  1. Danny and I went out for the day,but I never saw anyone filming anything.I didnt go out there just for that anyway so it wasnt a big deal.RaptorRoys 834 Rappy was fast.He finally had his way with my poor ole YFZ. DP315's Banshee conversion is one of the nicest looking streetbike quads ive seen.Very nice work.Hell of a nice guy too.It was nice meeting some people from the site out there.Ran Britincali's sprayin 500 once.Pure Evil had some nice bikes out there.Had a 10 mil YFZ out there my lil 501 was getting the better of.LIL FYI,I duned my YFZ out to the north pole with Danny, and I mean thru the hills not the flats, lol. It actually wasnt bad at all,but the dunes were real nice and smooth. We talked with some guys from the site out there with a couple really nice Buckshot rails The weather was really nice. The most fun I had all day though was on Dannys 100% bone stock YFZ.All it had was a set of 6 cup triple buff haulers and was whoopin on all the other piped 4 strokes.I never thought I could have so much fun on such a slow bike, lol.I must have hot lapped 15 races on that thing at a time. When you have a fast bike there are only a few people to race.On a slow bike there are tons to race.It was a blast!!.We radared for a while too.The single all motor 4 strokes were around 63mph and the streetbike conversions were closer to 70.Metalalien showed up but like always when you try something new there is always a chance for issues. It was a bummer but things happen.Im sure he will figure it all out.The +6 swingarm took some getting used to.I had to completely change my launching technique, and my tire pressure had to go down a pound and a half before I was happy with the hookup.By the middle of the day it was finally working well.It did however make it totally rideable which was a nice change. It held its own out there against some bikes with pretty big motors. My options to race out there were Britincali's 500 sprayin,10mil YFZ 560?,2 834 Raptors,R1 Raptor,R1 Banshee, and a Gixxer 1000 conversion. <----Thats what the day felt like, lmao. It was a hell of a lot of fun though.
  2. I think Im going to pick up a 250R for a duner.I really liked duning mikes 250R.
  3. Drag bikes arent very fun or very safe to dune my freind.
  4. Got my wheels black again and a plus 6 swingarm This is how it used to look a few weeks ago. Ya seriously it wont be going on any dune rides ever again.I need to get another quad so I can go duning again.
  5. That is pretty good stuff.Ive ran it quite a few times.I prefer c12 and U4.2 over it though. Its great fuel though and easy on the wallet.
  6. Another FYI.Carter sells u4.2 for like 75 bucks for 5 gallons and c12 for like 60 for 5 gallons. If you take a little ride out to Haycock by the airforce base you can buy 5 gallons of u4.2 for 59 bucks out the door and c12 for 49 bucks out the door.I understand supporting local shops the problem is my pockets arent deep enough.Im not going to go broke so these a holes can get rich off me. <---Retail shops with unsuspecting customers
  7. I honestly have no clue why anyone would buy parts from any of these retail shops. There are so many options I dont know why you want to take the abuse. On top of that the shipping is always slow, they NEVER have anything in stock.EVERYTHING has to be ordered. If im going to have to wait for shipping I might as well buy it off the net for 1/3 of the price and get it quicker too.I buy everything off the net.The only thing i ever buy from the retail shops is oil.Even that is overpriced.
  8. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-YFZ4...sspagenameZWDVW There ya go
  9. probably could have gotten one off ebay for $40-50 bucks. They are the same as the YFZ450.Those arms are a dime a dozen.
  10. The 23rd is a 4 stroke race.
  11. If i go for pres day ill be there on saturday for the day. After that its 4sw's.
  12. Finally Bryan, something we can agree on Being KOTH on sunday and hot summer weekends dont count
  13. Parts Direct sells FMF pillow type packing for 4 stroke pipes. Its like 8-10 dollars. It works very well.If you just use the standard 2 stroke type fiberglass stuff it pretty much all blows out on the first crack of the throttle.
  14. No,im not going.I was just at Glamis last weekend for the 4-stroke Race. You guys are all safe LOL!!My next trip will probably be in Feb.I need to beef up my clutch a little.Between my fat a$$ and the new motor the clutch is hating life.Im going to put some Ron Woods springs in and it should be good to go.The O-ringed Nmotion cylinder also cured my head gasket issues,so im pretty happy about that. :worthless_without_pics: You guys have fun and be safe.
  15. since danny blatantly refuses to gear his bike properly you might give him a run for his money. Dont come crying to me when you get worked by john.I tried to tell ya!!Worst part of the whole thing is i gave you the right sprocket and told you i would cut the extra link for ya!!
  16. You guys are silly. We will bring out the bolt on Raptor. Its the only bolt on left in the stable.Jesse is over 220lbs so we will have Danny ride it.He is around 180.Fair enough? :freakin_nuts:
  17. I look at you bikes and its obvious why one is faster than the other.Unlike your LTR you have put garbage parts on your Raptor and the best on your LTR then say its faster.I bet if your Raptor had a nice set of duals and some triple buffs it would lay a whoopin on your LTR.You have 20-10-10 junk haulers on the raptor.Just about the worst tire for the hill, lol. And its still only 2 bikes behind :freakin_nuts: Congrats!!Setup is everything and that poor Raptor has been neglected,LMAO!!Some more food for thought, that Raptor 700 has more potential in its pinky finger than that LTR will ever.
  18. This is all old news.We have already ran this race.Danny's YFZ with pipe and intake would walk all over ANY stock piped LTR you guys have to offer up...Ive been doing this thing for a while and ive already seen what bolt on LTR's can do VS bolt on YFZ's.Danny's bolt on pulled 54mph up Banshee Hill which is respectable for a bolt on 4 stroke with no motor mods.Take a radar gun on over and see what your stock piped LTR pulls.I would be shocked if it broke 49mph.There is a whole different way of looking at this too, maybe how you see it.If you are out there racing piped YFZ's with FMF pipes andb geckos,i agree you probably will win.All things being equal i just dont see it happening. But opinions are like a-holes,everyone has one and they all stink.
  19. Stock piped LTR's beating piped YFZ's hands down huh?
  20. I agree.Ive done quite a bit of testing with tires. If you are comparing apples to apples brats arent much more than triple buffs.
  21. Dont listen to these guys, start wrenching First thing to learn about is the jetting, lmao!!JK you probably should take it back there and see what they say about it.I remember wayyyyyyy back when mine was bone stock off the showroom floor,it was jetted way lean too and that was the only time i ever saw my temp light come on.
  22. Ok,find out what your stock jetting is.What number the main is and what number the pilot is.That is a start. From there go to you nearest dealership and buy yourself some jets.Whatever your main is try going up a couple sizes, and one size on the pilot and see what happens. If your main is like say a 155 go up to a 160 or 165.If your pilot is a 40 go to a 42.Just see how it reacts.Another thing you could do if you want to let it breathe more is take off the airbox lid and pull the plug out of the silencer end. That will let your motor breathe alot more but will also require more jetting. If i were you i would go over to TRX450R.ORG or ATVTECH.net and ask around over there.Im not a Honda owner so i cant tell you exactly where your jetting should be at.If you had a YFZ we would be done talking already, lol.Good Luck!!
  23. Actually extremes will cause more drag with the paddle flexing less. You are better off with regular haulers. The haulers are not for smaller bikes either, every drag bike you look at out there including mine run regular hauler cups. The stiff cups on extremes cause more drag and will slow a lesser horsepower bike down if anything.Any bolt-on type 4 stroke(IE..Pipe,intake,programmer,etc)will be better off running 6 cup comp cut Sandtires Unlimited Padla Brats. They are the lightest best performing tire you can put on a stockbore type 4 stroke. The extremes are probably more dureable than a regular hauler cup,but unless you are roosting all across the hardpack regular hauler cups will hold up great.Another thing also,if you do get haulers dont get 7 cups, get 6 if anything.7 cups is overkill if your bike isnt really hooked up.21x12x8 6 cups on 8x7 blue labels.
