  1. As a retired USAF Veteran, I'm doing what I can to bring FEDERAL charges against this hispanic, non respecting this country, vice principal. I don't give a damn where ya come from, be proud as a matter of fact, but if you live, work, pay taxes here in the US, you're a U.S. LEGAL citizen. What that vice principal did, in fact, was against the US constitution. If you don't know, and most US citizens don't know, google "US Flag Etiquitte, ( http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=...D8xq5Xc2nbb5F7w ). ElPato, you are dead wrong in your way of thinking about the US flag. It is not aloowed to wear on any garment of clothing. I would suggest that you read that link that I posted, it would be good information for all legal citizens of the United States of America. Try reading the US Constitution, and the Bill of Rights while you're at it. Every citizen should read those documents. I'm going to do all I can to get that VP fired and removed from any school district in my country. I wrote a check 35 years ago, to the US Air Force, for the amount of up to, and including, my life. They didn't cash that check, but held on to it for my entire career, when it was returned. If you think this is funny, you've never had to live in a country that would not allow you to fly your on countries flag, I have. If you think I don't take this kinda stuff serious, I do. Very serious, and very serious about my flag, don't disrespect it. I fought for that flag and the meaning of what that flag stands for. If it doesn't mean the same to you, there are flights out of this country EVERY DAY, get on one today! I'm a retired, disabled, well decorated American Veteran that still loves and respects his country. You should too, at least around me!!! :freakin_nuts:
  2. If my business goes under, you're all in for a world of hurt. I work for the gubment, Dept. of the Air Force, and my job hasn't changed a bit in the past 7 years. We're still hard and heavy gettin it. All the OT I want. It's good to earn the gubment cheese, and I'm VERY thankful too. I'm also retired USAF!!!!
  3. Can we make a trade for my Harley-Davidson Softail? How much do you want for the Camaro? debtanker@msn.com azhoggjockey@msn.com either will do
  4. I got it put back together, and it works. will wonders never amaze to cease me!!! I'll post some pics for AllStateAgent Mar. 2, Tuesday!!!
  5. Again, I apologize for the long time to respond. I've had my car apart to get ready for our Mar 7th trip, new CV's, boots, and flanges for the rear end. I've got the front end apart to replace the urethane bushings with delrin bushings and building new tie rods, still. I had aluminum tie rods, and I'm building some from 4130 chromoly and changing to 5/8 Heim joints on the ends. It'll be alot less slop. I also took somebody's advice and clocked the CV's on the axles. I used a 3/8 rod and it was easy to do. I don't have high angle axles, but I did it any way. Soon as I'm back together, I'll send some shots of the steering and front end. debtanker@msn.com BBTank
  6. What's wrong with a Don's bus box? I got a 3.0 vTec with a T-4 turbo, and it hauls the mail. I broke a CV the first and last time out in it. I just found out about CV clocking, that'll be done before the next trip out.

  8. I'm sorry I missed this response yesterday. We had folks coming over to hang out by the fire pit and eat some chicken and dumplins. I really like the 3.0 motor, with the 2-3 hrs. of seat time I have. It hauls the mail with me or with 3 other grown men in it too. Thanks for the compliment, I bought it the way it is, from Brad Gardner. He built it, with some assistence from some Phoenix area buggy shops. I won't say, because I'm not sure this minute. Tell me what pics you want and I'll send them to you. Send an email to debtanker@msn.com. I really don't know what the motor weighs with the T-4 turbo and all the plunbing. The tranny is a Don's bus box, that on the invoice was about $3800(?) I think? It is very straight forward on shifting, not a gear missed the first and only time out with it. It's a very positive shifting, well working transmission. I'm in the process of building some chromoly tie rods. I just ordered the bare stock the other day. I'll drill, ream, and thread the ends for the new 3/4" heim joints. I have a machinist friend that will make some tapered bushings to install on the spindle side. That should take care of any steering slop in the front end. Let me know what pics ya want, I'll try to get them, my car is up on jsackstands now, so it's not movable. I would be happy to get any shots I can that you want, let me know. If you find yourseld in Tucson, or close, let me know. We'll go play in the desert not too far from my house!!! Tank
  9. Yes, please. I would like to have that also. I have a friend in NM that is very knowledgable on buggys and he's helping me as well. I really like the way his car drives, and want mine very similar, not exact. Thanks ASAgent, Tank
  10. That is a good question, I don't know, yet. But I'll get back to you and let you know. Tell me, how do you like your car? How did you set up the shocks? I mean nitrogen pressures, how much compression on the springs? Tell me more please, this car hasn't been set-up completely, yet. But I'm working hard on to get it done. I had to work today (0500 hrs. to 1330 hrs.) but I'm leaving in a few to go home and work on it till toniight, late. Thanks, Tank
  11. The Baja Pro's are for the desert. I run the desert a good bit, I live in Tucson, and I'm not gonna drive 6 hrs. just to play for a couple of hours. I have a set of razor backs for the sand. We'll be in the sand the first week of Mar. I'm still working out the bugs. Making new tie rods right now.
  12. I hope no one thinks I took it personal. It's only fun here, no bad attitude, just having fun, pokin at everybody here. I'm kinda serious about finding out about these tires, but I found out elsewhere. Nothing here is taken too serious, everybody should have fun here without the attitudes I see in other forums, please. So far, this is a good forum, with good folks contributing to it. BBTank
  13. What???? ARe you guys some lame a$$e$, or what? Nobody has nothing to help with? I'm pretty shocked, is it because nobody knows me? because I'm not one of the cool kids? Why y'all gotta pic on the fat kid, huh? I never get ot play in all the fun. I found out that Yokahoma Super Diggers are very close. But I did find the Baja Pros in CA. andthey got here today. That's not letting all y'all off the hook, you guys let me down. Just remember, I'm a chef, and when we go out, we've got 50lbs. of extra food. That's just for everybody that stops by out trailer. You guys have a big a$$ FAIL
  14. I called my local Discount tire to have them get me some Baja Pro tires for the front of my buggy. The guy I deal with said they were discontinued, from Mickey Thompson themselves. Anybody else heard this? I did find some and ordered a pair to go on my new rims I just bought. Anyone?????? BBTank
  15. I just went to Chirco's and bought 4 new ones from Germany. $75 a pop, and I'll go from there. Chirco is only about 3-4 miles from my house. I used to work for Joe, in service, many years ago. I should be in good shape for Buttercup in Mar. (i hope)
  16. I did indeed stop by, and those folks are very nice. They gave me a couple of strip clip in rails for free for small items we tie down, big cooler, BBQ grill (the Webber has to be safe) and were helpful. Look them up if you need tie downs, straps, or any cargo needs, they have a bunch of cool stuff. BBTank
  17. Oh, BTW, cargo gear has all kinds of tie downs. The best part is, they are right here in Tucson. I'm gonna stop by today and pick some up on my way home from work.
  18. I'm retired military and don't give my kids any money. I refuse to be an enabler (spelling) for anybody. I make money to do what I want, both of my boys can do the same, they have skills. Now you know alot more about BBTank than alot do!! Tank
  19. Took it out for the first shake down runs, and it shook down. Shook down to 2 exploded CV joints. Almost fixed now. The wheelbase on the right side was/is 126" and the left side was 127". It's now 126" as the right side. The arm was adjusted to far out/back. That's put in place now. The axles were mushroomed on the ends, that's fixed. All new 930 joints in place. Next is the bit of slop in the front end, not bad, just annoying. My new 15X4" BTR's came in today. Gotta get tires on those now. As far as the motor, interior, and everything else...........absolutely flawless. I'm in love with a machine again. That thing is quick as a convict on a prostitute, right now!!!!! Going to Buttercup in Mar. for the wife's birthday, and with some friends for another shakedown. It sould be completely ready by then. Tank
  20. Dawg, I have 2 bad knees from the wearing combat boots for 20 years and working on the flightline concrete. I have a bad back from falling off an F-4 (be quite about that one, I never told the wife, no kidding, shut up about it) and I have a heart problem. I live in serious pain EVERY damn day, but I'm not gonna sit around a whine about it. I got a life to live now that the kids are grown and gone. I don't ride the Harley any more due to the knees, but we make up for it in the 69 Corvette, or the sand car. My life just don't suck too bad. Be thankful every day, not just one day in Nov.!!!!!!!! Y'all come have a beer with us in Tucson, and we'll fire up the BBQ pit. BBTank
  21. I'm not denying a thing. I'm just not old yet. I know some old people that are my same age, but they sit on their butts and do nothing
  22. You sir, are correct!! Well, for the most part, some old people have been doing it wrong, not me, but most have. I'm not in that group tho', I've been doing it right, and I have proof. By the way, 53 ain't old yet. Now 54 might be, but not 53. I can't be old, I just bought my first sand car and I have to enjoy it for along time dang it. :ahhhhh:
  23. That beer offer is good any time ya young punk. I live on the east side of Tucson, debtanker@msn.com and let me know when you're coming to visit. Pi$$ me off, and we'll throw some ribs on the grill, too. I work at AMARG, which is also known as the "boneyard". Oh, and I'm pi$$ now too!!!!!
