Well I was hoping maybe just maybe someone from DDR would be interested in helping Nick Sullivan out since I can not, but now I guess I should have known better. Sorry Nick. Most of the dune riders probably aren't going to fit into the category of person you might be looking for.

Well if there is a grey area regarding the flags on 2 wheelers, then the BLM ranger was unaware of that who rushed over to a friend of mine missing a flag on Saturday at comp. Maybe they just so happen to overlook these 2 whatever they are: blm, sheriff office personal, or whatever. I was under the inpression EVERY bike that is ridden at Dumont (whether it be on the flats or on the dunes)...needs a flag.

yeah no kidding, but no...I'm not even gonna battle it. I'm just gonna pay it and move on with a little bit of bitterness.

I, myself, am able to overlook the petty little things (like a flag) that Rangers do wrong as soon as they do the same for us and concentrate on the more serious issues at hand. I have the utmost respect for the rangers depsite my little run-in with them over the weekend. It's gonna be hard to keep that respect though if they start acting like hypocrits.

It depends on where you are parked. I can get 4 bars along the first finger and then I don't get sh*t along the second finger dune.

Not that I am sticking up for him, but he doesn't read the posts. He told me he comes on from time to time to check the pm's that he is notified about in his e-mail.

Why has this turned into an attack on me or the ones who got tickets? That's completely beside the point. Yes I got my ticket, yes I'm gonna b*tch about it because I wasn't doing anything wrong in my opinion, and then I'm gonna pay the fine like a big boy. Terry, I have no problem with them having fun, but aren't they there to keep an eye on things? How can they do that when they are duning their bikes up the hill or drag racing their trucks? I bet the chit would hit the fan if somebody was in need of assistance or something happened where they were needed to respond to it and they were out having fun instead of being there for the public.

Cole, for the cleanup they supply a big dumpster and some trash bags. There will be no need to haul it back that trip....unless you really want to I guess.

haha Your video was ok, Craig. No...when I say DUNE your truck I mean dune it like a rail...over razor backs, up steep hills etc. I don't see anything wrong with cruising some of the small stuff, but when you start getting up on these really big dunes where you are prone to roll...thats just plain stupid. Common sense, people. :mc_smiley:
