OK so I picked up the Canon SD1000 tonight. I got it for 179.99 and added a Ultra II 2 GB memory card, a 2 year accidental insurance plan, and an accessory kit wihich has an extra battery and a nice leather case. All that for a smidge over 3 bills. Not bad. I can't wait to take some good pics of the drags this weekend at Dumont. yiah yiah

I have put together a better visible map of the areas that are "out of bounds" along with a page explaining the importance of staying out of these areas. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/closure_threat.html For anyone displaying this banner in their sig, ...it would be effective to link it to that page as well. .

Very cool Stephan. Thanks for the build-up and pics. It will be very interesting to watch this car come together. You can pimp your cars on here anytime.

Hmm, aux inputs on a regular deck for a DVD player sounds like a good idea. That way the surround speakers can can still be used for the sound. I wonder if I can get a deck that has surround though.

Yeah that thing has like no freakin droop at all. :freakin_nuts:
  16. dunefreak
Thats funny. Except that isn't where "el presidente" is gonna be! :freakin_nuts: Close though!

Does that car deck play DVD's though? My TV hooks into a video RCA jack on the wall which is wired to the POS DVD/CD/radio head unit. The head unit also has a tv tuner as well, but I don't even care about that. I have never watched local tv stations in my hauler. The sound for the DVD or whatever is played through the surrounded speakers that are mounted in the cieling and outside the hauler.

    Is it wrong to laugh?

Say what? 320 grand???? What rail was THIS and who told you THAT? I'll reassure you, I have nowhere near 320 grand in my rail or even 50 for that matter. I understand everything has a price. I am willing to pay for qaulity, but I don't need a camera that high in quality.

bring it where? We have an alignment rack at the dealership.
  21. dunefreak
now thats just stupid talk right there Yeah I am leaning towards that Canon SD1000.
  22. dunefreak
dumb question, but have you tried the chevy dealership yet?
  23. dunefreak
It's looking like I might have to get custom if I want anything of quality. This is so stupid. What do ya want in a toyhauler for 30 grand right!!?? This is the closest thing I have found. http://www.b2loud.com/items/item331.htm
  24. dunefreak
oh ok. I thought that MIGHT have been the one you were referring to but I wasn't sure. Thanks Mike. I think I might pick that one up this week so I have it for Dumont this weekend.
  25. dunefreak
Man I'd love to but I won't have the rail out this weekend. Thanks though.
