  1. Heading out tomorrow early AM! Fingers crossed, the weather report looks awesome.
  2. Got the RZR tuned in by GTP and can't wait to get out there!
  3. Spoke to lady at Barstow BLM this morning and she says the grader is "On the way there now." - verbatim. I asked twice to make sure I understood correctly. Take it for what it's worth - their main number is 760-252-6000 if anyone has questions for them.
  4. Haha, yep it's your fault! Thanks, it's in really great shape. Someone will be getting a nice setup. Nice to meet you as well!
  5. Sick build Aaron. How many YFZ's have you built/owned now!?
  6. I read it was a permit issue. Pretty sad if that's the case, I know they work hard to put on a safe event that abides by the BLM guidelines.
  7. As far as wheels are concerned, don't bother with multiple sets of tires, that can be cumbersome. Look into drilling multiple patterns on one set. Take a look at this link, covers most major manufacturers, and you wouldn't have to lug 8 tires with you everywhere you go. Would work for the quads anyhow - http://www.raptorforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79624
  8. Because he treated YOU bad personally? Or because of the drama on the boards? Yes, he has been known to stir the pot. I don't always agree with the arguments he's involved in, and stay out of it. But anyone who has worked with him personally knows he'd do anything for a customer. I've worked with a ton of builders, Racers Edge, Sparks, MMAD, Kenz, Rocket Factory, The BOMB, hell if you wanna go way back I had Craycraft build me a motor for any of you who even remember those guys. I don't have a complaint about them, but none of them went above and beyond like Daniel. Anyhow, back on topic.
  9. Unfortunately, yes. He moved to Oregon. Great builder / tuner. I think it would be a very cool thing to do on the busy weekends, especially if you were able to spread the word. I bet you could garner a good amount of interest if people knew ahead of time, and you solicited on the right forums. My only question would be the BLM...I doubt they would turn a blind eye to someone running the dyno if you were making profit from it. Cool idea though, I'm sure there are a bunch of people who want to get tuned in, or simply dyno race with the other guys out there.
  10. Will do. That yellow one and Eric's old quad should be easy to spot...I hope they are stupid enough to take them out there, I'll have my eyes open.
  11. ^ This. You'll get the most power running the lowest octane fuel that still prevents detonation. Unless the fuel has an additive, or is an Oxy fuel (MRX01, U4.4, etc, etc) you're not gaining anything...except a lighter wallet.
  12. Sams Cycle Supply on Rancho has a dyno too. Maybe try giving them a call to see what they charge. Again would recommend just rolling for numbers, not tune.
  13. $250 for a dyno tune! Good lord. I would think twice about having them do anything but slapping it on the rollers for numbers. True story from ATV Cycle Sports (keep in mind, I have no bias against them, I still get a few things from them if I'm in a bind). I was speaking to one of their mechanics in the back workshop, shooting the sh** about KFX 700's since my father rides one. He tells me, "Man, you need to get a Power Commander on that thing, it REALLY wakes them up." .....well KFX 700's are carb'd. There's no such thing as a Power Commander for a KFX 700. That's scary. Aaron understands, this is why I choose to drive OUT of Las Vegas for any engine work, everytime.
  14. Thanks guys, good to know. I haven't been hassled before, I've tried to be respectful out there and can only hope it's returned. See you on the sand!
  15. This is a sweet XP and a meticulous owner!! That SDR package is VERY nice and costs a pretty penny! Side note: Owner also makes a mean pasta salad, so make sure you negotiate yourself a bowl of that with the XP. Good luck with sale, no disappointments at all with this RZR.
  16. Forgot to add - there are a couple new riders who do NOT have CA OHV stickers yet. I've advised them that the need to stop by and grab one (which they will from a gas station close to us)....but what's the deal with registration? They are Nevada residents who have not registered their quads yet, they just purchased them...will the green sticker suffice for Prez day?? I've heard stories (you know how those go) from people with conflicting ideas about what kind of documentation / stickers are needed at this current time. Appreciated -
  17. Will be out there with a group of 15-20, parking by Bathroom #3. Say hello or stop by for a beer if you happen to see me out there!
  18. Heading out tonight! I might as well not be at work today, my body is here but that is about all! Bathroom 3 for us, group of about 15. See you guys out there!
  19. Had a great time, thanks to Neal for the pics, they turned out awesome. Also thanks to the guys who brought the lights out so we could all have a good time. Appreciated
  20. Agree with all of the above. Skats are worth the extra cash, even the weight savings on rotating mass is worth the extra cost. Extremes all the way for your Raptor.
  21. Spread the word! Heading out with a group from Vegas, will have hillshooters, duners, SxS's, bring them all out!
