I am certainly not a "hater" as your referring to me as. But I do spend an extreme amount of time taking care of Dumont along with a lot of other Volunteeers who do this with no reembursment. I only ask that everybody who is required to obtain a permit do so. If you don't then I wish bad "juju" on you. If you do get permits then I wish you the best and like Pete,I do like seeing Dumont in shows and commercials. Apparently i didn't need to wish bad JuJU on you as you bought it with you:)

Where does it showw the rides are full? Call Tim at the http://www.meadowcliff.com/. He's the leader of the whole thing. They have RV sites and a motel onsite. I can't tell you how much fun we had on this trip last year. We also did a side trip to Bodie state park while we were there. great place like steeping back 100 years in time. I have a 2 OR 3 NIGHT FREE CAMP SITE THAT i WON IN a donation and would be glad to give it to anybody who would use it as i can't go this year. These guys feed you breakfest every morning, the local girl scouts will make you a bag lunch for $5.00 and they have a nice dinner on Sat with raffle prizes etc. The resturants are good and prices are fair. Bridgeport is about 4 1/2 hrs fro Vegas. US 93 to Hawthorne and then left to Mono lake and over the pass to bridgeport.

David I agree with you but it's a loss of $5000.00 to the dumont fee fund. I think that are times when we look at trying to get the pass pricing adjusted down that if we had everybody doing the right thing and not trying to cheat the system we might be able to do it. It just irritates me that a company making large money wouldn't have the common decency to play by the rules. That's all it is with me, just a personal little thing that bugs me I guess.

Well if they get away with it then it's BLM's fault, if not then I would gather it's their fault, right? The reason BLM got called was to see if this was a legitimate operation. They are asking for people to come out to basically the middle of nowhere with expensive cars etc and who knows what may have been set up. Wouldn't be the first time something illegal was put together on the internet. I just wanted to see if they were playing by the rules. if they don't have a permit and they had offered money to come out and run I would not have done it

Look at it this way I probably saved them money. If they paid to get the cars and personal and gear to Dumont for the shoot and only found out in the middle of the shoot by a random LEO on patrol that it would all be for nothing and lost money. I play by the rules and have an issue with those that don't, plain and simple. I did check with someone at BLm and they do not have a permit. So you can look at it that I saved them money or I am an a$$ and threw them under the bus. Either way I have no regrets and would do the same all over again. My humble opinion and I stand by it.

Not being cheap but if somebody is going to make money off of my buggy on their show then they can part with at least expenses. It would be a unplanned trip and I don't think that making some money off of TV producers(Fat Cats) should be an issue. If you look at it this way; The more exciting the first show or the "pitch" footage the more chance of it getting picked up. Not having any other buggies out there and only 2 trucks sounds boring, so if they spent a little to make a better shoot then they just might be able to sell it to a network. Just my opinion, plus drag racing a sandrail from a dead stop can get expensive real fast. So I should take the chence for nothing? You know that no ones going out as it's hot , their are no shadows on the dunes due to the sun's position so if you want to encourage people to particpate you got to free up some Benjamin's just sayin, BTW as of last week they didn't have a permit for the shoot anyway and the LEO's wil be checking in on them:)

Maybe if you threw in some money to cover time and fuel you could have some cars that run show up? All I have to do is put mine on the trailer, but it will cost you $500.00 to get me there.

I won't be making that one. I have to have some major body work done and don't think i will be ready for an outing. Maybe a month from now, it was a good time though. Always good to see friends anytime. My congrats to Nick and his wife and his little package that's a brewing!

Well with fuel at $4.00 and race fuel at $$8.50 per gallon and that it is going to be 100+ degrees I wish you a lot of luck. You do have a BLM picture permit i would guess right?

So would this be a paying gig to use my car? I am only asking due to what it costs to get there and race fuel is not cheap.

I wouldn't want to spoil you and it would have to be exercised which for you it would mean it would never get out of 2nd and the turbo's would never get any action!

Bigler did my knees also bt they don't do total or partial shoulder replacement. Right now I am waiting for an appt. with Dr. Robert tait at GV Orhtopedic. The S will do for awhile and then maybe an XP but the maint and loading of the car and all the other stuff is just to much so we shall see what happens. i See lots of comments but no offers:)

I am selling my 2 seat twin turbo (ball Bearing turbos) with a built North star engine. Turbos are inter cooled and inter coolers and last maintenance done by CBM with tune by Danzio. Car puts 473hp to the ground and 465 ft. torque on dyno in 2010 at Danizo. Trans is a Mendi S4S just gone thru last summer. Car has new powder coated panels and new paint, new vinyl Interior was redone with Beard seats in Pleather two tone. Panels are also re covered in same material. This car is extremely fast, fun and dependable. My Doctor tells me that my hard driving days are done to the need of a total shoulder replacement. I don't want the car to sit, I am told it will be a long time if ever that I will be able to simple maintenance etc again with rt. arm, not a sob story just the reason it's up for sale. I just installed a new Lowrance G-7 Baja internal antenna GPS and it comes with in car and car to car radio with MP3 or I-Pod set up. Brand new 5 point Crowe belts with outside arm restraints. Tires are in good shape and although the frame is a little sandblasted this is an eye catching car. I will post new pics up next week but here are a few from last fall. There is this little hole in the wall place on Sunset and Sunset in the Smith's shopping center named "The Chicken Shack" They have the best wings, fingers, fries etc and are priced right. They sell beer there bud light and maybe a cpl others but we can always have a meal and a beer and then move it up to Barleys for some Fresh beer? So that's it I am in and I have named a place so somebody say when?
