Praying for our fellow duner. I was fortunate enough to enjoy some fantastic BBQ this weekend, and although we haven't met, my family and I will be praying. Keep us updated.
God bless!

Click the "more reply options" tab at the bottom of the reply window; then click "choose files" under the attach files tab. Next click add into post to place them where you want them. If it won't work, you'll need to resize them down.
If you still can't get it, read up in the help pages:

Good luck; hope you find him

That's my rule too! Passengers may not see the importance of them, but it's not up for discussion with me. This is just 1 more incident that confirms they work. Everybody ought to consider getting equipped with them.

Just a shot in the dark, but have you checked for a strong consistent spark?
Your latter symptoms( i can keep it running by feathering the throttle. and it will go. and from time to time it startes to go like nothing is wrong ) kinda sound like my 3 wheelie and the ground issue I struggled with.
The smoke however, sounds a little more like bad rings. Have you tested the compression?
No expert here, but tryin to help

I only have 3 or 4 cones. I'm not planning on leaving until friday after work, but I can grab them if you need them. Hoping to get there just before dark...if work cooperates

Small world! I hit LBC every morning.... Right off Anaheim blvd.
yup, should be able to find something around there; nothin but trucks down there
-
I am looking for Local Stock. I am not looking at the brand. Hell If Trojan was around the corner and sell direct I would go to them if time permitted. Just checking if anyone in the area knows of a place with Stock???? Thanks for the replies.
I know you say LA, but I find them all day long at a truck parts place in Mira Loma( 15 & 60 fwys). West Pac off of Etiwanda just south of the 60 to be specific. I believe they are about $70-75. Don't know if that's too far outta the way, but thought I'd chime in for ya
. Any truck place in fontana should stock them, too. Napa maybe? -
That's dumb that they have to use the money for aesthetic purposes. Our country is getting poorer by the minute and Obama is spending spending spending! 10 more months!!!!!

At last, project is complete. I took it out to the Dry Lake bed for a little test and tune shakedown and it definately rips! Im amazed at the difference in power and the fun factor just tripled. The project definately required more time, parts, and trial and error than I anticipated but was worth it. A couple of things I learned along the way, the Cobra under exhaust does work and will clear the starter (also sounds great). The chinese carbs that come with them are not very good quality. The one I received had a stuck slide right out of the box, bowl leaked, and lost the screw on the choke plate (not while it was running thankfully). So I ordered a Mikuni VM 20 carb which I was told was actually bigger than the Chinese 22-24mm carbs (Hondaatc70.com), I put the Mikuni on and it is not only easier to tune, makes it run better, but it give the tank more clearance. I put the new motor in with the carb and manifold spacer on and still cleared the tank. The only thing I had to do was bend the reserve fitting on the tank straight down. No hammering, welding or any other modifications. Also, I read that using a hotter plug NGK C6HSA is better and should eliminate any fouling issues, which I do have. Im putting the new plug and will retest, so we will see.
No joke. I've been shaking mine down as well. Found a loose ground connector causing all kinds of headaches. So much fun though! I was attempting a donut in some gravel and about 180* into it, the tires caught some traction, and I wheelied it nearly into my fence
. Definetly has more power...maybe too much for me apparently

Holy cow, that is scary.
Those wrist protectors are a great idea. OGP reccomended I use them when I bought his car, and I ordered two for the back seats as well. A lot of people are funny about putting them on in my car, but now more than ever, I'm glad I have them. This goes to show you, anything can happen anytime; Again, glad everyone is ok.

Sounds like a good, memorable time; Glad you guys are ok from your rollover.
Next weekend should be a good DDR meet and greet; are you gonna make it out there?
-
OK, so I have her basically finished:
Frame straightened,
exhaust fabbed,
"kick" starter fabbed,
disc brakes fabbed,
disassembled,
sanded,
primed,
painted,
re-assmebled,
brakes bled and working,
Front neck ball bearing all over the floor, found, cleaned, and regreased...those are a pain in the butt by the way...couldn't they have designed those with a cage
. I had a few short days at work this week, and a whole saturday of tinkering, and except for the new lack of spark, I think I'm done. Probably just a ground issue, I'm gonna look at that tomorrow, and hopefully get the lifan broke in this next week in time for the fun! I'm thinkin after the festivities, I'll order a new seat cover, some new bars and risers, and any other cosmetic stuff I'm lackin. I am SOOOOO excited to fire this beast up and completely finish destroying all remnants of my back yard grass

here are a few pics off my phone

Had some "Shaw blue" imron sitting around from a few rigs I painted...I figured my trike could be black and blue...like my life right now

I had so much fun building this, I can't wait to get two more: pink fenders, pink paint, here I come :dumbass:

^^^wise words there!
I'm a single income family of 5, and my income is quite a bit below what you stated. I have a lot of toys, and it perplexes a lot of people. I had a neighbor ask if I hit the lottery once; but no.
I try to live below my means. I don't live in a half million dollar home. I don't pay interest on anything...if I can help it. We don't go out to eat but a couple times a week; pack my lunch for work, don't buy $5 coffee everyday, etc.etc.etc. Basically, I keep a tight grip on my finances, so I can save it up and blow it on toys for my family and I; and although this isn't really the forum for it, I tithe regularly, and proportionally, and I believe God has taken care of all my needs and then some, because of it. There is a lot of financial advise out there; but I went with a program called crown financial ministries. Basic stuff, like pay down debt, save for a rainy day, etc.I've been duning for 16 years now. Used to be me, my cr250, and a pickup bed with a sleeping bag. A whole lot cheaper then
, but life throws surprises, doesn't it? It's all about how you prioritze. You'd be surprised what you can accopmlish with just a little determination.

Happy to help!I got a lil' overzealous on mine and stripped it down for paint
...Really hoping I can pull this one off now

Schweet!
My boy call these three wheelies. He'll get a kick outta your lift

-
YIAH! choke that sucker. Sounds lean. haha
Yah, just a squirt, no fuel hooked up yet. I couldn't resist, or wait any longer

what did you make the pull knob out of? I have one that is a bear to kick because of the clearance issues?
5/8" round stock, a welder, a torch, to shape it, and a chrome shift knob from my local vato zone
LOL
Pete thought I was crazy when I told him to use the acid....
The only other experience I had with it was when I diluted it to like 50:1 to clean my brick fireplace, and even then it was nasty strong, so when Pete says "just toss it in there without diluting" I was thinking we weren't talking about the same stuff. That chit was bubbling real good at first too!
my only mistake there was some spilled on my wood work bench, and when I left my tools on my bench in the days following, it apparently had soaked into the wood, and they got destroyed. The chrome is ruined; looks like I found them at the bottom of the ocean

It's alive! With a squirt of go juice, she took her first breath today. Just about ripped my hand off that jockey knob. She sounds just awesome resonating in the shop. I haven't been this excited for awhile. Might need some help tuning the carb, but she should be ready for the regatta!

New phone uploading to a new pc, and I haven't figured out why its setting them so small

OK, so I've been trying to get this thing going, and here is some of my progress on my 125 lifan: I wired it up and checked for spark tonight, and I'm getting really stoked

quite a bit a manipulating, and the exhaust fits
even more confusion, and the hyd. disc brakes are functioning
I set the tank and fenders on her, for a self motivational moment
And lastly, my "kick" starter jockey knob

I SOOO want to get it powder coated and re-upholster the seat in time, but not realistic with work right now

Frickin awesome! Can't wait to get mine

We are seeing that federal money on roadside projects as well, here in SoCal. Mostly noticing a lot of hard scape and palm trees along the freeway interchanges and off ramps. In the dairy lands of Chino, we have seen community parks with soccer fields and playland/swingsets( which are expensive, like 200k alone) going up less than a mile apart, scattered throughout the developments. To me, that just seems like a land grab, but what do I know.
My beef is the money! Land here is going for 300-400k an acre. Not just that, but then you have development costs, then you have to pay a team of.....americans...to maintain those grounds for the rest of our, and our kid's lives. The scope of the financial implications is HUGE! Millions and millions. All of this though, when american families are struggling to feed their kids. Our government has lost touch with reality! Unfortunetly, "we" vote these morons in, because we don't pay attention to the details, or politics for that matter.
Everybody can see the benefits from these projects, but when do we consider the cost? What a slap in the face to the hard working, tax paying, american people

Sorry to hear Pete. Maybe get one of those electric KTMs and "double ninja" it up

Becareful not to park them to close to each other or they will multiply
Holy cow, no kidding...That's awesome!
I have a stocker and a 125 that's still on the bench. I'm hoping they start bumping uglies in the garage, and hatch out a couple of pink 70's for my girls

here is some of my "progress" on my 125:
Hoping to get it wired today, andfired up soon. No time for paint or powder before the regatta
If all else fails, I can run my stocker

4th Annual ATC70 regatta report - another super fun year!
in Dumont Happenings
Posted
This was our 2 nd regatta; but my first with a trike of my own. Came last year and had such a good time, I ran out and bought two 70s. I came in dead last in my heat, of the bikes that finished, but I had a blast doing it. I got in a ton of quality time with my lil boy, and I got him riding all on his own for his first time. We brought our lil girls, and my wife got them out in the wagon, which was cute! We also got them in the rail for their first buggy ride; got some video coming
After an awesome BBQ lunch, more fun. We all burried our trikes.... And filled our socks with sand, up on the finger dune, staging our photo shoot. Then, the raffle
I came out pretty good with some ATC parts and a set of ATC graphics... Pink... Which will work great for my girls 3 wheelies. I think I heard peewee did those: if so, I'd like to get another set for a set of identical builds I'll be doin. Big thanks to all the contributors.
Sunday was great! Big thanks to DF for a great run. Met a few peeps, and got to put some faces to screen names at the north pole. My family came out solo, but we met a couple familiar peeps: Pete and Anna, jackster, and met joeduner, dune rat, jj, and a few others. We felt welcome and amongst friends. My boy had such a great time, which is what this trip was all about for me.
It was a busy trip for sure, didn't get much for pics, but just a lil on the gopro. Can't wait to see all the pics!
Gonna have to get a stacker so I can get more 70s
Big thanks to all the DDR crew for such a good weekend
