We just got back and unloaded in time for the last laps of the race. I just wanna say that we had one of the best times ever. You folks are a blast, and it was nice to meet everyone...THANKS...... :smiley: fctryblack84 can't stop talking about the rail rides this weekend. Thanks go out to JoeDuner and Randog for taking him out....I just love the look on his face when he talks about it. We took one last ride this morning and when I was about to do donuts in front of our neighbors camp, to repay the favor (ask JoeDuner), the rail quit...... It's probably a good thing....that rail has taken care of me...let's me down then takes me home. Leaves me a little confused like the ladies! I'm pretty sure it's the points or condensor AGAIN....time to buy the electronic ignition. Can't wait till the next time.....the wife will be there and good times for all! Still gotta try the ....

We're on our way out the door.....but we have a stop or two before leaving Vegas. We're playing hookie and leaving way earlier than expected. I'll look for Nick. Hopefully they know we're coming.

Nice rails....but you have a SandSprite 5 Dual Sport. You had me worried...I have a SandSprite 4 - mid engine (no travel!!) so I went here to check it out. This is my first rail, and it's on the 2nd season....hoping to go to powder coat in the off season. It's a blast even with a 1835 in it. Someday I hope it will grow up into a LT rail. I really like the Tatum a lot.

Yes..... nothing major just a 1835cc. I'm also using a K&N remote filter. I'm not sure if it's worth $12 a pop, but I just wanted to be safe than sorry.

On my last trip my breather hose split...I didn't catch it till who knows how much later. I was hoping for cleaner oil on this last oil change, but it's kind of tainted test with the hose split. I'm going to bump it up to every other trip and see how it looks then. Hopefully it'll look cleaner.

I'm curious how often most of you change the oil on your sandrails.... I've been out 3 times and just pulled the plug....it's pretty black. Dirtier than I would have thought.

A little while back on another site some guy found a place on the web to create motivators of your own....some were hilarious. Go here if you'd like to try. Mine is a little weak on the picture, but I think it's funny......

When I heard about the sewn in Crow's ripping.....I replaced mine right away. I was going to ask Crow to replace the bottom portion of the shoulder harness but after inspecting them they were out of date, and they were the 2x3's. We are building a baja for my son, and just put in the class 11 cage.....so there was a new set of 3x3's available and not being used at the moment. I like the 3x3's much better and my son wants his replaced with the 3x3's with sewn in padding. I'm also thinking about moving my rear bar where the shoulders mount....I'm not super happy about where it is now. Sorry about the thread hijack dunefreak.....oh well...it's a good subject anyhow.

Yeah...that's the great part about livin' here. When I go to Dumont I go through Baker and fuel up...then it's through Tecopa then a detour via the Red Rock Loop (to avoid the line at I-15) and then home.
