  1. That does sound like a nice place to take a summer vacation!
  2. What, don't trust me dear?!? Remember I broke in the new piston on the TrailBoss once upon a time. I need to learn to drive that thing anyway! I'm so lucky you're such a good mechanic, but your parts are NOT cheap!
  3. So this sounds like it could turn into an official unofficial DDR run! You know Pete, our camp would be a good meeting spot, could take the railroad tracks down to the wash. Or meet near the Ranger station or even meet at the trail head, you know the wooden landmark we all pass on the way in, just before the wash? Is 10:00 too early to shoot for? Who would prefer a bit later?
  4. This trail ride is perfect for the Rhinos/Rangers/Golf Carts! Good practice run for a newbie!
  5. That and you have to keep in mind the whole ride home is into the sun!
  6. Totally true! Hard to sight see and watch the trail at the same time, boom, OUCH! I was told the trail is about 40 miles, sound about right? We didn't get all the way to the mine, but planning to do it this trip! Not many spots you can race, IMO, narrow and rocky, but I like it like that. (We pulled off to yield to on coming riders quite a few times.) Sightseeing is what trail riding is all about. We're gonna get an early start this time and pack a picnic lunch to take with us. At our pace, we should be back to camp for dinner!
  7. Trying to link to the album in the gallery. if this will work. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/gallery/th...s.php?album=166
  8. And a GOOD excuse to get together for some :grad:
  9. That 'road sign' is down in the Sperry wash trail, we didn't take that detour, but I assume it heads there.
  10. Ohhhhhhh, DUH!! Thank you Pete, just when I thought I had this picture thing down!
  11. Steve you ever been up to the Oregon trails?? If so, how's the riding?? The kiddos would be with us so nothing too difficult I hope.
  12. We didn't make it out there last summer, so now I'm jones'n to do a trip this summer! I LOVE Utah in the summer, even on a 'hot' day it's in the 80's, it's nothing compared to here! Well DANGIT, don't know why these 2 posted up small, but they're in our album in the gallery if you want a better look!
  13. Yeah, but her gas mileage will be ALOT better!! P.S. Just had to come back in and take another peek at her...been 10 years since we had a newborn in this house!
  14. I normally stay with the AFC team, HOWEVER, if I were going to put $$ on this one, I'd pick da Bears!
  15. Our Lucy chomps those pig ears up quickly, too! She's addicted....I get my 1st cup of coffee in the morning, she INSISTS (in that Labrador kinda way) on getting her pig ear! The rawhide bones are 9" and last her more than a day. Online sell 'em by the gross?!?
  16. She's GORGEOUS!! Congratulations! Life will never be the same from now on!
  17. As for myself, I speak as a mom who just in the last year have let my kids come out to comp at night at all!! I promise you, it's not to see "T&A" flaunted all around us. We prefer to watch idiots roll their trucks, wheelie their Rhinos, and those Sobe bombs we keep hearing so much about.
  18. WOW! There are so many intelligent and articulate peeps on this site! Please continue....
  19. My sis-in-law has bugged us for a couple years now to do that trip!! Would LOVE to check it out during summer vacation time, but considering doing Marysvale, UT this summer. We'll see. Beautiful area AND nice and cool, too!
  20. I completely agree with this statement!! Instant a-hole, just add alcohol!
  21. I buy BIG bags of pig ears and/or the rawhide bones at Sam's Club...'bout 9 bucks and some change each.
  22. So YOU'RE the 3rd vote....me, Davey, I wonder who she voted for?!?
