has been hacked recently

  20. i would recommend going to the prc forum http://www.prcforum.com/ how much do you ride sand? how much are you on the hardpack? how much do you use it, if at all, for chores around the house? the answers to these questions play a crucial role in what upgrades to get. In the sand, the clutch kit will not give you a higher top speed......your top speed will actually go down if you gear it for the sand...what you do gain though is more lower end torque....dude's name is bikeman of bikeman performance, or dirty dawg racing...he has the best clutch kits for the Polaris sxs's a fuel controller wouldn't hurt either, as your machine, like mine, comes from the factory severely retarded. They run really lean....add more fuel to fatten it up a bit. this will also help your motor last longer and not run so hot. im not sure about paddles, as I havent heard anyone running paddles on a stock ranger. I run the factory rims and tires....I do just fine for a cruise through the dunes.....nothing jaw dropping though also...i highly recommend getting 4 point harnesses that bolt up directly to the mounting points of the stock seatbelts...except the submarine belt....and some leg minders to keep your legs from flying out when turning sharply. as I said...check out prc...the largest polaris sxs forum around good luck
  21. Before you cut anything, get out a pan, heat to medium, and put the jalapenos in the pan. brown all sides of the jalapeno. I have found that if you have a flat utensil that you can use to apply pressure to the chilies, the process goes much faster...if not...count on 15 minutes in the pan. Cut up the pineapple. I start by chopping off the top and about a half inch up from the bottom. Then, I start taking the sides off by slicing straight down from the top to the bottom. try not to take too much of the actual pineapple off when you do this. next, find the center of the pineapple ( the firm part in the middle) and cut as close to that from top to bottom. you should wind up with 4-6 pieces of fresh pineapple that is as tall as the pineapple was after you took the bottom and top off Next is the cilantro. I use scissors to cut the leaves off of the stems...its ok to have a few stems...but not too many, as they detract from the final taste of the salsa GET OUT THE BLENDER Put half of the pineapple in the blender, along with the cilantro leaves you harvested from the stems. For the chilis, cut the stem off and place the chilis in the blender as well (they should be all brown and black) Squeeze the lemon into the blender...you get more juice out of it if you cut it into 1/4ths Get a cup of water, remove the plastic piece from the lid of the blender to add water when needed. turn on the blender Most of the ingredients in the blender will not be moving, only a little from the bottom will. the water helps with this situation......begin pouring water into the hole in the lid SLOWLY.....until the pineapple and chilis begin to move toward the bottom of the blender...STOP WITH THE WATER IMMEDIATELY You can continue to add water for consistancy....but not too much, as it detracts from the taste Mven my Mexican friends rave about the sweetness and the hotness combined together in this salsa. this is great on Carne Asada tacos, as well as chicken. Great for dipping tortilla chips into as well. I've even used it as a salad dressing. I thickened it up with a half of a ripe avocado...mmmmmmmmm Buena suerte DDR foolios!!! Photos by rushjunkie...
