  1. In the past, I replaced my toyhauler incandescent bulbs with LED but never liked how they looked. It was way too bright and felt like an emergency room. Well I never realized I bought the "cool" LEDs though. So I picked up some warm LED bulbs and replaced all 20 in our toyhauler. I noticed quite a bit of difference on our last trip. They are much brighter but not too crazy bright. There was also a noticeable difference in less power consumption too. Great results for less than $20. Pic doesn't do it much justice, but the LED is the first one and the more orange, dimmer light in the old ones in the back.

  2. I don't know that you can get any channels out there without a satellite. Go to your profile then click the profile photo to upload a photo. All ya gotta do is ask. πŸ˜†

  3. Video DuneGirl threw together of our Saint Anthony trip. I know it's not Dumont related but it is sand related and hopefully gives those of you your temporary sand fix until Halloween weekend.

  4. Just a heads up to all our buggy guys and girls, this season's Buggy Roundup with be on Dec 8-9, 2018. This is a group DDR trip where all the buggies of Dumont camp and run together all weekend. If you have a buggy, you are invited. Other are always welcome to join, but are asked to please stay behind all the buggies on dune runs and out of the group buggy photo. So mark it on your calendars and plan your dune trips accordingly. It's two weeks after Thanksgiving weekend. Hope to see lots of buggies again this year. You can RSVP to the event here, We'll be camped in the same spot across from bathroom 10 on the right side of the entrance road. It's hard packed and easy to find. Some pics from last year,

  5. So spent the last hours digging around. I was looking at Racequip, G-force and Simpson. But they all attach like the helmets with the straps over/ under the rings. I came across the Crow restraints and these have Velcro. I’m thinking of going with the crow. Seems like the Velcro will make super easy to put on and take off. Plus the quick clip to the restraints. $40 bucks a pop.

  9. Hello yes that was my Uncle. He’s still in the Las Vegas hospital doing a lot better. Can move his fingers and the feeling in his hand is returning. Thanks for asking. Appreciate all the help we received that day!

  10. The Stage was maybe 500 ft from where we were and we really had no problem with it but it eventually blocked the thoroughfare, it got narrower and narrower and vehicles had a tough time turning around. Then a guy doing wheelies slammed into the back of an LT car in front of us and things started to heat up. Early at Comp before the stage arrived: Our girls waded into the Rave crowd and I did get concerned for their safety but it was all cool, no issues. Felt bad they made them leave. Everyone was having fun. Just as the stage arrived looks empty now but comp soon filled up and it was slammed around the stage with people and vehicles all having fun and laughs. 15 minutes before the stage arrived. Older drunks were hitting on the younger girls and it was funny as the girls sent them on their way. One guy had a mouth of chaw and a cigar and a spit cup. Thought he was cool and the girls let him have it. All laughs, funny, no feelings hurts. Next day the exodus: For some odd reason our X3 was in for the water pump issue and the dealer thought they do us a favor by relocating the Sound system's power off the ignition. When parked the ignition times out in 3 minutes so forget that. Plus the hour meter is running. Engine running the X3 is easily the noisiest SXS on the market. I'm not talking exhaust note, these things sound like the chuck wagon in the cowboy movies pots and pans banging across the plains, just add the sirens of hell intake air noise. No owner will argue that so forget even listing to tunes while driving and our system is 8 Kickers, 2 subs, 2 amps. They did the same with my Tijuana speaker lights too. So no tunes this trip, but an appointment at the dealer to get it all reversed. I mention this as a heads up to anyone with an X3 that is considering a sound system. I was cautioned not to do it myself. I heed warnings. Connect it to the hot block, not the ignition.

  11. I moved my camp back further then usual ... got stuck next to a Rave last year 🀬 What a great Trunk or Treat followed by a epic crowd at Comp. The Monday morning ride was epic after the wind storm. Perfect weekend !

  12. I had a great time. Didn't bring my ride, just planned on camping and chillin. Arrived Friday night and got some pizza going on the pizzazz had some dinner, then headed to the camp fire for visiting. Played a couple rounds of beer pong. And ended up at the campfire chatting and visiting until 4 AM! I haven't seen 4 AM in a long time, well at least staying up until then. But the conversations were too good to stop. Slid into bed like a ninja and didn't wake anyone up! 8:00 AM later that day, up and ready to start the day. I was a bit worried about how Sandy, the new pup, would act with all the dogs in camp, but she did really good. Made some breakfast while everyone went on a ride. Tried to go back to sleep, but couldn't so Bloody Mary time it was. Hung out in camp visiting with everyone and introducing Sandy to the camp. While everyone went on another ride, I went ahead and laid down for a nap while they were gone. More like laying in bed reading my book, but it was relaxing. I had planned to ride shotgun with Mike up to our sunset hill. But Mike had other plans, and insisted that I ride shotgun for the sunset cruise. So I prepped myself for that! 😳 Maybe I'm just braver now or just driving my own, has given me a better perspective... but I had a complete blast! Watched the sun go down and then attempted to go over to the trunk or treat and find Jason, no luck! The turn out for Trunk or Treat was off the hook!!! We supported the vendors and bought some dinner, headed back to camp and everyone had gone to the haunted house. We heard that was pretty cool too. Then it was a run out to comp hill. Just in time to catch a glimpse of the dude stage... Hey, I didn't mind the dude stage, but I am a chick, so there is that! I know you dudes like to see the chicks up there, but sometimes its a nice chance of pace for us to get a turn! However the rangers made quick work of putting a stop to it, as they should. Back at camp and laughing our off until 2:20 AM. This was probably the absolute best Halloween weekend I have had out there in a long time, but this was the first Halloween in a while that we were actually in camp and not working our butts off on Vendor Row. Who knows, maybe I'll even ride with Mike again... I had so much fun I didn't take one single picture...

  13. We had alot of fun this Halloween! The turnout was huge as it has been the last couple years. We tried a new camp spot this year and loved it. There were still a ton of trick-or-treaters that came through with some awesome costumes. Never made it over to the trunk or treat because we were too busy in camp having fun. Glad to see @mineurbiz and the Romo Motorsports crew in the wacky inflatable arm flailing tube man costumes. πŸ˜† Every year they go all out! I've never seen so many damn side x sides in my entire life. Dumont sure has changed since I started going out. I miss seeing all the different buggies and homemade stuff you used to see out there. There used to be really fast stuff at the hill and chicks dancing around. Now we have dudes dancing and pretty lame races, if any at all. LOL The one thing I noticed and really liked this year was good dune etiquette! Everyone seemed to be very smart in the dunes and watch out for each other. As many lines of other duners we came across, most everyone looked like they were alert and smart about avoiding close calls. Weather was WARM during the day, but we hunkered down in the AC and had a really good time in camp. We found out @Dent boy's new baller motorhome holds like 20 people. hahaa We burned through all our race gas and beer in the 4 days we were there. It was a great weekend! Pics...
