First thing I would tell you is Don't plan a trip to Dumont during the summer! It's friggen hot as like in mid 115-125 degree range. Secondally the wind shifts during the summer and dumps all the soft sand onto the back side making the dunes extremelly dangerous and it's very hard to see due to the angle of the sun being straight up all day= no shadows. I would take it to St. Anthony's , Idaho. great dunes, can be warm during summer but not near as hot as death valley in summer. Try contacting Mike at Idaho dunes RV park for more info. Great dunes, a lake and lot's of other things to do in the area. Terry

Contact painter Joe on this forum. He does great custom work. I would have had him do my car but i want it back closer to home so I can watch and move the process along. Not that it would be an issue with joe in Ca. but you would have to know my Scenario to understand it. Painter Joe's stuff is as good as it get's in my opinion. -

Panels are being powdercoated at Alumicraft then the whole car is coming back here for the flames. Right now he's just giving the insurance company a bid of time and materials. When i get an actual # I will let you know. He is then going to clear coat it with PPG's super tuff clear to protect it. Maybe a little clear bra here and there also to try to keep her looking good for a long time:) -
Oh quit whining b*tch! I tell my wife when she complains about my driving" I haven't killed you yet, you can b*tch at me if I do! Prez weekend is more of a laid back busy weekend of watching the races and hanging with friends. Heavy traffic is usually not a problem as a lot of peeps are watching the event. Tore up?yep they can be

He was referred to me by the PPG rep who is a great paniter in his own right. I just rolled my sandcar and I trust Jim with re-doing the custom flames on my car. I am pretty pickey. Maybe you should call him and have a conversation. You asked and I answered, that's the best I can do. -

We will be goping out as well. Not sure if it will be Thurs. Eve or Friday eve. Going to enjoy the drags and this year if you have a SXS and want to race you can enter at the Jeep Club registration. It's a lot of fun and suppports a good organization. This is their 40th annual Presidents day weekend race. Apparently they are having a slideshow aset to music at night of pictures taken over the last 40 years. I am in a couple and didn't even recognize myself from when I was 20. Man age does terrible things to one's body!!!!!!

Al was a special person. Always offering his services to help with the clean up and other events. He gave of himself and his business and the world is worse off for his loss but better off for him having graced us with his presence. My thoughts go to his family and friends and know that the pain you feel right now will not go away but it will get easier as time goes on. He will never be forgotten by those who loved him but time makes the pain a little more bearable. God's speed Al RIP Terry

CROW 3" VELCROW NYLON HARNESS PADS
ynot replied to SAND~~SNAKE's topic in Miscellaneous stuff for sale
I have a nice set of "gently" used Crow straps that you can throw in with your deal Jim. However I claim no responsibility for their condition and they may have been "stretched" just a tiny bit! -

Yeah my new stripper girl really had a hell of a ride and a good grip:) She will be getting a new "pole" to hang on to that's for sure. It was good seeing you guys last night and again thanks for dinner. I had a wee bit of a headache last night, must have been the 10 second shot of Saki? See you when I comeback down to P/U her up. And this time dinner will be on me. Thanks, Terry

Anybody inerested? Should be a decent meeting. Talked to Roxie today and they are trying to get graphs done for us to take a look at regarding where our fee money is going. If you have a day and want to go I like the company on the drive. Let me know? Terry

You can't even make a referral for the poor guy? Jeez all you XP owners are all alike LOL

I wouldn't say happy was the word. It is quite a hassle dealing with insurance adjusters who don't know the difference from a sand car to a boat. Literally the adjuster asked me twice why I had to take my "Boat" to Ca.for repairs. So although repairs will be done it certainlly isn't fun. After missing 1 1/2 months due to issues on my motorhome and now this I will be lucky to get one more trip in the car this season. Glad I bought a RZR S so I can at least play and have some fun instead of being the camp b*tch. I actually am embarrassed this happened and feel horrible that I put someone else's life at risk over a stupid mistake that I should not have made. But it is a dangerous sport and as I told the owner of Alumicraft this morning I am grateful for his car building skills and truly believe that a lesser car and not having the proper safety equiptment the outcome of just sheet metal and paint would have been a different story. Lost Chihuahua/Dachshund Mix @ Dumont 1/28/12
ynot replied to Jared Peterson's topic in Lost & Found or Stolen
I saw the sign as I was leaving on Sunday evening and kept an eye out all the way to the road.Wish I could have been the one to return him to you. Don't give up, we have seen dogs come back after a long period. I was told on Sunday as a point of conversation that a dog lost at Dumont actually made it's way to Tecopa and the person who found him took a shot at calling the # on the tag and he got his dog back. Time away from the owner was 7 MONTHS! So hope for the best and best wishes for the return of your friend. Terry -
Get the big Interstates, a little more money but longer warranty and well worth the money in the long run.
