Free Agent Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 (edited) Thought we saw Rick the Pawn Shop Owner from Pawn Stars at Dumont. Had a Big GM 3500 duelly with a monster winch on the front and a WW. Don't know if I'd want to ride near Chumlee. Peaches sure,, but Chumlee? <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jc_CXFfT8cQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jc_CXFfT8cQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jc_CXFfT8cQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object><object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>Anyone here ever go to their shop in LV? dunefreak Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I have never even heard of him or that show, but I just saw my buddy's dad on there! hahaa He was the dude at the end of the first video trying to sell that guitar. His name is Pete and he owns E-String bar & grill and AJ's Music & Guitars which is here in Henderson. Quote

Wife doesn't get why I like the show. History I guess. Hell,, I dunno. Their was a Shelby Cobra chassis and body brought to the pawn shop in a recent episode I'm trying to find. Probably one of their best episodes. Certainly the most controversial. Shelby Ford Cobra fans say it's all legit, a genuine Shelby Cobra,, armchair bench racers say it's a kit car. I believe the Cobra nuts. A guy was called to get 'Some rid of some Auto parts" outta a no rent paid storage unit and told he could keep it, so after they authenticated is was the real deal,, the transaction was started. If I find the episode I'll post it. It's a good one. Quote
Special K Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 my neighbor was the dude with the 2 sick knives; from the WW1 era. Said he was trying to sell them on craigslist and that the history channel contacted him and asked him to come down. no money involved, just 4hrs of is time and now he's "famous"; haha just kidding......they were sweet pre geneiva act knives though..... termiteslayer Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 (edited) Rick has a shirt with his phone number on it. I contacted him about a coke machine that had been shot to hell that i picked up at a dune clean up trip a few years back. I asked him if I could get on his show. As he is going to have his own show outside of Pawn Stars. he said he'll talk to his producers about me. Edited January 8, 2010 by termiteslayer Quote
termiteslayer Posted January 8, 2010 Posted January 8, 2010 here is a picture of the coke machine Quote

TbonesMalones Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Everyone has a reality show, I'm thinking DDR is a perfect candidate. The title could be "Beer Drinking, Dumont Dunes Style". Quote

Free Agent Posted January 9, 2010 Author Posted January 9, 2010 (edited) Evidently the deals are legit judging by the takes here for sure. Perhaps the transactions are spread out for show content and viewer interest value, but some internet claims it's all fake are wrong and evidently is all on the level. Check out the Cobra episode. With out a doubt the most interesting: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fG1P67nBxMs&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fG1P67nBxMs&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fG1P67nBxMs&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxItcLHDgcA&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxItcLHDgcA&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxItcLHDgcA&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Edited January 9, 2010 by Free Agent Quote
