Im sure this has been brought up already but I need to know if I can buy a permit in pay station or do I have to buy online. If this sounds stupid that I am asking if i can buy at the pay station, I heard that you have to buy online. Thanks in advance.

Go to the front page and look up Passes and Fees. All info needed is there.

Yes, you can buy a 7 day pass AT the pay station for $40 for Prez weekend.

It helps and saves time if you get it from a off-site vendor, but you don't have to.

You can always drive in and tell the rangers that you'll get one from Doghouse also. You don't need the pass to get in, you do need it to get out.

I'll be there Friday the 13th at sundown until Monday.

Last time we went there was BLM people at the entrance checking for passes...and when we left there was nobody there.

But yes the ticket machines at the entrance are in operation, use the right lane when you get to the entrance.
