back to back trips yea yea hey pete i just got home from DUMPING :poop: and putting the trailer away. poker run seemed like a big success i set people up with loads of DDR.COM stickers. got a few dune runs even if they all but one ended with a flat. bent that rim good beat it back but couldn't get the bead to seal. thanks for the mog ride back from meet and greet. and thanks to pete and the gang for staying with me to the flats sunday. think the rim and tire are both toast was time for tires anyway. getting used to sleeping thru a hurricane at dumont and riding in the rain. hey terry YNOT can you tell us the $$ number what it cost and what is planned with the money? i think it could be done again even better with a few tweeks. summer poker run at night???? :?:

thats a hellova thing to lose did you go back and look for it? of all the things lost in the dunes that should be easy to find. maybe check with the camp host i could see it being turned in.

when you make blanket statements in middle of a thread about something totally different people get defensive. you dont seem want to come across as argumentative but you do. try stating your point with out being IM RIGHT YOUR ALL WRONG. maybe when people read that they think what qualifies him to make that statement. that brings up the sami its been a long time sense seeing a pic of it but what i remember is it looked rough and a little unsafe (maybe be safe to you but other might not think so). i would think it would be better to put together a thread that lists some of the things you see that YOU think is unsafe or not as safe as YOU think it should be. and maybe what qualifies to make those calls. give them something to think about and let owners make there own decisions on if there toys are safe enough. also some of the cars you are talking about have been built by builders with very strong safety records that have been building cars for a long time.

i always keep it in the glove box. only pull it out to show the rangers at the pay station. there have been stories of people getting them stolen out of there trucks. it is like a $100 bill after all.

there IS a time AND a place for everything. everyone needs to use there BEST judgement on when is the time to go overboard and when to SHARE the space we have. there are no road signs or anyone calling out fast skate slow skate or couples. have a swivel head and play on the safe side. one thing everyone should agree on is causing a accident where you hurt another would be the worst feeling ever

nice video joeduner and i were there when that red fireman car did that jump(at the first of the video). think it was his dads car and that jump almost went bad. he had to stop and check the car over and it looked like the steering wheel twisted his hand. bet he wouldnt want pops seeing that video.

my rant is all the kids driving rhinos. its a 1000 pound car people! every 3rd one in the camping area had a kid driving(pre-teen). and most could barely see over the steering wheel. a lot were packed with 3-4 kids going full bore. i think this is the stupidest thing. they dont know how to drive, they dont have the skills to stay out of bad situations, and they never look anywhere but forward or at the stereo. i cant believe there is any insurance that is going to cover them in a accident. just looks like a accident waiting to happen. oh im not positive but i do believe it is illegal. if not it should be!

great weekend joeduner and i put miles on our quads i went thru 6 gallons plus a half tank of fuel in the 450r. my hands are tore up and i am sore. time for some new grips. think 5 and 4 south pole visits. still warm out there looked at the temp saturday afternoon and it was 92. even during the rain it was still warm. i am ready for a cool/cold weekend soon. enjoyed riding and hanging out with jim and kristen and jill and charlie are always fun. charlie and i were entertained for about a hour on top of comp saturday watching the show. a lot of rails with for sale signs and many people getting towed back to camp. my favorite ride was with joe after leaving comp in the rain storm slick dunes raining hard laughing the whole way. totally soaked to the bone. love the big a$$ HID on my quad. met a long list of DDR people

work fell thru so im off to the D in the morning
