    Sea level

Dumb question, how high is DUMONT from sea level? I'm trying to set my gen to the proper setting, I want to set it to see if it uses less gas. Onan says the gen runs better if set at the right altitude...
  6. I think the man with the deepest pockets has the fastest rail. But it doesn't mean he can drive it. I have seen some very fast cars, but the driver was no good. HP is a big part of it, but skills makes up a larger part!
  7. Yeah it's the same rail that's for sale. I was just about to buy it, I called to make him an offer when he told me the bad news. That's got to suck big time. I hope the thieves get caught and get what's comming to them.
  8. Posting for someone I know. 04 Sandwinder was stolen before Christmas In the Desert outside the San Diego area. If you see this rail you can PM me. The rail has a 300Z motor with a turbo, If that helps any. Thanks....
  9. I have a 3500 Ram with a 3in Kore lift on 35's, I pull a WW SLC3705 I did not want to flip the axles on my 5'er. I know alot of people flip the axels, but personally I dot not like it. The only thing I had to do was raise my hitch up one notch to make it higher, so when I slide it wouldn't hit the tailgate. With a lift that high you would need to flip the axels on the fithwheel. A good rule of thumb is to put fist on top of fist on your bed rail if it clears the fithwheel you should be alright. Good Luck!
  10. Great topic, especially what happend at Glamis this last weekend. I think people need to be educated on dune etiquette. I have had people ride through my camp, it can be very dangerous if you have kids playing within your camp circle.
  11. I just read about it on the GD website. I had camped in that area last april, and I saw kids playing by the tracks and I thought to myself I hope no one ever gets hit by a train. When I read that thread my heart sunk. I just want to give my prayers to families and to every that was involved. And I hope I don't spend this next weekend counting how many times the flight for life flies in. BE SAFE, I WANT TO READ THAT EVERYONE HAD A GOOD TIME THIS WEEKEND.......
  12. I don't care how cold it gets I welcome it. It's the wind that needs to stay away. Remember Turkey day two or three years ago, it was the worst or one of the worst I had ever seen it. They are predicting the Santa Ana winds this weekend but they are becomming less and less as the days go on. It looks to be a great weekend............
  13. I'm jealous, I want one!!!!! I must be patient. Hopefully next year I can post my new car. Congrats on the new ride, you lucky Dog!
  14. Glad to see so many Dodge fans......
  15. No there is no difference on an 08' to 09' model except I think the front cap may be a little different
  16. I pulled 3 hours home fron San Diego this past weekend with my new fithwheel, I was getting 8 to 9 mpg and was doing 900 to 1100 ETG'S at 27 lbs of boost. the best thing to get is gauges, you can keep a close eye on what your engine is doing. Remember it's not a race to the dunes, slower is sometimes better! Also I belive the bigger tires and the fact it's a mega cab has something to do with it. I know those trucks are heavy.
  17. I wanted to be at Dumont Halloween weekend, But my new 5th wheel was ready for pickup. The people a Travalon RV in Alpine Ca. are top notch. No hassel, they blew Giant's price away. I got an 09' way below, than Giant's price of an 08' 2009 Weekend Warrior SLC 3705 Billet edition.
  18. Sounds good, I haven't had a chance to meet any of you peeps yet.....
  19. I have an 04.5 Dodge Ram, I have heard of the stock intercoolers failing. I have Installed the banks intercooler, I love it! with the six gun, high ram intake and exhaust that puppy hauls, well you Know. I have the stock intercooler put away, I believe it is not plastic at the inlet or output. anyone needing this item, just pm me and will let you have the cooler a hell of a lot cheaper than Dodge........
  20. I hope I didn't miss it some where, but are they going to raise the fee on holiday weekends from $30 to $40. I have no problem with that. I think they should raise it to $60, because I'm going to buy a season pass anyway
  21. I don't know about that road, I'm about to buy a new 5th wheel for this next dune season. I sure would hate to see it get rocked my first time out. I don't know how many of you been to the Las Vegas motor speedway, but in the parking lot they have what looks like to be the same thing. But they have a sealent over it whitch seems to work out pretty good. Hopefully they will seal it......
  22. This has been a question of ours for the past few years now. This last dune season has been kind of rough on the Hauler. I just hate when BLM waters the road too much, like on New Years weekend. That nasty sticky mud is hell getting off the truck and trailer. I am very HAPPY about the road going in to the dunes. I hope people respect the road and what you guys are striving for. Good Job!!!!!
  23. This Is ours NASCAR weekend, In Las Vegas.......
