  4. That's the plans for sure! It's hard to say time lines cause well, I thought I was hitting the dirt the weekend after labor day with it but then BOOM... I really don't have much left on it though. Granted, won't have a front clip for a bit but cosmetics is the least of my concerns. (although I do need to peel the stickers off those used rear fenders ASAP!!! LOL) I just want one or two good runs with it to test for gremlins, then pay to have the shocks tuned and then one or two more good solid testing sessions on the hard pack and at that point I think I'll be ready to try the sand. I want some confidence in it before I play in the dunes with this thing!

  5. Yeah I need to get a flatbed soon and borrow one for now. I have used Terry's in the past but it looks he's gonna use it this weekend. I'll hit Pete up and see if I can talk him into to loading both up. I need to get a move on getting my hauler and everything ready, this season is coming up quick. Thanks for the offer Newly.

  6. That works. I do believe the farther away the BOV the more of a chance the compressor wheel can be stressed out or have a chance to slow down or stop. Especially when on the other side of the IC. No matter where you put the BOV its going to help and it will stop the comp wheel from barking and that's its main purpose. Cant wait to see it!

  8. Do you need a trailer? Talk Pete into going and you guys can borrow my 30ft trailer and haul both your cars out. I have a 20ft trailer too. Since Pete told me he wasn't going to go and I figured I wasn't going to haul another car so I decided to throw my car in the toy hauler and take the family. Ill head out Saturday morning. If you guys need a trailer let me know.

  9. Newly, if you end up taking your flat bed out and have room, I'll throw my car on there and roll out with you Sunday morning.

  11. Just FYI, they don't issue stated value policies, so the value you give them is just a basis and not what you would get in case of stolen or total loss. I use them as well and am in process of switching insurance over to my new sandcar. I asked for additional insurance on my new car and they said they couldn't. Just a heads up, in case you ever have a claim.

  12. Valid points to both comments. I talked with a guy at hondoctor today and his recommendation was to place it on the cold side so the airflow is continuous in one direction and will evacuate faster minimizing what he referred to as a "vein hammer". He said because I am running minimal boost then it shouldn't be a problem with heat soaking. If I intend on running 16 lbs or higher then place one pre and post intercooler.

  14. I understand the reasons for both ways, but I agree with Newly. It seems getting the pressure off the turbo the quickest is the best way. If you want to argue about the diaphragm lasting longer, I would say that the diaphragm is cheaper and easier to replace/service than a turbo is.

  15. I really like the paint on the Polaris. Kinda reminds me of a cop car.

  16. Hurry up Friday!!!! I don't care if its going to be toasty, any weekend at the dunes is better then no weekend at the dunes And the first weekend back in Dumont is always the best weekend!

  17. Are you taking the family or going solo Newly? If solo I might head out after work Saturday if I can crash in your hauler. I wouldn't be out there till maybe 7pm though.

  18. I have always put them on the hot side of the IC closest to the turbo possible. I was told long ago and believe that would get the pressure off the turbo compressor wheel the fastest for protection.
