  1. Superdave sent me this link. Pretty damn cool. This thing hauls a$$! Runs 12's! :ah: http://www.opb.org/programs/ofg/videos/vie...ric-Drag-Racing
  2. Sometimes those old timers are the worst at being able to adapt to the new methods and strategies of working on late model cars. Things aren't like they used to be. He may know his chit, but you need many special tools but most importantly- lots of ingenuity these days to R&R even the simplest of things like a speark plug. Not sure why yours would be any different, but I'll believe you (him). Sometimes the easiest things can be a motherf*cker. Just depends how your day is going. I wasn't talking about you f*cker Yes you can buy Dexcool just about any parts store. You can mix different brands of Dexcool, but not different TYPES of colant. For example, you cannot mix Dex with green coolant.
  3. x2 yep Champion Motorsports, great guy and decent prices. They carry mostly dirtbike stuff, but can get you just about anything. x2
  4. hahaa yeah I saw that tripod sitting over near chitter 6. I was gonna snap a pic, but never got around to it. I doubt it the way the whoops are lately going to comp. They have gotten pretty deep and big.
  5. :hungry: woo hoo! Dang mang don't get blown away! :ah:
  6. Ouch. Damn man that blows. Sorry to hear that.
  7. Not exactly the same way, but close. I let mine sit for about a day, drained and flushed it. Then filled it again and let it sit for about another 2 days because the first time didn't get the nasty buildup off the bottom ofthe tank. Then I flushed it with gas instead of water because the water seemed to leave a rust film after it dried the first time around.
  8. btw, where did ya get the carb rebuild parts? I need some seals for mine.
  9. :porn:  YOU JACKASS! I understand what that text meant now. You need a day job you fuggin clown! :clown: Every day (while I'm workin my azz off) I get these damn texts from you doing STOOOOPID chit! Are you tryin to live life to the fullest before that kid is born or what? :hungry:
  10. They are basically meetings about Dumont issues and "behind the scenes" BLM type stuff at Dumont. For example: things like the budget, fees, rules, maintenance, etc. The nice thing is that the meetings are open to the public, should they decide to attend, and there is a time slot allotted for public comments or concern at the end. The BLM are usually very open and willing to listen too. BTW you can look up the "minutes" from past meetings and see exactly what has been talked about. It's on the BLM/ TRT's website.
  11. no you don't have to change injectors at a certain mileage. Some may last 50K miles, some may last 150K. You just never know. They take a chit when they want to. Just try and run a bottle of GOOD injector cleaner (like the GM stuff) through the tank every so often (at least once or twice a year) and don't buy chit gas. As for the Dexcool, don't ever let it go low. That's when it really creates bad buildup from getting aerated and causes chit like heater cores to plug up. Ask fctryblack84 about that. :porn: It should be flushed after about 80 or 100K miles or so.
  12. haha, actually today he told me he didn't stay thru the weekend. I think he said he left on the 31st.
  13. Great pics and writeup Kevin. wtf...Crowley makes a trip all the way to D and doesn't say anything? :hungry: Sup w/ that Jon? :porn:
  14. ahh doesn't really matter. I just remember I put it on our videos page a while back. :B http://dumontduneriders.com/videos/06_07_season_recap.wmv I had to watch that video again just now. That was a fun season.
  15. Nope, but I doubt it was very strong stuff. I bought it from Lowes and it was for pools so I doubt it was crazy potent in the first place.
  16. Soak the tank in muriatic acid. Worked great on mine. I soaked it for about 1-2 days and it looks alomst new inside now. It was nasty too!
  17. It was about 10:30 when we got to Dumont (friday, 1-2-09) and saw the helicopter flyin overhead. Joe Duner and wsky70 told me about it when we got there. They didn't know many details though other than one was taken out on a backboard. Just wondering. I hope everyone was ok. Anyone know what happened or see it? Someone's gotta know around here.
  18. This is no joke. We spotted this in Tecopa. This trailer was actually hooked up to this T-bird and almost dragging the on the ground. Pretty scary if you ask me. BTW, note the "no parking" sign in the background too.
  19. Yep, the last one was a saturday. They usually do one a year on a saturday for that reason.
