  1. The blue tint works well for both
  2. Yep my bads, apparently the codes have changed a bit since the old days when a 487 was a traffic code. Now apparently it's 467 with a large amount of the alphabet behind it. Oh the good o;d days were so much easier, you cleared 487 cited, warned etc. oh well live and learn it's no BFD
  3. That would be 487 not 467, there is no 467 code. Trust me Tim I have my reasons
  4. I am in like Flynn! Be there Friday mid day
  5. Please update me on the results from this meeting, just for curiosity's sake. You might also ask them how often the new road grader is being used.
  6. Lol! Yes it was ironic. I am sure they would be open to that position being filled but may now be an issue with the bathroom contract being filled. However them not replying is typical and one of the many reasons I left the sub-group.
  7. Pat, yes Don and Ellen did clean the bathrooms as part of their pay and employment with the BLM. They have not been able to find anyone to do the host position so an outside contract was done. I see nothing wrong with that. Remember Don and Ellen were receiving about $800.00 each per month, living rent free and had their water and fuel supplied to them. They were warned about being BLM employees and accepting gratuities and after three written warnings it still didn't sink in so they were let go. Plain fact, they were an asset to the dunes but if your going to be employed by the federal government than you play by their rules.
  8. Pete, yeah I was sorry to not get to crack open a cold one with you but there are ,more good times to be had! Was a great weekend, got a little rain this morning and the dunes were pretty empty but camping area is filling up fast for the holiday. As far as I know no one went out in a copter or an ambulance so that's always good.
  9. Slight breeze about 10 mph about 60 degrees and the sun is making its way to the other side of the world. Been a long time but it still feels like home! The beast is impressive, gobs of power and suspension soaks everything up. I think it's more fun than the car especially in 2 wheel drive and no paddles. If you're not here your missing an epic weekend ! Terry
  10. Pretty much my plan for this weekend, cept we will have to bar B Q some steaks just to pay homage to the dunes gods for being away for so long:)
  11. I have a pumper set up for sale just in case you decide to go that way
  12. Bought it at route 66 motorsports in kingman, Az for $27,730. 00 OTD. They beat the local dealer by over $1200.00 and than the sales tax issue. I was invited by Can Am to attend a ride event near LV in Logandale, NV for a test drive. For doing that and buying within 60 days I got $1000.00 in free accessories. I picked up a lighted whip (which fell out and is gone within 30 minutes of first ride). Dealer is making it right but I think design on the whip mount system is poor and if I had seen it prior to picking it up would not have gotten it. I also got lower door panels, a front intrusion bar and the interior dome light set up. I will be adding Simpson seats and a set of 5 point harnesses. Then maybe see if I need anything else after paddles and wheels
  13. The X3 X RE turbo R( I don't name them) is as close to sitting in a buggy as any SXS could feel. You actually sit down in the cockpit and the suspension is soaking up pretty much everything you can throw at it. No side to side body roll and when you step on it the front end comes up, the rear squats and you get pushed back in the seat. I won't have my paddles for next weekend and I am still in break in mode, but I am always amazed at how well this thing does on any terrain. I wen t with the Can Am because other than wheels and sand tires and a 5 point harness my expenses pretty much stop. Every RZR owner I have ever talked to has at least $20K in above what they purchased it for and still don't have the suspension I got from the factory.
  14. I have a 450 stock exhaust that I would love to clear out of my garage if it fits yours
  15. You can try the trailer supply houses, I know there's one on Valley View and Tropicana that install.
  16. I have a Q2000 that I love, having said that I think the smoke house link you opt up would be my choice for the money and the foldable legs and cleaning tray. The Q only comes with a cover(extra) and not a actual bag. I didn't see if the smoke house one had a bag but for $8-.00 VS $200.00 I think you couldn't go wrong.
  17. If your for some reason backing in and the trailer pin is a little high it will also block the jaws from closing. When you do it by hand you may have just enough force to manually close them. I come on to the truck hitch with the bottom of the trailer pin box sliding onto the truck hitch if that make s any sense. Also make sure you grease/lube the jaws where they meet in the back.
  18. Pete, years ago we had a Lance camper that we re-did the flooring in. I left the original down and went right over the top of it. Shelly and I and my brother got it done pretty quickly. Get some knee pads:)
  19. Tim, I think their is a spring in the back that triggers the jaws. It may have broken or become weak. That's my only shot at it.
  20. Are you in Vegas? If so I would call Johnny Walkers and see if they can get you in. 702 458-2092 ask for service
  21. Yep, I do now. The new activity was always highlighted when I log on so I never really looked at anything else, my bad.
