What is the definition of an ATV in the governments eyes? Does this cover motorcycles, Rhinos, golf carts, etc? Or just quads? 90 cc for 12-16 year olds is crazy!! Have you seen the new Mercedes SUV commercial with all the "Some people might not" stuff in it (drive the autobahn in the rain, cross the desert, need 5000 welds, etc.) That sure looks like Dumont to me, and it looks like more than 25mph down the dirt road....

After reading about evrybodies fast cars and quads out there, and not wanting to spend all day at the hill to check them out, what do you think of having an accepted time to do some hill shootin' for those that dune as well? It may take a season or two to get the word out, kinda like the Glamis drags at dusk. We could start our own fun runs at say 2:00 PM (or after the meet and greets ). We could all pop over to Comp or Banshee Hill's between sometime (doesn't have to be 2:00) and we could see some real competition instead of 100 people in the "Top 10 at Dumont" club??????

We were parked at the hill early New Year's Eve when "The shooter" made a couple of impressive passes up, our camp race representative went to go run him down just as he parked with a blown gasket or similar misfortune. We talked to Steve for awhile, nice guy, doesn't care what you have, he'll run ya, not like some of the V-8 guys that don't like to race if they can't win. I'm sure we will have another shot at the title.

Bob, are you coming back out over New Year's at all? Ron (Monster Rails) is coming out with me this weekend (Fri-Wed). When I had my Ranger I was having him look at it. He is currently into Arctic Cat stuff, but work is work right now. He was rather slow for a few months, but now he has a small list of cars to make. Might need some fill in work while the frames are at the powder coaters or something???? He's moved now, new place off Eucalyptus/I. I'll mention it to him and see how he responds. Any guru's on board that could give me some advice on how to set up a dish? Stake it to the ground, make a concrete base? What does it take to find the satellite? This sucks, effin thieves. Hey Pete or Nick, is there a way to print off the posts? or could we have a recent DDR theft list that we could print off a page or two with multiple items per page so when we make a trip to the dunes to keep in our RV's to reference once in a while. Also, if the writer could add what city the rail was reported stolen in so if we see it, wouldn't have to post the poor guy that lost the item, we could just call the local PD and reference a report number to start getting these things back.....
