  1. I should be arriving late, around 10:00 or 11:00 after a wedding in Upland early evening. Looking forward to it. Hopefully I'll get to dune with some of those fast KFX700's.....
  2. Great Topic Pete. Remember there may be a few first timers at Dumont, 1. For the campfires that accidentally get glass bottles put in them, be sure to pick up the pieces in the morning. 2. Tie your trash bags down in the back of your trucks on the way out. 3. NEVER go straight over the crest of a dune. 4. Use CAUTION when riding around noon or at night, dunes end without notice. 5. NO WORMTRACKS
  3. First of all, Thanks Terry for sitting on the phone for three hours to speak up for all of us!! The way that I heard it on Tuesday from the LEO in attendance was, "The current law states the speed limit within 50 feet of a campsite is X, it is very hard to prove the distance from a campsite when you are a little ways away viewing the infraction taking place. This gets hard to prove in court". That is why we were talking of a new law, or current one that could be more enforceable, or if it is just a matter of more LEO's, jack up the admission to pay for them, and we complain about that too. From what I heard at the meetings, these problems are not that outrageous and can be resolved. Maybe some of us with a good repore with the LEO's could get a neighborhood watch program of some sort and report problems to the LEO's to check out when they have time. As for the river, they said "There is still water a little ways upstream", maybe some digital pictures from us on a regular basis, e-mailed to their office, could speed this up. Throw out some ideas, get involved, DDR is big enough to make a major impact out there.
  4. Do you charge for travel?
  5. DP, I'll be there, would love to run the hill a few times with you. What's your ETA, and I'll head over, we're going Wed night thru Sunday so we should get one good day in.
  6. Do you think I should go up to the 125?
  7. I have 4 Costco 6 volters in my rig, and love 'em. Remember the big key to any 6 volt (also 12 but even more vital on the 6) is to watch the water level. I check mine every 3 months and top off just to be safe. I've had them for 16 months, no issues at all. :ahhhhh:
  8. Love my Rage'n. They are built in Riverside, right off Van Buren in between the 215 and 91 fwys. I bought mine from Richardson's RV, but the only contact I have had with them was to write the check. All service I have taken it to Rage'n and had them work on. Their service department has treated me very well. I called and set up an appointment to bring it in, and told them when I had to have it back, and they always met my schedule. Most all of my issues have been cosmetic, only mechanical trouble was the exterior fuel pump quit. They replaced it no questions. I did not like the layout of the Raptor, so I didn't compare warranties. The Rage'n really has a good warranty, and my favorite was the 5 years on the tires. I think both trailers are very nice. Good Luck......... :ahhhhh:
  9. Joe, you've been just about everywhere then haven't you?
  10. Kenny, will we have time for lunch, vehicle change, ice chest stockin', and make it to South Pole by 2?
  11. This is nothing new, I'm trying to attach a press release from 2004 with almost same rules. Yes it's great to inact more laws, but IMO, we have enough laws that are not being enforced now. Please don't label all us parents as Vodka drinkers cause we don't supervise our kids. Our group has some of the best 11 to 15 year old riders that are very dune savy. We very often have them lead our group to or from a location as we trail behind to make sure they are doing everything as we would. If somebody gets stuck in the middle of the pack, an adult stops to help, and now there is a group of kids riding with no supervision until we catch back up, or the kids notice and turn around. I am much more concerned about "THE OTHER GUY" taking out my kids then my kids taking out themselves. For some real fun, give the kids the vodka while we race the 80's ATV_Law.pdf
  12. Late 28th thru Jan 1st. Up on the hill at the end of the 1st finger. Not the middle finger!!!!
  13. Don, no more duning at night? WTF :freakin_nuts:
  14. Nice rig Don!!! Little brother better step up........
  15. When we were out on Friday the 27th last month, it had been smoothed out, and they even had a water truck keeping it wet. Had a little pond dammed up after concrete ramp, pumped into the water truck. It was nice!!!!
  16. Just an FYI, anybody coming North on the 15 from So Cal, major construction and a freeway closure planned for this weekend just south of the 215. Check out Cal Trans and look into some alternative routes.
  17. I have heard a lot of grief from former customers of Trinity's, and they did me no favors when I was getting their mod clutch kit for an LT-80 years ago. Rudy @ Port Magic has a great name, also a place called FAST (Farm and Sand Toys) Racing gets a bunch kudos on another website (Banshee HQ), I have never spoken with Jeff (FAST) but used his input on my 'shee from Banshee HQ.
