  1. Let me just say thanks to everyone that was able to help out. The only thing I was worried about was the kids. The buggy just like anything else can be fixed. I learned my first newbe lesson, DONT let off when the a$$ end starts to slide out, get back in it to straighten it out. Lesson well learned, the car was handling so well, just got over confident. So now I need a good fabricator and some new powdercoat. Anyone know of a good place in town? I also need a new trunk/wing built. Glad to see it was built well enough to protect us. I will definately add B pillars since I will have to re-powdercoat anyway. Thanks all.
  2. Hey its not broke yet!! Took a good hard roll, but still in one piece. Cant say that about the wing though, it is trashed! Thanks to all who were there to help me out when I made a newbe mistake. DDR Rocks!! Pete, I need to talk to you about getting ahold of someone that can cut and rework the cage and then your paint guy to match it till I can strip it down and re-powdercoat. Thanks, J.J.
  3. I figured you would be going too slow to kick up any sand anyway!!
  4. Some people just want to be different. The wear on those tires is excelelent. He will probably blow up the truck before he need to change tires!! It looks a little goofy to me. I saw the black Ford superduty that has the same setup on the freeway. Looks funnier in person.
  5. REPOST - I guess my image host site decided to take my pics off... Here is my truck... Here is my old truck, didn'tthink it could tow the toys... Here is my old 96 Impala SS, had to get rid of it after I had 3 not at fault accidents. It was a magnet for bad drivers..
  6. Check out this one... Duneguide.com uses Baker's weather. I am still going :DDR_rocks!: , rain or shine!! Baker weather
  7. Actually shoshone and baker both show rain. Hopefully if it does it is only during the day for a short burst. If not then we will all be inside getting... :DDR_rocks!: :mc_smiley: or  :bj:
  8. Yeah as long as there isn't a rain delay!! :DDR_rocks!: The weather seems to be looking crappy for sat. 40% chance of rain. Look on the bright side, Armagosa shows a 50%chance of rain/SNOW showers. Hope to see you all there!!
  9. :DDR_rocks!: u suck! Although it does make a flatbed tow truck look puny under it! LOL :mc_smiley:
  10. yeah, that was a fun day. It was kind of ironic that I had to pull the tow truck out that came to unlock Dawns car. It was buried to the frame. Should have seen the ruts I left just getting him out. Good thing I had just got the new tires/wheels. I needed all the traction I could get. What sucks is the guys only seem to take pictures when my truck was on a tow truck, never when I was towing one out!!
  11. It will keep me happy for a while! I need it to take the kids out. They are 2 and 4 so still too young to follow me on quads. I hate having to leave them at camp or having to wait on grandpa to give them a ride in this one...
  12. I will be there if I get my A$$ to Cali and back on friday to pick up the buggy. If not I guess I will meet up with you guys on Sunday!!
  13. Here's my Christmas present to myself... Going to pick it up next Friday.
  14. Pete, the truck looks a whole lot better! You will like those tires. Same tires I have on the 20's I got from Travis. I will never run another tire other than these! Nice aggressive look, but still quite. How do you like them so far? I will check them out on New Years! Later!
  15. Check out this site. It has a link for Diesel and Gas... http://www.vegasgasprices.com/index.aspx?fuel=D Later, J.J.
  16. I found my limit 2 pres days ago. Took off from camp at night, heading to comp. Thought I was on the backside long hill up the back of comp. Well I wasn't! 3rd gear pinned, looked back to see where Craig and Ross were, and when I looked back up, nothing but darkness. Landed at the bottom. I got real lucky. I ended up just jamming my shoulder into the socket which craked the ball of my shoulder. Damn that sucked having to get up into my truck and drive. It was before I added the power steps, so I needed that arm to help scoot over in the seat. Just be carefull. It still hurts me to this day when I only get a foot or two of air.
  17. Good to hear! Now you can get back to work and earn that money! :monkeedance2:
  18. What if I ask my father-in-law if he wants to part with his aluminum stocks? He just put a wider wheel on. Travis just put a 2" leveling kit on it this week.
  19. why don't you put the pic up of it actually put together??? And go get some damn shock covers for cryin out loud!!
  20. I know you wont be able to rub one out for sure!!! hahahaha. I meant if you want to take up a collection, let me know.
  21. Chris, Dave is taking the picture, duh!!! LOL
  22. I started taking the Baker route. I can haul a$$ with the 26ft toy hauler fully loaded and my lifted truck (makes it a little harder to pull power wise). I usually run about 70-80 on the highway. It works out to be tha same time and it is a 4 lane highway most of the way. My friends yell at me when they follow up baker grade cuz I wont slow down and wait!! I love the power of my diesel.
  23. it was. it is my father-in-law's. My bro-in-law was driving it. He is afraid to open it up cuz he doesn't want to break anything. You should follow the owner on a ride. I think he would give you a good run. Trust me, it rides smooth! And fast too! Thats what made be want to get a Turbo Subaru rail! Here is a pic of the rail next to my quad....
  24. That was some funny $hit. It makes me want to go out and change the spark plugs, cap and rotor on my powerstroke diesel!! LOL Maybe I can even add an MSD ignition. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!
