  1. BTW, is your farm equipment fast (relatively speaking) ? ?
  2. After reading your post on my blackberry, I was gonna call you a jagoff and tell you to kiss off and that i didnt need your opinion. But, your rhino looks BAD--A dude. Farm equipment or not, Bad-A just the same.
  3. Actually am having DFR--Havasu (aka Tantrum Motorsports) do some work for me, he has the dry clutch on his shop Rhinos. Supposedly, they are a really good mod. Only problem is its moderately louder. I ordered this new clutch setup, but the manufacturer doesnt do the sport version anymore, just the race version. Difference is with the race version is more adjustability and no clutch cover, so now its a lot louder (supposedly). Switched to the sheave and clutch kit. Allegedly, just as good in the mid range and top end, just a little bit slower off the line. Decided to add the 45 mikuni carb to compensate and also, Im saving a few hundred bucks. I am sooooo psyched ! ! !
  4. I did the same thing when I bought mine 2 years ago. I couldnt afford the LT kit. I did the spacers (2") and the deep offset wheels for stability. I added the iShock P51's for less than $1400 and they work AWESOME ! ! Its a good thing that I didnt go long travel, because with the way I have to load my toyhauler, the LT is TOO WIDE. Now it just barely fits. Get her back from the shop this week. 686 kit, 45mm Mikuni carb, new intake, sheave and clutch kit Cant wait !!!!! Here's how excited I am ! !
  5. I actually searched the THmag forums and it looked like he decided to keep it. Also, given the dates on the postings, it was probably an 04 or 05 Ridge Runner. Now they use the 800 EFI motor. Much better ! ! MUDDY TO MEADOW RUN 04.19.2008 Yesterday, we did a run from Carp/Elgin Turnoff of I-15 (north of Logandale/Overton exit) to Panaca and back. Over 200 miles including some of the most beautiful sites and views in southern Nevada. Last year we had 9 Rhinos/Rangers and 3 Quads. This year, we had 18 Rhinos and 5 Quads and my buddy with the Blue Ridge Runner (Photo above). If I wasnt convinced before, I certainly am now. This thing went everywhere with NO 4WD more easily than we did with our 4WD UTV's. Finally, when we hit the road from Elgin back to the trucks, my buddy started 10 minuted behind the rest of us and maybe 30 minutes later, he passed us all (running full out) like we were standing still. This will definitely be my second ride. I hope that my wife will be satisfied with the Rhino. I'm saving and structuring the $$$ now and going to order one this summer for use in the fall. I am definitely sold ! ! ! ! !
  6. The ridge Runners use a Polaris 800FI motor from the sportsman 800
  7. My buddy bought this one from them. Apparently, this was supposed to be Steve's personal one and is waiting for another one like this. My friend is really close friends with the guys at ATV/Cycle Sports.
  8. They are now using the 800 FI, which does an easy 75. My buddy with the blue one in the photo says its awesome at the dunes, and I will have to verify that before I spend well over $20K. But, I only in the steep stuff use my 4WD in my Rhino, so I am less worried about needing the wheel spin in the RR. Its my understanding that RR has fixed a number of minor problems, including the belt issues. I will definitely keep you posted.
  9. I drove a friends Ridge Runner (Baja) and WOW. This thing runs 75 MPH all day long, is quick as heck and has great ergonomic and functional features. It has nearly 18 inches of travel and 22 inches ground clearance. Also, its the same width as a stock Rhino. Great for trails including the Utah Paiute. I was going to buy another Rhino for my family and do some crazy mods to the 06. But im going to buy a Ridge Runner instead. This one from the Ridge Runner website is the actual one that I drove. Its my next ride. The pic itself is awesome, but doesnt do it justice.
  10. My brother had the 650 Joyner and it was quite underpowered for real duning. However, I drove a friends Ridge Runner (Baja) and WOW. This thing runs 75 MPH all day long, is quick as heck and has great ergonomic and functional features. It has nearly 18 inches of travel and 22 inches ground clearance. Also, its the same width as a stock Rhino. Great for trails including the Utah Paiute. If this picture comes in the post (first time). This one from the www.ridgerunner.biz websiteis the actual one that I drove. Its my next ride. Im going to post this as a new thread to see if I can spur some new interest.
  11. After alot of research, I decided against the Snowmobile motor swap for now. Maybe in a couple years. For my second rig, I am getting a Ridge Runner. Drove one this week and it rocks! ! !
  12. Just dropped the use of hte Dunestars in favor of Terracross's Dunestars, I was 4 in the front and 4.75 in the rear. Terracross in the sand, I will probably run the same. Tcross in the dirt, I run 5.7 in the front and 6.7 in the rear. Seems to work good for me.
  13. Its gotta be BS!! How can lawsuits based on the factory design of the Rhino impact the allowance of a properly installed rear seat (if there can be such a thing, as they are not factory). Sounds to me like a "friend" who doesnt approve of the rear seat (but doesnt want to say so) came up with a "I heard . . .". Its BS.
  14. I just bought both of these (new and SMOKIN deal off of eBay) and wondered how they work as far as programmers go. I have the Dynojet PCIII since the 700 was almost brand new and have never been reallt happy with it. Map doesnt stay programmed and have difficulty pregramming with laptop. I have the Looney Tuned Exhaust duals and a K&N filter with Trinity Adapter. It seems as though the Yoshi will be very easily programmable. What do ya'll think??
  15. I run 26" Dune Stars on all 4 14" wheels. I also have 2" spacers and the wide offset wheels. It looks fine and rides awesome, especially with the iShocks, but my brother had the same setup on his Fabtech LT kit and the front looked a little funny. He went back to the Terracross's on the smaller front wheels for everyday riding.
  16. i bought them for my buddy for his birthday, the haulers. He loves them.
  17. We'll be out Spring BreK TOO!!
  18. I have a great hookup for new ones. If your paying cash. Let me know and I can PM you the info. Takes about a week to get it here.
  19. Awright ! ! ! ! Who did the work and how can I get it done. Also, now that you mention it, I have a worked 2000 Polaris RMK 800 snowmobile motor (I actually have the whole sled) that I want to install in my Rhino. Any idea on who could do that?? Preferably in Vegas. Holy crap.
  20. In the campground or the meadow? It looks like thats our plan too. I stoked. I havent been to CP since I was 15 years old (23 years ago. Ouch!! Am I that old?).
  21. I know that this is an old thread but thought I would give my experience. I called JW and got an appointment within a week. Took my 2006 Weekend Warrior (bought used and still has the Wheelers sticker on it) in for some minor repairs, plumbing, electrical, furnace and generator service. The service was done the same day. I did not need major work and some of the stuff they could have upcharged me for wasnt necessary and they told me so. Total bill, $286. I am a fan and will always use them, even though they are very far away. Finally, your only recourse against a business that refuses you or treats you wrong is to not use them and tell your friends (hence this thread). Any business owner that treats you like a red headed step child has EVERY RIGHT to do so. I refuse clients ALL the time! ! ! ! Sure they get pissed and do what I want them to. GO ELSEWHERE. Does it make sense, maybe not, but dont tell them how to run their business. Either give them your business or dont. My $0.02. 15 months overdue!!
  22. FOOLOFSAND--In case you didnt get an answer to your question, come visit our camp next trip out. Mitch and I have Rhinos, my buddy Ron has a Ranger, all with full cages, etc. You can check them out run them around and make an educated decision. As opposed to all that in this thread. PS I figured out who you were. Dont be a stranger next trip.
